We give a run down of the National Basketball arenas for the 2021-22 season. The NBL is Australia's premier basketball competition. Thanks for watching!
@@jordanthfc8039 except this video is misleading in a way. South East Melbourne play their home games in John Cain Arena. They have played a couple of games at the State Basketball Centre for a few reasons (for example due to effects of the covid pandemic) but it's not like they are there week in week out.
The Photos at 3:43 and 6:00 are mine! I'm not trying to get any Royalties, I'm not a professional photographer, They're just photos I took on my Phone. But I am excited that you used my Photos! I am a Phoenix Member, So I go to pretty much all of their games. And I upload some of the Photos to Wikipedia. I'm just writing this comment to brag, I guess. I guess while I'm here, I should mention that the State Basketball Centre has Multiple Courts, As it is a Public Facility when an Event isn't being held there. Which is why it has 2 Main Buildings, Both Comprising of 3 Basketball Courts. Sorry, I couldn't help notice you didn't mention that. In all seriousness, I love your Videos Mate. And I enjoy learning about Stadiums from all over the world through your channel. Keep Up the Good Work, And I can't wait to see your Next Video.
MyState Bank Arena in Hobart was formerly known as the Derwent Entertainment Centre until the Glenorchy City Council sold the building and the Jackjumpers moved in. It was a Bicentennial building project in vacant land right beside the Elwick Racecourse and was home court to Tasmania's most well known NBL team, the Tassie Devils from 1989 until the franchise was excluded from the NBL and folded after the 1996 season. The place hadn't changed one bit in decades until the Jackjumpers redevelopment. Their previous stadium from 1983-1988 was the Kingborough Sports Centre which was/is a suburban gym hall that seated 1,800 people.
The NBL has turned out a number of good players. Shane Heal Andrew gaze the great Joe Ingles who plays for my Utah jazz now That and have been able to draw a few away from the NBA. It's a good league I like seeing the diversity
Alot of places have different colored seats cause when it's on TV and attendance is small the different colors can make it look fuller. Loving your stadium videos, I'm in the US so it super cool seeing all these. Nice job.
I love your videos, you should make a video on the Southern Conference (SOCON)'s football stadiums, the conference is home to 2 military colleges, fueled rivalries, and not to mention it's among the oldest conferences to still be playing,
The National Basketball League (USA) was the precursor to the NBA…many NBA team trace their origins to that league, like the Hawks, Kings, Sixers, Pistons, and Lakers. The better funded Basketball Association of America (BAA), not to be confused with the American Basketball Association (ABA) of the 1970’s, merged (basically took over) the original NBL. There’s a fun fact. Here’s another fun fact…only three teams started out in the BAA, the Warriors, Knicks, and Celtics.
Great video mate, couple of high school/rec centre quality gyms like the Nissan Arena and the State Basketball Centre. My favourite stadium is also the RAC Arena.
The one good thing I will say for Nissan Arena is that there is literally not a bad seat in the place, even the very back row has a decent view. Also Cairns didn't play preseason at the Snag pit, they actually played their entire 20-21 Season there. It was because the Scheduled refurbishment of of CEC was delayed due to COVID, in particular the unavailability of A/C parts out of Italy.
i'm just glad they fixed up and got a sponsor arena name instead of sticking to the derwent entertainment centre.. sounds and looks more professional. because i was pretty sure cobwebs were building up in that arena since its never used in something interesting. Lol
Was wondering if you were going to be doing a video for the AHL (American Hockey League ). The AHL is the minor-league system for the NHL and most clubs (if not all) Are affiliated with NHL clubs example Providence is affiliated with Boston Bruins Hartford Connecticut is a affiliate with new rock Rangers etc. etc.
