Who would've guessed... One of the dumbest implementations of government ever.
@Helfirehydra
@Helfirehydra Месяц назад
It was designed to fail Because they didn’t put any stipulations in the law like I don’t know doing drugs in a public place surrounded by people Because they could’ve considered that disturbing the peace But they literally gave drug addicts a license to smoke wherever they wanted instead of decriminalizing it, so they don’t get arrested because cops are going down, alleys, looking for drug addicts Cause the only reason it was decriminalized to help people get safety supply and has safe injection sites. Everyone basically denied any proposal of a safe injection site because you want to see if injection site until it’s in your backyard and then suddenly you don’t want it. Andon diction services they didn’t bother increasing funding for that Like there’s many reasons it failed And it’s not because of the drug addicts It’s because the liberal government designed to fail Because they made sure it wouldn’t succeed because they could’ve made laws or change things around so if a drug attic those specific things like I don’t know, smoke up in front of a fucking cop Or do it in front of a Starbucks or right in the middle of the street or any way that is obviously disturbing the public That should’ve been written in the law But they literally just a white blanket approach where they’re going to decriminalize everything without a single stipulation and then they wonder why the gym heads and crack addicts come out of the woodwork, and do it wherever they want Maybe because you told them that they could instead of telling them that you can do it wherever you want in public as long as it’s not around people Because if you were a drug addict, actively trying to find a place to do drugs away from people Decriminalization gives you more opportunities to do your drugs But once it gets re-criminalized, drug addict will be forced to be doing them in the shadows again in disgusting crack, houses In the most disgusting places you could ever think of Because they’re not allowed to go behind Walmart and smoke up anymore They’re not allowed to go to the end of a Walmart parking lot and smoke up. They’re not allowed to go into an alley behind the dumpster and smoke up. Because now they have to make an actual effort to hide them selves Because I understand June drugs in the wide-open should not be acceptable And it should’ve been considered disturbing of the peace But because of the liberal government didn’t want it to succeed they made sure to write it that it wouldn’t succeed because now you have hundreds of new attics ready to pay for your addiction services, because the free addiction services are nonexistent Ones that do exist don’t even help The government plan was literally get as many people addicted to drugs as possible make it a legal again and then charge them to get help Because they could’ve increased addiction counselling services, but they didn’t. They could’ve built more safe injection sites, but they couldn’t. Because the public was so misinformed about safe injection sites. Every time they could find a location, the public shut it down because they think it’s a place to score drugs but in reality, it’s a place to do drugs without dying. Doesn’t everybody have that right the right to not die because of their life choices? Because statistics of shown when you decriminalize drugs and give people safe injection sites and addiction services, drug related deaths go down, but they only did one of those three things they just decriminalized. It didn’t give them a safe place to do them and didn’t give them services to talk to. Because sometimes all it takes is group drug meetings, where you have a bunch of drug addicts, talk about the issues together and build a way of recovery together with the assistance of a professional But of course we don’t want drug addicts getting help so we’re not going to invest in creating more services to help them Sing with mental illness we’re not going to help mental illness, so we’re just going to leave it alone not increase more money into it and then, when people turn to drugs were going to lock them up Like right now it might be a good idea to do a complete blanketed band and re-criminalize everything until They can come up with a plan that will actually work Because this decriminalization did not have a plan all they did was decriminalizing said her job is done

Come on everyone. Those people is way too far gone. Stop trying to solve this issue by pretending they're criminals. They are very vulnerable. Most are not there at times....
@Helfirehydra
@Helfirehydra Месяц назад
They are absolutely vulnerable In the decriminalization made them more vulnerable because decriminalization to work properly needs to have safe injection site and increased addiction counselling services, but the government didn’t do that Literally, all they did was decriminalize drugs, and say that the job is done And the few organizations that have a little bit of money to build safe injection sites are always shut down by the local community because the local communities so misinformed about safe injection site, they think it’s a place for a drug addict score free drugs, and it will create a criminal net work in their neighborhood, but in reality, all it does is gift, drug addicts a safe place to do drugs were they won’t die So that means you can go to the park and not see a dead crack at it under the slide And not to mention the fact that safe injection sites every night because they do bring drug addicts around they do have a police officer patrolled the neighbourhood for the night So why would you not want your own personal police officer patrolling your neighborhood? And a place for drug addicts not to do the drugs on your car Or next to your car Because I’m pretty sure nobody wants to wake up going to the car for work and see a dead drug addict slumped over against their car Because it seems like the people who are against safe injection sites are the least compassionate people that want drug addicts to die in front of them so they can say all drug addicts are bad when in reality it’s only like 5% of drug addicts are actually hard-core career criminals. Most of them have what does fallen on hard times, and break the laws to feel their habits. There’s only a few people that do drugs, and our career criminals, but for some reason they’ve been labelled as complete criminals And in my opinion, right now, the best thing would be to re-criminalize the drugs, but for the reason to implement a better system that decriminalize it, but with stipulations, where, using it in public in front of people in close to people in close proximity to people and in a place where you’re disturbing people it should be considered disturbing the peace and if you get multiple arrest of disturbing the peace, you get a drug conviction Or we can continue arresting drug addicts, but instead of putting it as a drug conviction on their permanent record, you hide that you just make it a misdemeanour conviction, because when the drug attic is arrested for doing drugs, that is guaranteed never to have a job in the future Because 99% of businesses would refuse to hire you simply because you have a prior drug crime Because drug crimes and drug dealing are treated equally for some fucking reason when employers are hiring people because they don’t want to hire a drug dealer, which is understandable, but they don’t want to hire a drug addict who has recovered And has gone to jail And got clean, because who cares right That is the whole mentality of people who don’t do drugs is who cares about them and that is exactly why they’re doing drugs in public because they’re literally screaming for help And what are these people do for help? They literally told him get a job you lazy bum clean up your shit stop doing drugs. But the same people don’t donate to safe injection sites and they don’t donate to addiction services charities And they don’t donate any drug addiction charities They would rather donate all the money to some company that uses poor people in Africa, to make money Like world vision, or any of those other charities that claim to be a non-for profit went only 2% of their donations make it to making a difference Or even worse, these people who were literally shame drug addicts on the streets instead of donating to some sort of drug addiction charity they will donate to a for-profit charity that has more than enough money It’s not about helping people it’s about getting the maximum tax write off and if you donate to addiction-based charities, you don’t get a big tax write off But if you donate to a for-profit charity, you get a big tax write off
@Helfirehydra
@Helfirehydra Месяц назад
They made sure decriminalization failed by not making any stipulations in the law. They literally just said drugs are legal yo. They didn’t say anything about disturbing the peace, or any things that would be bothering of the public Because I believe it’s a drug attic, should have the freedom to go out and do drugs in public without being arrested because somebody recorded them But they do not have the right to go out and do drugs in a Walmart parking lot at the front door or in a Starbucks patio We’re right on the curb of the main street If you are in clear view of people, and you are disturbing the peace, you should be arrested for doing drugs in public Because the whole reason to the gym criminalization was supposed to stop drug addict from doing drugs in dangerous places, like behind, dirty, dumpsters and in crack houses, and give them the opportunity to do them at the end of the parking lot or an empty abandon public park Because I know we don’t like seeing people do drugs, but them doing it out in public. Give them a better chance at living for doing them, and not overdosing. Because if you don’t want a safe injection site, they should be allowed to do it in the park with your children play Because you didn’t need a safe injection site so you deal with the consequences you said you don’t want a place for them to be so that means they have to do them somewhere else like a children’s park Or maybe we need to start teaching people the truth about safe injection sites that they actually help drug addicts the best Statistically proven But who cares about statistics, right Where is going to decriminalize drugs without any stipulations in the law or services and we’re going to blame the drug addicts for doing drugs everywhere when we literally didn’t give them any safe places to do them because all they did it say well you don’t need to do your drugs in your dirty crackhouse anymore. You can go to the park and do them in front of children if you want. When in reality it should’ve been you want to do your drugs in public you can but just don’t do them in front of people or we will charge you with disturbing of the peace

anyone has a better solution?
@Helfirehydra
@Helfirehydra Месяц назад
I have a better solution that would’ve worked but the government didn’t bother implementing it. All they did is decriminalizing said we’re done we don’t need to do anything else. You decriminalize drugs, and consider doing drugs in public a disturbing of the peace, and give it a three strike rule. If you are arrested for disturbing the peace for drug related crimes multiple times in a year, you will be arrested for drug use in a public place. And safe injection sites with better funding so you can actually build them Better informing the public of safe injection sites Investing more money into addiction counselling services And if you really want to go above and beyond provide the drugs, and use the profits for those drugs, to be reintroduced into the system to help more people Because I would rather there be a government agency that sells drugs to known drug addicts, like you have to do a blood test to prove that you’ve already done drugs So people can’t just go there for free drugs and they won’t be free. They will cost a little less than street drugs, but they will be guaranteed to be safe to use as safe as drugs can be because it’s still drugs And if you really want to take drug crime, seriously and do something about it and reduce drug issues, take dealing drugs more seriously because there are some people who have been arrested for doing drugs and sentenced to jail longer for someone who was selling drugs simply because the person who is selling drugs, had the money to pay for a good lawyer the person who was doing drugs, didn’t have the money for a good lawyer Maybe instead of locking up drug dealers for like a month or two because they have a good lawyer Maybe we should take drug crimes seriously - not allow drug addicts to use their drug money to pay for an expensive lawyer

I don’t think they should do a complete U-turn. I think they should re-assess the law and make stipulations that say doing in public places is considered disturbing of the peace and you can be arrested for drug crimes in public disturbing the peace so if you’re away from everybody doing it in some corner of the parking lot. Perfectly fine But if you’re doing it right next to the entrance to Walmart, you should be arrested
