Soooooo you hear sirens and air horns blaring and you finally scoot across when you realize you are about to get clipped by the fire truck....... that's a copy.
@@pullovr as emergency vehicle operators we have a higher standard which we need to uphold, he was going around that corner WAY too fast and created unnecessary risk.
Even though it’s an emergency vehicle emergency vehicle operators must drive with due regard for the safety of The citizens around them meaning they can’t put the public in danger when they’re responding.
I think you guys should be more awareness. If you hear siren its mean something bad is happening so make way if you see firetruck or ambulance. Not just walking so chill like that.
Watch again. He wasn’t even in the intersection until it has the pedestrian cross sign 😂 but anyway; people walk during the red all the time. You’ve just never been to NY 🤷♂️
I always learned in school, stop, look, listen. When you hear sirens as a pedestrian, find a sde plac3, stop, look, listen. You're on the cross walk, get your ass off!
Pedestrian has no walk sign and would have to be medically deaf not to hear the airhorn and Q siren. But somehow, it'd still be the truck's fault if this guy got hit.
Watch it again. He did have the walk sign. And it’s not that he’s dead; in NYC all you hear is sirens, CONSTANTLY. You cannot go 5 minutes without hearing them. Of course he’s not expecting them to come up from directly behind him. When he did see them, he quickly got out of the way. Non-city people are talking about city life that they know nothing about…
No it was an example turn for the ladder. Accelerate into it. The pedestrian had a do not cross symbol because of the traffic com which turns all lights read when emergency vehicle is close by.
@Jourdainist "I knew what I was doing. Just attempted murder to send a point, totally against department regulations but hey this isn't a developed country. It'd thr wild wild west" 🙄
@GamingWithLenox great. So the driver had audible and visual warning. Now go and kill pedestrians by barreling through intersections. You clearly don't work in Policy. They're audible warnings. Not licenses to drive recklessly. You think people who make safety laws and that around murder/manslaughter don't have rules in place to what happens when people get killed in circumstances like this? Or employers in how to avoid these deaths? I'll give you a hint: be cautious, because lawsuits are a bitch.
