T-Mac's shots are still my favorite. It was just insane. He couldn't miss. And in a low scoring game where no one could hit anything beforehand. Just crazy.
One of the most impressive feats in NBA history in my opinion. It will never be replicated in our lifetime.. especially against a team like the spurs who were an elite defensive team.. I mean the score should prove how good the defense was on both sides actually. It’s a shame T-Mac never won a ring. But props to him for not ring chasing like the leagues best do today….. 🐍 Durant
What impresses me most about the McGrady sequence is that he not only scored 13 points, he scored 13 points in a game where the final result was 81-80. The guy scored 16% of their total points in 33 seconds.
I love how in every video like this, T Mac's 13 points in 33 seconds is always the top. It's like there's a global basketball consensus that it is the single most impressive thing ever done on a basketball court.
@@IONTENNISTHAT That's only a 2 part sequence tho, T mac making 3 3s including an And1 with defenders all over him on every shot is easily more impressive
The craziest part about TMac’s sequence is that throughout the whole thing the rockets had to intentionally foul and the spurs made every single free throw…yet he still managed to make the comeback
Loving the "increasingly" series. Please do more. A few ideas I'd like to see: Misses but they become increasingly more costly Mismatches but they become increasingly more unfair Street moves in the NBA but they become increasingly more unique Cold streaks but they become longer
What was even more impressive about that T-Mac 13 points in 33 seconds was that he did it against the Spurs who had the lowest defensive rating by far that year and in fact had a historic defense and somehow, T-Mac pulled that off.
@@lonzoballcandoitall4132 I mean since defensive rating is involved with the amount of points scored on you per 100 possessions it is actually kind of better being lower since lower the rating, better the defense. When you say it it seems wrong but defensive rating is actually a stat that's good when it's the lowest.
That shot shouldn’t have counted though, the Spurs argued the shot clock being .4 seconds was too short for it to be a fadeaway jump shot and Derek Fisher who made the shot also said he felt like the clock started late
Yeah, it's a damn shame. Roy was really becoming a super star, I cried when he retired because of his potential and that he couldn't achieve his dream anymore.
@@dankburrito8345 Fans and Brandon alike cried when he retired. That man's blood was made of leather and nylon. His life-force was on the court. Everyone could see, feel and hear it. His heart literally broke when he realized he didn't have a choice, and so did most of ours. In a way I think the fan base literally found themselves living through Brandon while he played, and once he was done, it was a collective recognition of that fact.
The block in oladipo was actually a goal tend the didn’t call I remember being pissed when I watched that game but obviously no one remembers it because of what he did after
Something about that bron shot after Zions dunk is just crazy af to me . The confidence in that shot is all time high . He had the whole shot clock left and he was half court
@@kowaisenpai82 yeah I’m realizing the 2 for 1 now . But even then , he still had a few more seconds to get a higher percentage shot . He said fuck that and went full curry mode
8:06 Greatest sequence in NBA history ever seen and recorded. In 30 seconds he makes 4's with 1 foul. This is why you never give up and why Tmac need not be forgotten.
i was still 14 years old when that tmac scene happened! and i watched it live on TV! as everybody in arena leaving and i decided to continue watching, boy oh boy let me tell u something that was the greatest decision of my life to continue watching the game til the end, games not over untill the time goes 00.00
Bro I was like 16 when I watched it live to. Was on the phone with friends you know everybody use to 3 and 4 way back then🤣. I was screaming like a madman because they had changed the channel and I was still watching it.
Nigga, if they traded Tmac to the 76ers with AI.. that attracts a better big man or just another better player in general & it’s a wrap. I’m forever salty That fckng roster How tf did that roster get to the finals man ? That roster was smelly hot doodoo & Yao Ming 🙇 was just too big for his own good
I still remember that exact sequence perfectly. MAN I miss those days. Thomas Robinson may not have been positively impactful overall on his teams, but god sake he was so much fun to watch in the little spurts he did get. He was best used like that too - super short little situational spurts of time, like 2-4 minutes at a time, max of around 10 minutes in a game. One of the most inconvenient kinds of role players, but undoubtedly impactful as hell when used that way. And to think, that was what? 2014 or 2015? 7 or 8 years ago now! Like, DAMN!
Love, love this series. I'm not even into sports, but this shit is too awesome not to witness. By this point I expect players to just start sliding across the court and defying gravity like it's a badly tested EA SPORTS game.
I absolutely love the fact I got to see Rudy again. Man I fucking miss those days of this Blazers team. I still have and wear Rudy's jersey too. RRRUUUUUUDDDDYYYYYY!!!!! haha. Man was ridiculously fun to watch, and played his role so damn well. Wildly underappreciated player for sure.
He is still playing for Real Madrid!!!!!! where he has won several titles over the last 10 years. At this moment he is regreasing like crazy, but few years ago when luka was still here he was a showman and a beast. Dude could miss all the shots and then turn up in the 4th hitting 10 consecutive points. Spanish legend and european greatness
@@jaquaveonandress649 Super underappreciated dunker, too. Rudy had springs like you would never expect on any white guy. Him & Elliot Williams were such great players, though EWill never lived up to his potential or skills since he was more brittle than an autumn leaf.
You gotta include Dame's first series clinching shot against the Rockets. Still one of my all time favorite basketball moments. Love the old Rudy Fernandez clips though, you dug deep for those. Would've been cool if you had the old clip of Travis Outlaw getting back to back reverse alley oops from half court. Those happened in that same Blazers era.
Because he does things at his size and weight that will never be done his IQ is S tier and he actually carried teams somewhere unlike other guys who had a front office give them real players
Great to see some old school sequences too! I missed MJ's sequence scoring, getting a steal, turning over and then running to block, all in like 8 seconds
Although not the best on this list by any means, BUT, the Portland and Minnesota sequence is hands down my favorite! Gives me the most chills. The energy of the crowd after the revenge block, like u block our man, we block yours, then the icing on the cake, WE PUT IT ON YOU F'KN HEAD! Just great!
That Derrick Fisher shot is still fishy to this day, supposed to believe that he not only caught the ball, but turned around, faded away then shot the ball all within 0.4 seconds.
The block/halfcourt shot by Wade against Phoenix I saw with my grandpa when I was like 9 I’ll never forget it.. we were stunned… we would watch him play ever game in florida we lived in South Florida he was our favorite player without a doubt, mid 2000’s Dwayne Wade was a God
@T10 - Came here to comment this. That almost ruins Roy’s shot for me, haha. He shouldn’t have had that much time to shoot-the clock damn near stopped with Yao’s shot in midair.
This brings back all kinds of great memories. You’re really on to something with this format. Another good one would be. Refs bad calls that get more obviously bad or costly
that McGrady sequence is still, and probably always will be, the greatest sequence in NBA history. Think about. He had 13 in points...IN 33 SECONDS. LIKE WHAT!??!?!
