I entered that dream giveaway 6 months ago, didn't read the fine print, which Includes: you gotta travel to the giveaway spot, could be anywhere in the country, you gotta be on camera, you gotta watch your email and they notify you by email and you have 3 days to respond, you must insure both cars within 48 hours, you must have the 31 grand or so that it costs in taxes, there's like 59 stipulations and you gotta act fast or they give it away.

They give you the tax money as part of the winnings $48,500.00 in this case. I think everything else is pretty standard for these types of things. Lyle

@@cscorvetteify yeah, but being given tax money doesn't help does it? You'll have to pay tax on that money as well, capital gains tax is 39% ain't it? So 20 grand more tax?

@@odfarmboy well if each car is worth 60 grand, and then lyle says they are giving another 48.5 grand on top of that, thats 168 grand, so youd owe like 31 grand to the governemnt, 17,000 plus 24% of the amount over 95,000, right?

@@SargentandGreenLeaf No, the $48.5K is so that you get the cars without having to pull a dime out of your pocket. The only thing you are responsible for is shipping them home--or grabbing a buddy and driving one or both home. Lyle

Noted. I will follow up with they guy running it and see why it doesn't show a secured link for transactions....I'm certain it is there, but they should make it quite plain which protection they are using. Lyle

When I enter any of these types of contests, I just look at them as donation to the charity. If I did win, I would have to sell them just to be able to pay the taxes. Income tax, sales tax, personal property tax, etc. I can't afford to win 😪
