If you are interested in "different" sequencers the T1 by Torso Electronics also has an interesting, different approach to sequencing.

This is a great channel. Your videos are really informative and aimed at people with some experience and knowledge rather than the absolute beginner which a lot of synth channels (understandably) focus on.

A lovely jam. My NDLR is for about 8 months on my desk and it´s amazing and a source of inspiration. The NDLR is not as "crazy" as SOMA´s Lyra-8 but sometimes NDLR offers surprising results. Currently I'm experimenting with the combination of NDLR and Bloka´s MIDIHUB.

Thanks for the nice feedback! I also started with the midihub combination 😉

early adopter here- I've had a NDLR for nearly five years, but only lately have I tapped into editing the user-motif patterns & using a hw sequencer (cirklon, then deluge more recently) to remotely control the key & degree that it plays in. I can also control the length of the motif patterns so that their riffs are changing to fit the larger arrangement. it can get pretty deep once you promote it away from being a mere ideas machine & incorporate it into a controlled & controllable system with other components. tbh, there's not much I would change- even just adding keyboard control of the degree & chord shape makes a huge difference to how you interact with it. I wish it would process more than one channel of 'through' notes (so I could run a doepfer maq through it!), but I guess that's a hardware limitation.

according to my records, I bought it in 2017 (I was order number 15) & it turned up in january 2019.

Yes, it's really deep, I did not found the time yet to go for the details, unfortunately...

Brilliant jam and beautifully elegant set up. I share your love of NDLR, arpeggiators and this kind of shifting slidy melodic wandering. I use a pair of Key step pros for sequences and arps on 6 channels and hope to integrate a Squarp Pyramid when I get me head round it! Keep up the good stuff please.

Good ! NDLR is an incredible machine, but I like to contribute something touched by us with it! a percussion, a bass, a voice, a keyboard. Youtbe is full of jams and the musicians only play knobs! Come on, take a chance!

Somehow all the synth lovers seem to be located in Germany, you are one in a line of them I subscribed to for your kind way of explaining and demonstrating this cool gear. Thanks and greetings from the Netherlands.

Cool to see it used in a less generative way. Oscillator Sink has a good companion video to this that showcases it more generative side.

How intuitive/easy is the NDLR and how good is it at creating gradually evolving sequences? It seems to be competitively priced though I'm not sure how it compares to other similar devices (which would be what? maybe Squarp Pyramid for instance?).
@PeteMidi
@PeteMidi Год назад
It's possible as you can modulate many of the sequencing parameters

I've got a NDLR and love it. You tried Bram Bos' Rozeta on iOS pete? Or Marcos Kohler's Polyphase? Or Pagefall limited's Autony? All good fun. I'll keep the NDLR though, no matter how good some of these generative sequencers on iOS are.

I was expecting more detail about how you were using the ndlr in the jam, not a sales pitch about buzzy.
@PeteMidi
@PeteMidi 2 года назад
Details are not that nteresting at all, I was mainly switching chords, until I found a progression that worked for me 😉
