Here's the complete broadcast of a first-run episode of Gavilan, "The Guns of Harry August" (S01E09), as aired on the NBC Network over its Chicago outlet WMAQ Channel 5. (previously posted with just the open and ending, here: • WMAQ Channel 5 - Gavil... )
This very short-lived series (of which this was the penultimate episode to air) starred Robert Urich (late of Vega$) as former CIA agent turned oceanographer Robert Gavilan; along with Kate Reid (as his boss Marion Jaworski) and former Avengers star Patrick Macnee (as Milo Bentley, an old friend of his father's). One of the guests on this episode - Michele Greene - would later become a co-star of L.A. Law.
(don't read too quick and mistake it for "Galivan")
Trivia: As viewer "Illinois Jones" comments, "WOW! The courtyard At 11:00 - this is the Cat N Fiddle Bar on Sunset Blvd, in Hollywood. I worked the door there dozens of times and met Vince Vaughn there, Morrissey many times, and dozens of others. Good memories. Nobody was "starry" there, it was like a casual Chicago bar. Famous people would go to have a 'normal' day out, and grab a beer. The last movie filmed there before its unfortunate complicated closure was Ben Affleck's "Live by Night". Also noticed it in the rare "Copacabana" TV movie - Barry Manilow. Pleasant surprise seeing this!!!"

Just after Robert Ulrich finished "VEGAS" on ABC, he starred in this NBC series from Fall 1982, which was short-lived (10 episodes in total), just three years before ABC's "SPENCER FOR HIRE" in Fall 1985. "GAVILAN" was produced by what used to be called MGM/UA Television (shortly after the 1981 merger with MGM and United Artists), and four years before MGM/UA was sold to Ted Turner. one of the guest stars in "The Guns Of Harry August" was Michelle Greene, who, five years later, became part of the ensamble cast of NBC/20th Century FoxTelevision's "LA LAW" (1986-1994)

Patrick MacNee became famous for his role as John Steed on THE AVENGERS ( 1961-69) . He would later appear in an updated version of the series titled THE NEW AVENGERS 1976-77 ( UK) , 1978 -79 ( US) where it aired as a part of THE CBS LATE MOVIE. It was Joanna Lumley's (ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS aka AB FAB) first major role. He passed away in June of 2015 aged 93.

"Promo for Just Men! game show, hosted by Betty White." Though Just Men was short-lived, it was history making for Betty White as she became the first female to win a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Game Show Host. It's a feat repeated not once, but TWICE, by Meredith Vieira in 2005 and 2009 for her hosting the syndicated run of Who Wants to be A Millionaire.

41:22 Elisbeth Shue for BK. She appeared in over 20 ads for the chain in the early 80s . Earlier that holiday season Lea Thompson and Sarah Michelle Gellar ( age 5) appeared in a Christmas themed ad for the burger chain w/ Elisabeth.

This wasn't a terrible show, and I was surprised at the time that NBC killed it so quickly. "The Devlin Connection" I understood, since Rock Hudson had caused all kinds of problems with that one (and it was a trainwreck), but I felt "Gavilan" deserved a full season to find its way. Had it gotten "The A-Team" as a lead-in, who knows what might have been.
