Coach Nick made a good point about Steph Curry improving his ball handling from his first year to now. Some people may not notice when a player improves their game but I notice it and to me its refreshing. It shows a player's work ethic and dedication to the game. Steph's strenght and athleticism also improved. Kevin Durant would be another good example of work ethic from rookie season to now. His mechanics were not that good and his athleticism and strength was not nearly what it is today. I'm always curious what guys like Steph and Kevin are specifically doing during the offseason to make those strides.

What about in the post; a lot of Kobe's mid range shots come from the post.

I feel like all of those rules the NBA made to get rid of handchecking really hurt the use of mid range game.

Coach what are you're thoughts on Tom Thibodeau being fired
@VoxEOD
@VoxEOD 9 лет назад
Geoff Gustav BBALLBREAKDOWN I agree that's a good person/topic to reflect on. I think a cool idea would be the good and bad of Thibodeau's coaching since he began with the Bulls

Luis Scola is an example of a player that has a good mid range game.
@ReyLentless
@ReyLentless 9 лет назад
Oliver Fyffe He makes open midrange shots, but those are mostly catch and shoot situations, similar to what Pau Gasol does. I think Kobe was the best example of someone attacking with a drive and pulling up, which is what this drill/video was really about.

So does Al Horford.

Oliver Fyffe Scola had some good moments in the NBA and had a decent career in the states but when he played on the international level for Argentina and Tau Ceramica he was on a whole another level of skill. Even back then he had no atlethic ability for a basketball player and he would still dominate much stronger and taller big guys. He would always start from the mid range area and was able to go into hundred different directions from there. Matjaž Smodiš was another guy like that but most of people have no idea who he is. I think he was even better then Scola and had a better career in EU.

Sorry, I just have to point out that it's not "Raleigh-Durham", North Carolina, it's Raleigh, NC or Durham, NC. They're 2 separate cities! This might seem nitpicky but if you live in Raleigh you know how annoying that is.

Hahaha. NBA TV blocked a video asking if a Cleveland player is dirty or not; Lebron James is the poster boy for NBA and is in Cleveland. Coincidence? I think not, fellow conspiracy theorists.
@modetallah
@modetallah 9 лет назад
Steven O Well I highly doubt that, considering both Coach Nick and Ronnie Nunn came to the agreement that he isn't a dirty player, just a player who is a hard hustler.

That's not a realistic body position, who is that low while dribbling the ball, even when you're fighting contact?
@bletma281
@bletma281 9 лет назад
He is actually correct Most players need to get lower to blow by the defender and if the defender follows them that low body position provides the explosiveness and quickness to fool the defender in thinking you are driving in
