Savior Ne, joined the military, fast forward... Still fold my undies and socks the same and shoelaces are always laced per regulation. Checkmate. (glances in the sink full of dirty dishes)
The first thing in the morning I will do when I get up is make my bed nice and neat. My mother was a nurse so she taught me hospital corners. However on the way to the bathroom I will inevitably step over items scattered across the floor 😬
@@imiguifurr i don't, i always think it takes out the suprises of life or too much control, no spontaneity, no fun, but for getting good grades or advancing in your job not bad.
@@wissen9000 I have all the fun I need in my head or within books... I think being classy, elegant or delicate gives people an air of power and autonomy as well as a feeling of being intangible... That I aspire to
@@wissen9000 also, I think more than fun I see life as deeply inspiring and nature as calming and worthy of admiration as well... My goal of being "intangible" is in part becoming that which I admire from nature, it's elegance and intricate beauty but also how easygoing and peaceful it often is... A gluttonous or lustful approach to life imo leads to never feeling satiated or satisfied... Never being in the present and in a contemplative state of mind, one in which you are actually grateful for what you have in the moment and in which everything around you makes sense without the need for external input

Oh and hey Shan and Dave! Love your videos. So if I ever visit your house, and I leave a little cutout of a bunny rabbit in your vegetable drawer, or something similar, please understand that it's just my little way of resisting the temptation to rearrange your fridge into a glorious metaphor for emergent chaos and the defeat of order. Not to worry. It'll just be a little cutout bunny rabbit. I can usually stop at that.
Lol yes totally. I was like wtf will all those steps getting groceries. I’m an ENFP and I seriously need to be more organized but I am don’t want to be that organized with my groceries. It’s not that important to me... yes I waste food and stuff goes bad but that’s way to much effort.
With every second they were explainig this graphic - i felt more and more cringe... No, you don't do this! This is a waste of time! Food is the last thing you must be concerned about in 21th century. You can order online whatever, no need to organize anything! Just mix things up and order them randomly so you never bored from the same food every time. Simple as that. Just don't repeat the orders, or you'll get used to the same food very quickly and lose your appetite
Much of it strikes me as "Se humor," which I don't particularly get. But I think sometimes they might be trying to include what they _perceive_ to be Ne style random humor... doesn't quite hit the mark with me. But it makes me wonder if this is how people feel when they don't get my jokes; they probably just think I'm weird.
@@heatherbryant4197 Haha, totally. (Although, tbh, it just makes it even funnier to me when people don't get it...) I get what you're saying about non-Ne trying to portray Ne. It doesn't quite work the way they think it does. And you can clearly see when they feature an Ne user in a video, that they're both like, "Whaaaaat is going on right now..." But I don't hold that against them, I think it's understandable that a non-Ne can't put their finger on Ne humour, because the whole definition of Ne is that you have no idea what's next, so you can't predict what any Ne user will find funny ever.
I love Si. It’s beautiful. It’s how we get shit done. People think that respecting Si is trivial but it’s actually foundational. People want to accomplish amazing things in their lives but they haven’t even mastered the basics yet.
As an Ne, I love to do this, but it's forcing myself. It feels great when I can motivate myself to do it, but inevitably it seems when living with someone else who's not a strong Si either, things seem to very quickly return to disarray, even in the presence of ordering systems.
So the other day I (ENFP) was walking through a field with my friend (ESFP) we were walking in silence and I was thinking about how Jung personality typing was tied to the occult & tarot cards, he then turns around to me to tell me how he noticed that the slope of the tractor tires had caused a puddle in the field. it was just amusing the difference in what we both think about. I was so confused because I was being brought out of this abstract thought tunnel and actually had to pay attention to what’s around me.
@@subliminalmuse that is true. if she zoë is enfp she very well could have been connecting things in her own way through ne and thus i have some intrigue to hear what her own connections were that she made. i make all these connections all the time too and i wanna know what she sees.
Best Ne holiday: lead Ne goes on a holiday road trip during COVID summer, finds out every restaurant only takes bookings. Ne dom realizes he has to book everything. Ne dom spends the beginning of every destination phoning every available place/activity in the vicinity. Ne hates life.
elStusso this is why i think i’m an Fi-Si jumper, i have zero problems with - and can even enjoy - the planning aspect of a trip. in fact, i used to take it to extremes (down to exact bus times, for example) but i’m more chill and spontaneous nowadays (well, at least outside a pandemic). freedom within structure is my thing, i don’t feel safe if the structure isn’t there first.
Everyone be talking about how hard it is improve Si, when all you have to do is inside your house already. Bruhh Improving Ne is million times harder than this, that's why no body on the Internet talks about it. We sensors struggle too
Improving Ne is easy. It sucks to follow through with it, but those details belong to Si, not Ne. You can watch Michael Keaton's character make an Ne-fueled personal breakthrough right here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rcBzXxW-aj4.htmlm40s Or you can watch Mouth do it right here (and don't tell me it's Fi, 'cause Mouth has no idea wtf he's talking about or what he wants, and even tries to order a bottle of fettuccine): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ROPv2LGTVY4.htmlm
@Heart of Steel Browsing or surfing the internet is how NE works naturally. Try this: look in the sidebar (upnext) and randomly click on a video and watch it, then jump to another video in the sidebar and keep doing this randomly. That the videos should be random, and not steered, is actually more important for developing it-- because you'll get more out if it if you're watching disparate topics one after another than if you're watching 10 videos all talking about the same thing but in different ways. Eventually as you get better with it, you can steer it to something specific (as a specific, throwaway example - suppose you want to explore the relationship between human movement - music theory - and shoe design). NE is just about finding connections in the enviornment. In order to "activate" it - you have to take in a lot of new concepts. Sometimes the connections between concepts happen unconciously without much prompting, but you can absolutely prompt it out of you by asking how what you just watched/learned/experienced relates with what you're currently watching/learning/experiencing-- or how does what you just explored relate with whatever problem/idea you want to solve. Doing this over time is going to create a web of connected concepts between disparate fields - this is how you get designers who create brand new, innovative products in one field just by observing something mundane/normal in a completely different field and combining ideas together in new ways. If you're reading an article or book and as you are reading it - stop at every outside reference the article mentions and bring up a new tab and read that new subject/wiki entry. If you're watching tv - flip between 3-10 different channels. Or on a Sunday, visit three different houses of worship from different religions. Or throw a dart on a map and go out and explore your city/state WITHOUT anything but essentials (maybe cellphone + wallet + ID that's it) and go about your entire day exploring each nook and cranny and random thing of your fancy and watch as you begin to improvise (it begins raining and you use a bag as an umbrella, you take out your shoelaces and use it to tie up your hair). Or, try hobby-classes-- anything that prompts creativity, or anything such as improv or poetry or survival bunker tours. Something you've never done before, do that. If you think of SI as looking at the minutiae of how one (thing) is made from ground up, in chronological, order fashion in a concrete, sensory way. NE is more - zoom as far out as you can - humanity/universe - and looking at the abstract connections between everything that ties it all together.
I'm an ENTP from a background full of SiTe types. Ended up back there for 6 months thanks to the, er, global epidemiological incident. Really drove home how my Ne coping strategies for Si clash with their Si coping strategies for Ne. For me, if it matters (is interesting) I Ne Engage with it, and if it doesn't but still has to be done (eg breakfast) I automate it. I'll have the same thing every day for breakfast, aaaabsolutely no problem - just let me read about battleship design or something whilst I'm eating it! Life admin is an endless struggle, needs to wait until it accumulates a pile big enough to become an interesting problem to solve, but be solved quickly enough to not become exhaustingly stressful... For them, if it matters it *must be controlled* and if it doesn't then they'll Ne play with it. The shopping list gets frigged around with every single week, just because. Serves no purpose, other than to exercise the brain a little bit on being adaptable on things that won't be a catastrophe if they're adapted a bit wrong... Then the life admin just seems to never stop. Like, are they doing this for fun?? And nobody ever wants to talk to me about battleships... :(
This is a super apt, en pointe description of Ne dom in an Si world. There's so much over exercising of routine and agonizing over minutia. I've learned over the years to go minimal on things I don't want to deal with too, like breakfast. I'm sure the best way is in-between our extremes.
I totally get you. And yes SJs seem to exercise Ne in very inconsequential ways, I'm just like what's the point? Besides yeah, what you said, exercising their brains a little. It's frustrating. I've also tried streamlining the repetitive things in life like meals, clothes, etc. There is a simple joy in doing Si stuff tho, it's just hard
Same for me. I cant remember what ive eaten in the past so at the grocery store I buy the same handful of items and make the same meals every day. It almost looks like an Si tradition but its pure cope
Depends on which part of Te you want to work on? I'm still not 100% sure if my Te is savior or demon but I had to do work to get over executive dysfunction so I've got advice linked to that. If it is the "I need to Do The Things" execution part of Te, break down the things you want to do into baby steps and aim to make slow progress on those steps. Surprisingly making the bed every morning really helped me. Best advice I can think of on problem solving part is "you are the only one who can solve this problem. You are responsible for is" which makes you take ownership but be prepared, can also add anxiety.
As an Ne dom i have been enjoying and working on my Si this year and its been awesome and actually fun. Never thought it would but it actually works if you give yourself grace and just do it. I used to always not start unless i had the perfect Si system but its better to start small/temporary and correct as you go
4:51 -- I've been taking my (MM-Fi/Si-SB/P(C)) wife for granted. Her Si is so natural and obvious that it seems completely effortless. Hilarious to see all the overkill systems y'all build when there's no natural Si available
I still have recurring dreams about my university schedule and going to class without my pencils or any books whatsoever or not knowing what or where the class even is.. ugh nightmares.
I've never really had any issues with this. If someone needs something, I can reach my hand in the chaos and hand them exactly what they needed. I thank my visual memory for this. I am so good that my ex husband who is an INFP would not even look for his things but just ask me and voila.....lol!!!!
😂😂😂 the outro was so damn funny dammit. Especially when the song kicked it. And ohh my god, that fridge system is so satisfying to watch! I'm unsure if I'm lead Si or Ne sometimes, because I've had my love-hate relationships with both of those over time. Si is not fun, it's satisfying to do things that way, but fun? Not really. Imagine colouring within the lines in a drawing book, ensuring all your things are in the right place all the time. It's exhausting, but the end product is much better. You have an organised room and the drawing looks darn good because the colours were filled just right. Si is about enjoying the process because you know the end product will be good, even though the process itself will suck big time.
@@user-xk9cr3mu3k I'm no psychologist, but as a parent Te user [INTJ], I suspect demon Te is linked to confidence. So for an INFP, the quickest way to get some of that; would be to flip Fi [hero] to Fe. Behave more like ENFP around others. I mean; extravert something you're strong in and feel comfortable with. I have Ti critic, so it's interesting to me, than in private I can be VERY critical. Yet in person, what I say is far less severe; Te. Like Fe, it's conveying to the tribe a more...salable version of your inner thoughts and feelings. Take an editor to Fi and Ti, and you have Fe and Te, respectively. The ENFPs I know, don't lack confidence; yet they have all the same functions-just shifted by one spot, i.e Ne, Fi, Te, Si instead of Fi, Ne, Si, Te. Running with Ne would be another way to do this. I mean, whenever I'm in Ne [the hero function of my ID]; I'm totally not conscious when I do so. I wonder if there's something to that, too. To be SELF-conscious, is also to be conscious. Impossible to be self-conscious, if you're unconsciously doing something [Ne/Ni] or are in the moment [Fe/Te]. I would be very self-conscious if I combined Ni, Ti and Fi i.e doubled up on the introverted functions. Which again, brings me back to confidence. Confidence, is just a trick of the mind-it's not "real". I.e, it's possible to have a eureka moment; and suddenly become a much more confident person at-a-stroke. I've seen it happen. INtuition, is also meant to be the most recently evolved part of the human brain. In other words, I've never met a high N user, who isn't also good at Ti, because both are frontal lobe activities. So it's just a matter of editing, and extraverting that. But like I say, baby steps. I would build quick confidence first by extraverting Fi, then when I realise how successful that is [as it will surely draw people to you, and it will be easy for you to do as well]; then focus on clarifying thoughts [Ti], then finally editing them for an audience [Te].
@@rocketassistedgoat1079 you have a point. Te inferior could be in a way associated with confidence and it is so but it's more external when it comes to achevemen't I'd say. All that Te is about is status and having it inferior that's what infps want to acheve things especially when it comes to academics and studies just to be seen as great when it comes to that. It doesn't matter if they're actually good. The focus is put on developing estj subcontious with Te hero. A lot of Infps surprisingly don't struggle with being social or atleast their type is not by nature detatached from social norms like types with Fe trickster. Fe inferior and demon are also detached but in different ways. All of that is cuz infps are affeliative so they're more in tune with what is wanted and they just want things to be socially accepted by their Fe nemissis I guess. Where as if you are an intj you are tripple pragmatic. Infps and enfps are pretty similar with just few differences tho. I was wondering how to develop Te when it comes to strategising, being direct and objective, learning quick, understanding how systems work, productivity, work and similar. However just a few days ago tho I found out I might not be an infp cuz I'm pragmatic so I could either be one of the XNTX or XSXP types. However I really doubt I have Te as a hero or a parent function, maybe it isn't in my ego at all but it still needs to be developed. I can be wrong ofc. I'm always glad and willing to listen to Te parent, so thank you for your comment. But yeah I still need to find out my actual type cuz I'm probably mistyped. Do you by any chance have a clue about which type I might be or you noticed any kind of trait that could indicate my personality type just based on this?
@@user-xk9cr3mu3k Honestly, it's hard for me to say anything, unless you know your type. It's interesting to me that you say Te is status. I think it's just having confidence in your thoughts, and that they'd be respected by others. I've never been able to suffer fools, to me a fool: is someone who's opinionated about what they know very little about. It's easy to not be one: just talk about what interests you (i.e you will know something about it) to someone you think might be interested. I have Fe trickster, as you say: so anyone with stronger Fe than me (basically anyone), will be more aware/care more about social norms. Maybe that helps me have a "not give a shit" attitude, that contributes to confidence-I don't know. But I know my audience-which is where editing Ti comes in. So Te's not being a fool (easy), conveying information (Ti) to the tribe in a way that's very similar to Fe, but also isn't held back by Fe. Confidence also comes with competence...just know what you're talking about. Soon, you will have a reputation for knowing what you're talking about, and (mostly) not offending anyone-as you know your audience and it's edited: there's that Te status you mentioned. Edit. I think I can narrow your type down to one of five: INFP, ISFP, INTP, ISTP or INFJ. I'm assuming you're an introvert and are strong in N (you should, like all iNtuitives, know that concretely), plus you say Te isn't a demon but is also in the child or aspirational slot. INTP and INFP I find very similar. Confidence, as it's also related to competence also comes with age: as an inexperienced INFP might seem to lack confidence as regards sharing ideas compared to an INTP. Could you be ISFP? Again, people who are high N just KNOW they are, in much the same way that I can tell if someone has N in the inferior spot: because they lack that "quirkiness" factor, which tells me we won't get on. Only thirty percent, are strong N users: so we can always spot others like us.
I guess I just don't understand why you need to label everything in the fridge. How do you not know what is in the containers? just eat one meal at a time and finish the leftovers before cooking something new. Same with the pantry, why are you buying so much food that labeling is required to feel "organized"? Idk, it just seems like a lot of wasted time organizing something that is going to be consumed anyway in a day or two...
I agree. What is the point? You can easily just organize them in a large cabinet without compartments and labels. Shouldn't be that hard to find what you need. But I guess that that's me projecting bc I do find it hard whereas it would come easily to other people.
Idk it makes a lot of sense to me. As an INTJ, I like to build systems that work every single time and that I don't have to spend a single energy thinking about it ever again. I like spending more time on creating a system (organizing closet, pantry, shelves, even my schedules) initially that will continue to work in the future. For example, I don't like having to go grocery shopping every day or everytime I'm missing an ingredient or to even look for it in the store, so I'd rather plan my meals by weeks, bulk buy everything I need in one day of the week/month and put them in identical (neat-looking, efficient) containers, categorize them and label them (even arrange their positions to make the most out of my space). Ik some people may find it tedious but it works for me 🤷🏻 Another example, my personal care products are categorized and organized in rows, positioned from tall to short & from least used to frequently used that my vanity never gets cluttered. Another example, my clothes are hanged and placed according to its type & material using different colored hangers, baskets etc it remains exactly the same as it was when I first organized them. It doesn't take much time or energy to organize like this (my brain just does it automatically even if I'm not consciously trying to) and it does save a lot of time. 🤷🏻🤷🏻🤷🏻
I think the point of that was that Dave once used bleach instead of rubbing alcohol, cause the bottle wasn't labelled (and I assume this happened with many other things), so they label everything now. 😂
How can someone not tell alcohol from bleach when the moment u open the cap u can smell it right away. U dont even need to put ir nose close to the cap
Lmao "Start with the thing that pisses you off the most" For me, that was my papers. For years, I just had a shit-stack of all of my papers in a big drawer next to my desk, and of course every time I had to fish out some document I needed, it would always be a big ordeal and I'd have to sit there for 2 hours sorting through all the junk, until one day, I just got so sick of it that I angrily drove to Walmart, bought a printer/scanner and a document organizer, drove home, and spent hours just getting rid of everything I don't need, scanning every important document to make a digital copy, and sorted all of it into categories. So much paper-related stress has been lifted from my shoulders, seriously.
Your fridge and food replenishment system is organized exactly like my ENTJ father's minus the kitchen laptop. He's big on spreadsheets for everything else, but just not for the grocery just yet. Stuck in the ole notepad and pen ways. I may have to get him a kitchen laptop, and see what happens. 😂
i’m quite possibly an Fi-Si jumper and i have plenty of systems that work for me but they are very personalised and would probably not be obvious/seem a bit batshit to many. woe betide anyone who manages to mess them up, though, i’d be totally lost in the woods without them - one of the reasons why i prefer to live alone. organised chaos is my thing. when i’m staying at someone else’s place, though, i am totally chill with their chaos - because it’s not mine to own. that said, i usually manage to organise it a bit for them anyhow, it’s in my nature 😆 i also notice that i’m very ”contained” wherever i go because part of my system is to keep all my stuff together so i don’t forget anything/leave it behind. also, i don’t like it when people spread all their stuff out everywhere at my place so i try to respect my host. some people spread their shit literally everywhere, drives me a bit nuts tbh. that said, the organisation in this video is er... next level. i could never be bothered to do all that, way too lazy. but whatever works for you guys 😆
actually, i’m not too lazy - i just don’t actually *need* that kind of rigid and precis system because my own Si system functions well enough for me. and mostly it’s in my head, so i don’t need to have so many physical ”clues” around.
Well.. as an entp (I think), even the thought of organizing things this much.. well, actually even watching this was painful. I'm okay with looking for the scissors 😄 or if I don't find them, there are knives somewhere 🤣. It seems too much energy on things, when I still can get by without it. Obviously I should improve in this.. and would love to see at least one female entp 😄
As as ENFP I agree on the pain it caused me to see that amount of order. I do have some kind of order but it's not that detailed. I know where I put a group of things. I generally don't have issues finding things.
@@alexandrarebelheartyeah I can relate to this! I’m typed N/Fi sleep first and honestly if I don’t see the value in it, I’m not gonna waste my precious energy doing it 😂 I think if I knew it was valuable, that wouldn’t be an issue. As an ENFP you probably have the same thought right?
Really?? I think it makes it more fun without the stress of looking for what you need wasting twice as much time as you need to actually do the cooking ~ENFP
I'm an INTJ and I treasure my Fi and Se. Also, ISTJs can have a silly and sometimes gonzo sense of humor. Probably when they let their id/shadow come out.
The end bit of this video had me in tears laughing. Thank you for this public service. It distracted me from facing any Si reality so the chaos can continue on for another day. 😁
working in kitchens as a chef taught me how to organise the sensory, that's because an organised kitchen is an efficient kitchen and you learn this by a concept called "mise en place"
Ha, I got close on Snowden! :D I recently started watching his appearance on JRE, tried to type him while at it. These are my notes: "Saviour Thinking? Masculine Thinking? Ti? Saviour Sensing or Masculine Sensing? Leaves no gaps, always easy to follow. Double Decider? Movable with self and tribe. F-De Self above Tribe? M-D-Di? M-Di? F-D-Fe? Feminine Sensory or Demon Sensory? No disrespect towards intuition. Good memory, but he's also gone over these details a thousand times. Demon Blast? FF Blast? Blast last perhaps? efs3QRr8LWw?t=4623 Justifies intuition by sensory. Single Observer? M-D-Ne or F-S-Ne? Saviour Consume? Saviour Oe? FF-Sx/Ti? MF-Ne/Ti? (Kinda looks like some people I've typed FF-Si/Fe-BP/C. (not relevant!!))" I think the visual typing bias threw me off bad. I wanted to find Si cause he looks like ISFJs I know.
The way they try to incorporate Si ‘excessively(?)' feels a little bit uncomfortable hahaha like do they really need to put on the labels if they already group the same thing to one place on the shelf? But it seems like they are used to being this systematic so that is fine too
I find labels to be (if not useful) pretty fun, convenient and nice to look at... It feels really nice to put eggs in a space specifically reserved for eggs labelled "eggs" Like it just makes sense
Nice to look at? Makes me feel like I'm in kindergarten where everything is labeled in two languages like, bruh I know those are eggs, I can see them. I love putting them in order of when to use them though.
I was also looking for the scissors last night for the nth time. The crack head cleaning spree when you lose some shit only to have it in disarray again
I hate that... To clean everything only to have it disorganized by the next day... It was awful... Now I use systems to help me keep everything neatly most of the time and the amount of energy needed to clean everything again is almost minimal... It allows me to spend that energy working on my creative projects
Te/Si: What if you replaced the white board with a checklist you could tick off? I guess that would be an extra item to deal with... Check list drawn on the white board.
My grocery list is everything I usually buy. I occasionally add a lesser bought item. When I'm at the store, I look at the list, which is in order more or less of where items are in the store, and I remember which items I need to buy again. INTP. I want to do little as often as possible. Same list every time saved on phone. Occasional item to add. My memory is good enough to know while in the store what I need. And I like using my memory while in the store. Makes shopping fun. If I follow a list sans thinking and gambling on if I can remember what's needed, then I'm so bored and feel dumb
I totally need to figure out my Si. I figured out a lot, but definitely need to dive deeper. I also got the book Deep Work currently on Chapter 1 so hopefully that will make me more productive.
I’m kinda wondering if they have any women typed as ENFPs because I keep seeing men but it would be nice to have other examples. Edit: Just any female lead Ne’s in general.
@@dbnd2240 WE FOUND ONE, cherish her always lol 🤪 btw what's your type and do you know any other lead NEs? I was one of 3 enfp guys in my friend group when I first learned of personality types and I know one entp guy. Other than that, I don't know of any lead Ne people who have typed themselves
I’m an Ne dom and ur system is killing me. Why google docs then order?Just add things to your cart as u see them on the board then check out later SO MANY STEPS And Ur having to look everytime for the same things u order? “It’s just like last time” I feel is si.
aop Thomas Aylott...I can’t tell if this is Si or what but since everything is always in the same place in my kitchen I do a scan, make a list, and go all at once every other week.
You laugh but I'm seriously taking notes because this is such a huge pain in the ass with my family. Every time someone make a groceries list, everyone takes for granted on the stuff that we really need can either make or ruin your day.
If you think of SI as looking at the minutiae of how one (thing) is made from the ground up, in chronological order in a concrete, sensory way. NE is more - zoom as far out as you can - humanity/universe - and looking at the abstract connections between everything that ties it all together (timeless). The reason "chaos" is not a problem to NPs is because to them, it *is* ordered in the same way a spiderweb is a kind of order, just not sequentially. It depends on how you look at it. An NP can look into that chaos and find an order there, adjust it, manipulate it. It's just about perceiving it and finding the connections in the enviornment. For an SI to develop NE, If you're reading an article or book and as you are reading it - stop at every outside reference the article mentions and bring up a new tab and read that new subject/wiki entry. if you're browsing/surfing the internet, the videos/topics you look at should be random and from disparate places with seemingly nothing to do with one another. YOU have to be the one to create that connection. An MBTI video + kittens and raccoons = Do animals have cognitive functions? (Just an example of how you can connect things with NE - find two things - assume they're related, then start asking WHAT IFS, then explore that avenue further and see what happens) . The SI should just do something completely out of their wheelhouse they've never done before, do that, and see how that thing relates to cooking or knitting or whatever it is they're familiar with.
I am in love with this! I wish I can do this for our family fridge but everyone is gonna mess it up in less than an hour. I used to clean out my mother's makeup drawer and by the time I left she would grab 1 thing and go right back to her messy set up. Then proceededs to call herself organized!!! She might be Ne dom but who knows... 🙄 Anyways I'll start with my planner set up and notes. Perfect to actually Si. Si sucks even for Si doms
Seth Green had this fantastic lesson on how his being unable to remember where the scissors was kept almost cost him his marriage because it sent a subconscious signal to his wife that he would not be able to pull his weight if the Zombie apocalypse happened.
Lol i arranged the whiteboard thing here for our groceries too. I rearrange the items on the board to be in order of the quickest route to take to grab everything in the store and take a pic of the list a couple nights before I know we’re going grocery shopping and then When it’s a day off or after work the day before my day off head out or straight to the store after work to get everything purchased. When there, i section the groceries that are for us vs the roomies while shopping and then bag them and store them in the car separately too. I bring my groceries in and have the roomies kids get the rest and put those away in a similar fashion to what you have in your closet except without the boxes lol - mines sorted Pastas or boxed foods- in their respective sides on the shelf. Fruit, Vegas, beans/chilies, soups, spaghetti sauces etc among other sorted sections of food ie cheese, bread, meats, yogurts, condiments w.e Pretty much exact system to yours except we don’t have order online and pick up available since we’re in a smaller town. 😂
Your whiteboard grocery list made me appreciate how my Si savior parents making my Si demon kids live a living hell paid off in my twenties. If I see something missing in the fridge I have that grocery list downloaded to my brain. I don´t need any tools I´ll get that shit at the store the next day. Still your fridge discussion killed me, so I guess Si still breaks my brain :(
ENTP Pro tip . Skip the 6 point grocery process. Get Google keep or a similar note taking app with tabs/categories. And create a 'shopping list tab'. Everyone has a phone on them at all times. Bypass the whiteboard and the laptop
Who do you all recommend for annoying INFJs to watch? Frank James has done a great job pulling himself out and he seems to lean heavy on his Ti. I am realizing that I have spent my entire life hopping between Ni-Fe and all my other functions are completely atrophied. Love the grocery discussion, very helpful.
0:49 that kinda sounds like flipping the darkness upside down and turning demon fucntions into savior and savior functions into demon, probably not gonna happen in your lifetime ofcourse, but learning to love the demon functions just like your saviors sounds like a less toxic approach.
As an ESFJ who entered the Seminary for 5 years, my Si loved the order and structure of the schedule and what to do in the Sacristy of the Church. My Fe on the other hand suffered because most of my Seminarian comrades were highly introverted. So my extroversion and Fe suffered...
I have system for ordering food. During week I write down my list in app, then on Thursday or Friday I order it online; people deliver it to me and on Saturday or Sunday I prepare meals for several days in advance. I hate chaos. But this system and other systems I have I developed to run my life more smoothly because it looked as chaos before it; often on Mondays I didn’t know what I want to eat nor I wanted to cook so yeah, systems bring solutions. I wasn’t born with good Si, I developed it with time out of need. MY NEXT SYSTEM? For dishes! I absolutely hate them.
I remember watching this video a couple years ago, I think before I even got typed as 2x lead mNe and I definitely was like "oh. I already got that in the bag. ez pz." LMAO it's been a 2+ year JOURNEY since getting typed
When the grocery graphic fails because Shipt failed me *one time* and now I'm fairly sure it's more efficient to do it myself. Also, I didn't think I was Ne. Uh oh.
Aux Ne here. The most annoying thing for me was digital clutter, I had 1TB of concept arts, videos, music, books, etc. It was a weekend activity to sort and seperate every image, audio, PDF file, etc into varrying folders. And then the hard drive got corrupted, and I was dumb enough to never make a backup. I'm still not over it.
slowly pattern formation. Fire&EMS training template mirrors military we for the most part do things in 3’s and order of operation and location of si important. I do this without thinking but at home. Let’s say I’m getting anxiety just thinking about what I need to do. I everything is clean trash is out 2 times a day now I have containers but I can’t find anything. This darn shutdown has prompted me to buy 1 extra. I prefer to pickup what I need the day I ran out or on my weekly shopping day. Now I have like crap literally everywhere. I’m starting in my own nightmare. I don’t want to see or organize all this stuff. I cannot even trick myself into fixing this situation. I’m literally procrastinating right now trying putting like thing in containers. Aha moment Im probably going to hell for Te thinking I need to get married again so my husband can be responsible for this kind of stuff. my hero “Te’s” strategic planning in progress. I’m also aware that my Te thinking probably has Fi feeling bound and gagged in my occipital region because the idea of falling in love with said husband is missing from the plan.
Intj. I one upped this. I took the time food rots and the cycles I need a certain amount. Then make plans to buy either automatically over amazon or on „buy day“
This cracks me up. LOL And you say Ni is controlling. I like my thoughts organized and being able to find things, but fuck me!! This is definitely Si on crack.
Going on a giant minimisation kick helped me. My place is like a Japanese house.... Actually, looking around again... The few things I have are a little messy still. Hm.
I use alexa voice commands and I tell her "add eggs to groceries"...and she maintains my lists which I can access from my phone to order from Walmart or Aldi or If I walk into the store.... it saves me logging in and typing time!!!! Or worse, Losing paper lists ...
3:49 Reason 1 that we never shop online, even under current circumstances. My parents are Si and Se dominant, while I'm Si child (as INTP). They are very old school and sensory in the sense that they have to see and compare everything in person. They don't trust me buying shoes and clothes that actually fit me, let alone them.
