Last Minute Cruise to the Caribbean on the NCL Jade out of Miami! Quick stop at Disney Springs on our drive. It's Cruise Day! Lots to explore on this ship and our adventure begins!
@17:32........In other words, "One Bourbon, One scotch, One Beer" John Lee Hooker and George Thorogood......Luv it! @23:03 That would have been my last night at the casino......well probably not lol Enjoyed this vid, subbed
Lol exactly! We should have took our winnings and left!! But they have a captive audience when you're on a ship. It was great though!! Thanks for the sub!!
You're worse than us now! We have 3 this year! NCL Jade is beautiful! You will love the Breakaway on your next one! We had fun on it! I always lose on those machines! I'd love to win that huge jackpot! Awesome!
The newer NCL ships also have one MDR with a dress code: Manhattan Room. But that is why I never eat there. On vacation, the last thing I want to do is dress up.
Great video, again! Lol. Always a great experience watching your videos. I used to think the Dawn and Gem were soooo big. Then I went on the Breakaway a ton of times and the Escape and when you go back on the Jewel class, they feel so much smaller. But the smaller ships truly gives you the NCL experience. I got hooked on ncl in 2005 on the Dawn and haven’t looked back!
Dancer Quest I’m so glad you did too! You will like the Breakaway too. But remember that was the first Breakaway Class ship. So as they built more, they got better and better. You just sailed the Bliss! If Dan Dan is the CD you will LOVE him. He’s been on Breakaway for 3 years now. I miss having him in NYC
@@nygrasshole Fancy seeing you here, Eric! Haha. You're so right. The Jewel Class is that genuine NCL experience you don't see much of these days. Although I love my big ships, Escape especially, and being on the Breakaway over 20+ times alone, it's nice to always go back to those smaller ships. Hey Eric, I was onboard the Escape during the list 2 weeks ago, what an adventure, but loved every minute! Haven't gotten around to posting my vid yet. Hope you're well.
Robbie O'Malley funny seeing you here too, Robbie! Haha. Yes! Love me some Jewel class for that authentic ncl vibe. But love me some Escape too! LOL. At least you can’t go wrong lol. I saw your sail away for that “list cruise” and I even said “wow! Robbie is onboard”. Obviously you’re ok and I’m sure people like you and I wouldn’t find it too scary but for a first timer I’m sure they were a bit frightened lol. Can’t wait for your post!! Happy to bump into you here lol
Yay! Another cruise. I almost was on the 5 night Jade out of Miami 2 weeks ago but decided to remodel my laundry room instead. How many nights was this cruise?
@Brian Dancer Did you guys get a sail away rate? Or last minute booked cabin with the perks? I was going to book a sail away rate for the first time. The rate on the 5 night sail away rate was just so good.
Hi, I love your vlogs! You are so lucky that you can go on a cruise last minute! We just got 15 inches of snow in the Northeast, but a day off from work! Cruising makes us so happy too! Our next is June, counting down is the only way to keep going to work.
Hey Tracy! Thank you! Definitely not typically what we do, booking like that, we like to plan out, the previous cruise we had booked 2 years in advance :) That is crazy you got 15 inches!!! Hopefully spring will come fast for you, nice to have a day off so you dont have to drive in all that. I used to live in MN so I can totally relate! Before you know it your cruise will be here, hang in there :)
Fun video...Nice job, it looks like a beautiful ship. We will have to give NCL a try some day. We are looking forward to watching the rest of the series.
Loved watching your videos! My 3 daughters, a son-in-law and I will be trying NCL for the first time in August - the Jade 10-nt. Italy and Greek Ilse cruise. NCL is the only main cruiseline I haven't sailed so your videos are very helpful. I can already tell I'm going to love the Spinnaker Lounge and also the row of bars one after another - my kind of ship (we have the Ultimate Drink Package). I also love music, and this ship seems to have multiple venues for listening. What were your final thoughts on the Jade? Any tips for newbies?
That's so exciting!!! Sounds like an amazing cruise itinerary :) we liked the Jade, they have redone a lot of the ship since its older, the pool deck is nice and open surprisingly. I loved the Spinnaker, the 'bar city' with the three bars, the Atrium, and Bliss Lounge which also has live music. The casino looks older with the metal ceiling tiles. The food was awesome, even the buffet I found fresh and yummy. We had an inside room, I missed my balcony it was our first time inside, mostly me being spoiled. The room was perfectly fine and bathroom was roomy enough. I also liked The Pit Stop on 12th to enjoy the pool views and music out there :) I wish there were more chairs on the promenade walkway around the ship. Doors are magnetic so bring something fun to decorate, I bring a whiteboard and ask questions or put checklists to be funny, I recommend getting the app messaging which is $10/person it makes for easier communication when you're not all together. Have an absolutely wonderful vacation!!
Hey nice splurge!!! I've been spoiled being in balconies so often :) also if this is the first NCL ship just know its older but it's awesome, the bigger ones are a different experience and I would highly recommend those also :) happy cruising to you, it's going to be an amazing trip!!!
