I live in Ord. Thanks for the footage of the Ord Diversion Dam. It's one of my favorite places and I was curious as to what it looked like when the water was up. You couldn't get near it at the time.
I grew up around Lincoln, now in southern Oklahoma. I only just recently caught wind of the flooding and can only keep up with it through old buddies and alt media
Cancel one aircraft carrier and there would be enough money to pay for all reconstruction. Of course it would still be borrowed money added to national debt.
At least that is a US Military asset. We give Israel 3 Billion a year in foreign aid despite them being a modern, nuclear armed state which is about 3 times what the total repair would be for these floods.
The government now actually is the only government that cares. Problem is you cant fix this overnight, you want it done yesterday but that is unrealistic.
I have never seen flooding this bad. This looks like the end of the world. I saw the flooding along the South Platte in Colorado in 73, and it was no where near this bad.
Now they should know exactly where not to build houses … will they rebuild in the floodzones for future floods to destroy house .. exct ??? how smart are the Humans ...
