Is the NCAA punishment for the Michigan football Spy-Gate scandal coming soon? Reading the college football tea leaves would suggest something is coming within a couple weeks. However, if the punishment is anything like the slap on the wrist the Wolverines agreed to for Burger-Gate, then this could be a light sentence as well. Of course, former head coach Jim Harbaugh is long gone and we are sure Michigan would like to see this saga wrap up and go away.
GOOD NEWS IOWA!
Meanwhile there is some great news for Iowa Hawkeyes fans. Quarterback Cade McNamara just got the green light to play ball as he is coming off his season ending knee injury from last season. In the meantime, the Hawkeyes landed an insurance policy with Northwestern transfer QB Brendan Sullivan. However, Iowa football coach Kirk Ferentz insists if McNamara is healthy then he will be the starter.

Wisconsin football coach Luke Fickell was talking quarterbacks too. He says he is leaning toward Miami transfer Tyler Van Dyke over Braedyn Locke. We are not so sure! We give our reasons here. Here's a hint: Van Dyke was VERY inconsistent at Miami and Locke showed a lot of poise and talent filling in last year.

In 2019, Jim finished the season with a stellar 9-4 record, had a 1-5 bowl record and was 0-5 vs OH ST. U of M said they were cutting his contract, and Voila! The cheating began. Recruit-gate in 2020, quickly followed by Spy-gate. Not a coincidence, a strategy.

He literally just stated the facts as they are. Without bias its clear its all about nothing but the response from the B1G was all about jealousy and hate. And the stupid thing is the ohio fans are pissed about it but yet mum's the word when Don Brown was the coach anf they knew his signs. But of course they won't say anything because they were winning and winning big but now they are whining and whining big because they're losing. The season is over. A new season is about to start and ohio boast an Allstar team. Yet instead of being optimistic for this season they are still crying about last season. Which is why they have become the laughing stock in SEC Country. The SEC will take Michigan since you crybabies up north can't handle them.

@@Walnut412 really then what are the facts? If the investigation wasn't over and the party that was doing the sign stealing (in an illegal way). So why did the team need to punished before the season was over? They were punished for ALLEGATIONS without due process. That is how our legal system works. So it's funny you brought up opinion when that is the exact reason they punished them during the season. In the court of public opinion which was being spinned by OSU and they're cronies in the media (my opinion... see how that works). Once everything comes out and they have their day in court what comes from that is what it will be. But the problem is no matter what happens unless it's a death sentence and all win vacated the mob won't be happy because of the media (Especially OSU Media because remember every week they hinted to something coming out which means they were the leaders in pushing this narrative that their scoopers alerted people for ahead of EVERY SINGLE NEWS DUMP). Now that's why I have my educated investigative opinion through those FACTS (that are all over youtube... on every single osu based official and unofficial channel). So we can all wait like civilized people for the final verdict and then go from there. But like most butt hurt jeal programs waiting is not an option which is why they keep pushing public opinion because they don't care about the facts nor due process. Which in my opinion when people push that hard to sway public opinion that means their case (and they know it) outside of Conner Stallions is nonexistent. And he has already been fired. And again that's my opinion based on everything I've seen an heard.

Do people not do their own investigations I could do a whole point point presentation on the connections between all Jim Harbaugh’s ex coaches and Connor Stalions. The fact that C. Michigan’s HC coached under Jim at UM. W. Michigan HC coached at Stanford and 49ers. Connor was on their sidelines. SC HC coached w/ Jim too. Dam Jim expected loyalty from his former coaches.. S. Moore coached at C.Michigan too. So there is no way Jim did know.. did he promise these two HC’s the UM HC job. That he would put in a good word for them?? Bo said it best. If you have to cheat to win.. you already lost.

I agree with you Craig - not much to this case and Harbaugh served 2 suspensions last year. It's a "nothing Burger Gate". In any case, the whole scandal came to light BEFORE the crucial games of last year. Michigan still went on to "run the table" and obviously sign stealing was not material in the games against Penn State, Ohio, Alabama and Washington.

If first 4 games are vacated bc they cheated, an 8-4 team wouldnt qualify for CFP. Also, USC had their natty vacated and that wasn’t directly cheating on games as Michigan has done.

I am anxious to hear and read the allegations once released. This podcast is downplaying the events and offers no factual content just opinion. There are more incredible inside sources saying the opposite. Speculation drives the motive, so when this gets officially sent to Michigan the next will ne Mochigans response and the speculation will then shift to possible sanctions and penalties. Will they be harsh or will they be a slap. None of us know, but something will happen.

Believe me, there is a very large contingent of Ohio State fans out there that still believe all of Michigan’s success is tied to this “cheating scandal”. Despite overpowering Alabama and easily handling Washington AFTER we supposedly couldn’t cheat anymore. And these fans believe that if Ohio State wins this year‘s game, it won’t be because Michigan had to replace Harbaugh, several other coaches, and 18 key members of the greatest team in program history - it will be because Jim Harbaugh and his fellow “cheaters” are gone and would also “justify” that the past 3 years of losses were solely due to the sign stealing. If Michigan wins this year in Columbus I can’t imagine the coming to Jesus that will fall upon Buckeye nation.

IMO the only game it could’ve changed was this past year, due to the knowledge learned from the previous couple years, and the fact it was so close. Again, stallions wasn’t on the field, but they could’ve catered their play calling to prior knowledge. Let’s be honest, this is about integrity of the game. If anyone can cheat on the football field then it affects everyone, players, coaches, fans, bettors, etc. This IMO is worse than buying a burger, getting tattoos, etc, and should be punished accordingly. @@DavidWilliams-yd4nh sign stealers are legal IF you can get those signals watching that team from the sidelines during that game. It's illegal to record the sidelines when you're a coach and you aren't on the sidelines with your team stealing the signs during a game.

Unless we are completely exonerated then we cheated. I think this affected recruiting a lot also this year. I live in Tampa and IMG is ten minutes away and yes people still think Michigan cheated down here. So unless this goes away and there is Absolutely NO punishment for it. Well then it’s going to be a problem. Is this why Warde Manual is NOT using NIL money for new recruits? does he know something about a serious penalty coming and doesn’t want to waste the money on kids that will leave. MAYBE?? Don’t say it’s not possible.

Freewheeler - your right - one is injured and may be pushed out by a sophomore running back this year. And the other is a three star OLine guy. IMG is chocked full of 4 and 5 star players. Those 4 and 5 star players are not going to Michigan. I can tell you that, I follow them like a second job. they have a lot more options and don’t have to worry about getting pegged as a cheater. I’m telling you theses kids talk about it and don’t want the BS. The better players I’m talking about. Not injured or three star guys.
