Modern customs (of not coming empty handed) are not in themselves a hardship, in as much as they are conscious of the idea that those who do the hosting are incurring a lot of expenses to produce a celebration of any kind. Coming with something in their hand absolves the person whose invited from feeling like they ate for free at another person's expense. In the Arab world every family has a ledger of what they've been given, so they can pay back that kindness when its someone else's wedding for example. Its cooperative and communal and spreads joy.
Well thats a potluck. If you are having a gathering based on your own celebration (hifz, wedding etc) then you should make it based on means. Dont invite 200 when you can only afford 20
What do you know about the Sahaba to say we should follow them? What do you know about the ones introducing Mawleed? O jahil modern day know-it-alls... stop being such arrogant numbskulls, you are lightyears away from following the Sahaba.
Did you even watch the video ? You think because some attach the worship hence we should not permit mawlid, then let's prohibit dua as well because people direct dua's to others than Allah, let's stop prayers/worship too because people pray to idols. Only because someone does something haram in a celebration or other than it doesn't mean the celebration itself is haram.
Which is why we follow the Scholars and not our whims buddy. Educate yourself, and know that multiple rightly guided opinions exist on an issue. Edit: I don’t think you even know what the background of Christmas is, else you wouldn’t have said that. Jazakallah khayr
He said we can only celebrate things that are halal. Christmas is a celebration for the Christians where they believe that God was born, which is not permissible for us to believe, so I don't think Christmas would be safe...
I understand mawlid gatherings which are done regularly, but from what I understand from hanafi ulama that mawlid gatherings only specified in 12th rabi al awwal are problematic, some individuals in my community have gone to the point of calling it eid
Well, Eid means celebration. Celebration = to be happy Are you happy the Prophet ﷺ was born? Yes = you celebrate Mawid When we come to the 12th Rabi ul-Awwal, we are reminded of the blessing of the birth of the Prophet ﷺ and our happiness is even more expressed. So in essence it is an “Eid”, celebration.
Yes celebration of the beloved prophet should be 24/7 on 360 days a year not only once a year that's not true love... And in a sharee' sense we see that there are only 2 eids not 3, And no eid means to feast thus the sacrifice al adha and eating after fasting on al fitr, Even the proof of mawlid shows that it shouldn't be specified on 1 date, this isn't the way of the sahabah
@@user-dg4dz3ot1s of course it should be celebrated throughout the year. But that happiness can also increase. It only makes sense that one will be more happy on the day of the Blessed Birth of the Prophet ﷺ.
