Live from Times Square in New York City, host Carson Daly celebrates the New Year with a special performance from international recording superstar Gwen Stefani performing her single "Used to Love You."
2023 is coming up and I always come back to this because 2016 was the greatest year for everything. As a 17 year old boy I can respectfully say it was the greatest year
Me too 2016 was actually a great year for me! I mean it did had some sadistic moments but it was still a great year for me! It’s probably my 4th favorite year ever!
I honestly don't care what people think of 2016 for me it was an AWESOME YEAR! The only flaws was the winter and the thanksgiving but other than that it was a great year!
2016 ages for each year! 2017: 1 year ago 2018: 2 years ago 2019: 3 years ago 2020: 4 years ago 2021: 5 years ago 2022: 6 years ago 2023: 7 years ago (present)
@@notfamilyfriendlylol5777Bro I just commented on your comment from 2019 New Years countdown! I also came to see the 2016 New Years countdown for some more nostalgic memories. Didn’t know I would find you here as well LOL.
@@hossainayon9588 and now it’s been 7 years since 2016. Happy new years to you and everyone it’s now 2023. I wish you a good new year and a 2023 to you and everyone.
2016 New Years was incredibly hard for me my brother passed away in November of 2015 and I just remember crying because I couldn’t celebrate New Years with him
People from 3 years ago saying "Hah little did they know 2016 would be bad" or whatever. ah, good times. Cant wait for people in 2024 to read my comment as theyre experiencing a nuclear fallout.
2016 is the year that changed my life. At the 4th of January of that year I left my beloved old house, and started to live at my new house where I still live today. This is the only year that helped me to make new close friends that I still have today. Whenever I recall my old memories I say "You will always remain in my hearts. I miss you 2016." 😢😢
2016 was amazing. It's impossible for me to believe that it was 5 years ago. It doesn't feel like 2021 Edit: wow already a month. it's cool that you guys also agree that time is flying a bit too fast. Also my 2021 is not going good but not too much has happened. Also in my opinion 2020 was kind of an okay year but just to chaotic
@@julianceja4091 i feel like the earth rotation multiplies each year passed. Or maybe the ocean waves are getting faster and faster each day/month/year/decade.
Ngl, 2016 was the best year for me, I was 9 years old in 2016, made a lot of memories, Halloween 2016 my lil brother was a Spider-Man, Christmas he got 100 presents, and during new years we watched it
2016 was the awesomest year of my life, all de-ja-vu, nostalgia from the past returned back, me mainly going there in over 16 years eight years ago other memories i had that year and Undertaker becoming 23-1 for the whole of 2016.
@@TK7official Me too! It was the year I went to Florida, The year my favorite show The Loud house came out, But it had some flaws: 1. Prince Died 2. Trump became president 3. George Michael died 4. Zika Virus 5. Continued threat from ISIS But for me it was a good year
Why did the 1 stay up for 2 seconds? It’s called a leap second. Since the earth slows down every year they had to add an extra second, but in 2020 the earth sped up so now we got seconds being taken away. Edit: Taking away a second is called a negative leap second, and they’ve been talking giving seconds for years, since 1972, now they’re taking them away.
I completely understand NeNe Leaks on getting emotional every year watching the ball drop. I just don't know why get all emotional and tear up as well.
ok so i'm gonna ask a very touristy question and i apologize in advance.... so I'm going to New York for new years this year, and was wondering what a good time to get to times square so i can be close to the all the action? Also how cold does it get?
Given that you're right, how 2020 was like an hour ago, while 2018 was a few seconds ago? 2018 happened before 2020, a peaceful year before the pandemic.
