People have accused me of rigging this as a Celtics fan I thought I was pretty clear about this being a Cpu vs Cpu game and guys It's 2K This literally has no effect on my, or you guy's lives to go that far to rig it lmao
That being said, the 2004 Lakers in their prime, the 2013 or 2014 Heat (prime '06 Wade, '09 LeBron, Toronto Bosh, prime Ray and Rashard, prime Memphis Mike Miller & Battier) would be fun to see. Or even the Rockets when they had Barkley, Drexler, Hakeem (and Pippen?) would be nice. 2007 Denver with prime Melo and AI would be lit too. Just a couple ideas.
Great vid but realistically, there's no stopping the celtics. Shaq in his prime was literally unguardable, so you know he'd be drawing double teams, and you have one of the best PFs of all time to spread the postt. So not only do the Lakers have to worry about stacking the paint, you have two of the greatest 3 point shooters Ray and Pierce spreading out the paint, and Rondo who will find the open man and would expose Nash's defense for open looks, or drawing attention to find an open man. Would be unstoppable
in 2010 all the Cs were past their prime except for rondo who was just entering it. Also lakers were awarded way to many ft in game 7, just like in 2002 against the kings
yeah with every celtic player in their prime, prime shaq, pierce, and garnett all at once is just unstoppable, miami heat in their prime is really the only people who i feel like have a chance to make a series against them, or maybe prime 96 bulls or some shit lol but whos gonna stop prime rondo ray allen paul pierce KG and shaq all on the court at the same time, nobody
+Totoy Bitoy I agree. But in THAT situation? Nah.. That's full Mamba time. I honestly don't see a world where a prime Nash, Kobe, Artest, Gasol and Dwight lose. He isn't giving Artest's defense enough credit. Artest had locked down Pierce, Carter, McGrady and tons of great players in his prime. Either he's a Celtics fan, or he finds Pierce to be greater than he is. Prime Shaq and KG would be the only players I see playing well for the Celtics in this one. Nash isn't a good defender, but Rondo is a bad offensive player so it doesn't matter. Allen can't guard Kobe, but Kobe can guard Allen. Artest and Pierce would both not impact this game that much. Pierce would get open and knock a few shots, but he won't be isolating or sinking shots on Artest easily.
okay, but going by that logic you could make an excuse for every mistake the cpu made in this game for both sides, celtics AND lakers. you could make the argument that the celtics could have sealed the game way earlier by just letting shaq work in the paint, and then either draw a double team and kick it out, or just abuse whoever's defending him since 01 shaq was absolutely unstoppable in the paint. its a 2k cpu vs cpu simulation, its not gonna be completely accurate to life in the way that the players act.
+Dom2k man i have to say man you have to find something else to simulate these games because 2k i have played for 3 years and we all know that its fake and the outcomes are not even gonna be close to what the actual outcome would be
awsomekid12345678 Nothing exists that will ever give an accurate outcome tbh. We will never know how a group of guys would perform unless it actually happened
I honestly believe the 2012/13 lakers would've won the finals if all of their players were healthy and had time to gel, even if Nash was out of his prime
The difference between Dwight and Shaq summed up in one play. Shaq finishes with a historic jam after getting the alley from Kobe. Dwight misses the ball and it goes out of bounds
This is really good. I was actually entertained not only from the commentary, but how the gameplay was shown. Keep up the good work dude. I'm actually excited for more.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Today, we take a look at what would happen if the 2011 Celtics and the 2012 Lakers players were all in their primes, and played each other. I had a lot of fun with this one. Prime Nash>Rondo Prime Kobe>Prime Allen Prime Pierce>Prime Artest(Not sure because Artest was a BEAST on defense) Prime Garnett>Gasol Prime Shaq>Dwight
This celtics team besides Shaq was already playing with each other for years so they would have better chemistry plus they had the best defense in the league that year so putting them in their prime would only heighten that
+Dylan Manuel Yeah that also plays into effect. This "superteam" by the Lakers had really bad chemistry and their season showed it. Even though I'm a die hard Laker and Kobe fan, Celtics take this one.
I've been here since the 3rd episode of 3kony(even though that was on the other channel) and you still never cease to amaze me. Your videos are so well thought out and I think they are some of the best videos on all of RU-vid. You should make this video into a series called Prime Battles or something like that. Maybe you could even do a bracket with the best "prime teams".
man as a laker fan, I was all hyped about that roster. I literally watched every single game and not going to lie. When they fired the head coach and the assistant coach took over. They played well. It was exciting to see them play and then mike came in. Thing were still shaky. Players got injured and never bounced back. The best game i remember watching was kobe making three clutch threes against portland. Kobe really wanted to make the playoffs that he gave it his all. Suck that he got injured.
This was INTENSE! It was intriguing, epic, seemed real! Also the author did great editing and narrating job! I really enjoyed it, except Celts wining because I am diehard Lakers fan. Anyway my like and subscription!
1. Why is Pau Gasol guarding Pierce and Allen? 2.'06 should've been in this game instead! That was the most dominant Kobe of all time... '06 Kobe wouldn't have made that mistake because 24 year old Kobe was more experienced than young Kobe 21 year old in '01
+TheBlazinAsian XIV i thought of this but technically he wouldn't be of that age because Kobe's birthday is in August and there is no NBA basketball in August so therefore he would be 24 maybe my math is off
George Tillis the biggest differencial would be that he could be 25 in 06 being 21 in 01 prior to the day previous of his bday, as it's not possible to lap 2 years (730.5 days) of time in the space of 4 years where at most 364 would've passed lol
Bro I’m high as fuck and watching this was absolutely amazing. Don if you see this man 4 years later this is a masterpiece. I remember watching this back in high school man. Keep bringing brother.
+Dom2k no problem man. if you want to even take it to better heights, watch renenko's Adobe audition tut. harder but you can get max results...a better mic like a blue yeti/yeti pro helps tons too. I'm an avid fan of your work, keep up with the great vids ;)
Great video though there is one flaw there. 2000-2001 Kobe wasn't prime Kobe, 2005-2006 81 points Kobe was prime Kobe, he was a more complete player and had increased his three point percentage from 30% (in 00-01) to 35%(in 05-06). That's a big turning point. But good video nonetheless that you worked hard on. It inspired me to do my own video of this scenario, this time using 05-06 Kobe, as well as the primes of the bench players on both teams (which means a prime Avery Bradley on the Celtics bench as well) and I ran that scenario instead. But I wasn't satisfied with just one game, so instead I simmed a 7 game series, with the Lakers being the home team the first 2 games, the Celtics being the home team the next 3 games and the Lakers being the home team for the last 2. I'll do a video on this later as soon as I can make the edits in 2K so that it matches up with the stats from the simulated games on WhatifSports. That video will be up hopefully sometime this coming week. I hope that if you get the chance to see it you'll enjoy it as much as I enjoyed this one ^_^
Jose Lechuga But he didn't run it in the game, he ran it on a website that simulated games, and 2005-2006 Kobe is available. I'll make a video on it later :)
Can't believe I say through the whole thing. Nice touch with the suspenseful music at crunch time! Only critique is could you add a score board as game goes by? Great stuff man
Who's your top 5 Celtics? IMO it should be #1 Russell #2 Bird #3 Pierce #4 Cousy #5 McHale I may not be the best at basketball, but this is my opinion.
i dont think kobe would of pass that last chance he had he would shoot n make it on ray allen it been proven before nba finals game 3 08 he made the last 2 shots on allen 2010 reg season last seconds of the game he hit the clutch shot on allen again
Damn Dom back at it again with the awesome vid bro I have watched all your vids and loved all keep doing what your doing you have a great voice and are really good at editing ( vid made my day thx )
+Tony Young You realize, Shaq is the most dominant big man ever, he is the greatest center ever in my opinion. also Rondo and Nash are equal in passing. the Celtics have 2 mvps also
best Basketball uploader on youtube. Also a game I would really like to see is the 05-06 Miami Heat with Prime D-Wade vs the 85-86 Chicago Bulls, I would just love to see the war waged between two of the best Shooting Guards in NBA history. Flash D-Wade vs. Vintage Air Jordan would be one of the greatest match-ups I could Imagine, everyone talks about Kobe vs Jordan for obvious reasons, but give Wade some love guys he's awesome.
That'd be a good game. Russell vs. Wilt, Cousy vs. Magic, Kobe vs. Havlicek, Bird vs. Baylor and McHale vs. Worthy or Kareem. That would be awesome to see
+Boogie Cousins #MakeNBAFairAgain I'm not a kobetard, I'm just saying the help he got was not in his level, rather then Shaquille, or they didn't show up or live up to expectations they were supposed to. That's my opinion, do you have something to argue my opinion.
You are misinformed, the 60s rivalry was between Jerry west and Elgin Baylor against Russell and company. Wilt played with the lakers in one year in the 60s decade.
The best Kobe was the "screwed out of MVP because of the Colorado trial a couple years back" Kobe. This entire video is about putting the best versions of each player on the floor and you didn't put the best version of the best player in this matchup on the floor. Asinine.
I put 01 Kobe because he's straight from the game, that's still one of his best versions, and what purpose would having 06 have served? He still put up 28 and 17 in this game, how many more points was he going to or did he need to score next to 4 other superstars?
Dom2k Because 81pts, 62-in-3qtrs Kobe is pound for pound the single greatest scorer in the history of basketball not named Jordan. That's why. If you're not going to use the best Kobe, you can make the same argument for using Miami Heat Shaq instead. How many more points was he going to or did he need to score next to 4 other superstars? I mean, at least quit showing a blatant disrespect to people who clicked this video expecting to see something and being mislead by the title. Change the title to something more accurate like "NBA2K what if scenarios: What if the 2011 Celtics played the 2012 Lakers MOSTLY in their primes?" or "NBA2K what if scenarios: What if the 2011 Celtics played the 2012 Lakers in their primes*? *Withe one huge exception"
***** Lol comparing the difference between 01 Kobe and 06 Kobe is nowhere near the same as comparing 01 Shaq who was doing crazy shit on the regular like 30 points and 15 rebounds to shaq that averaged 15 in the finals, nice try tho, you`re really worked up over nothing, find something legitamate on the internet to be mad over. Oh, and thanks for the view!
Dom2k Uh, yeah, it's the same. Again, when you ignore the best backcourt scorer in the history of basketball not named MJ, it kinda makes a huge difference, But hey, it was easier to just use whatever the game gave you rather than putting forth any effort into the video. Also, why is it you sound like every sentence is cut off midway through? It's like you're about to get to the second half of each sentence but never bother. Your cadence had me laughing at first then it became unbearable. It's like you never spoke English before or had any clue what you were going to say next. Is that a speech impediment or do you just read at a second grade level or some combination of both? Either way, next time try to put forth a little effort. At least I won't have to hear it anymore. L
***** I would certainly agree he found more success that's for sure and frankly he was still in his prime with the Lakers so I can definitely see a sound argument being made that's entirely true.
So did you expect any version of Kobe that was in this to put up 40 playing next to 4 other stars... I don`t think it mattered much the difference isn`t glaring
+Hopeful Baller fuck the green fuck all yaaa bitches GOLD AND PURPLE ALL DAY TILL I DIE GOLD SHINES OUT AND MASHES A LITTLE STUPID GREEN LEAF YA STUPID LEPRECHAUNS
1. Kobe wouldn't have botched a simple lob when he threw one to Shaq thru the Blazers defense in the Playoffs 2. Y'all really underrating Antawn Jamison in his prime. Dude used to drop 30 and 40 like nothing 3. If you used real Prime Kobe from '06 he would score 63 and this would be a blowout
I mean your argument isn't really relevant to me i didn't decide the outcome 2k did. I was just pointing out how irrational it was to expect 63 from Kobe on a team of all stars, like, what would that have helped
The outcome is very relevant to you, yes 2k generated the outcome but you plugged in the variables, such as the wrong Kobe Bryant. I was suggesting that if you truly wanted a real example of how this game would go, you'd use/create the 06 Kobe Bryant, then use the gameplay 2k generates that seemed most realistic. The 63 from Kobe was just a metaphor for why 06 Kobe was better than 01 Kobe. If he did drop 63 on a team full of all stars, it would have helped get the rest of them motivated not to mention keep the team in the lead like when he dropped 81. We just saw Kyrie do that tonight to help Bron get going offensively in Game 4
Y'all really underestimate Steve Nash lmao. Think about this. Steph Curry is a modern day Steve Nash with a bit better shooting and worse passing. They demolishing the Celtics
