How many of you have had an episode where you sleep funky on your neck and you can't turn your head one way in the morning? I hate it when this happens!
Try this the next time this happens to you :)
Very carefully, not forcing into pain, tuck in your chin and roll your head back 5 times and see if you can turn further with less pain. Nice! If it works, do this 2-3 times per day.
If it doesn't work, ouch! Side tilt toward the side of pain 5 times and see if you can turn further. If this works, also do it 2-3 times per day.
It's also good to do some neck isometrics for those deep neck stabilizers, as research has shown we lose strength in those deep neck muscles after an injury.
