I wonder if Necrit understands that the dragon people essentially reincarnate so Dan Heng is still the same guy but he was reborn from the pervious elder Dan Feng. Dan Feng is the one the general and blade knew personally.
there is something deeper, Dan Feng did not past the power of the elder onto the next elder. which is why the dragon people were split and try to preserve his power in his reincarnation and exile the reincarnation than to seal him so its power is not lost and there is a chance of him returning and reopening the path.
@@lagrangewei I'm actually still a bit confused about this point. 👀 They say that the power is passed on from one high elder to the next, but all of the high elders on the Luofu were apparently part of the same reincarnation line up until Bailu where the power of dragon something transmutation was "lost"... @@cookizilla1772technically they are different people, when they reach 700 years they turn into eggs and lose all their memories. they're then reborn as a child, so really the only think that still resembles the previous incarnation is the body, thats why they all looked the same until bailu. so yeah, you could say theyre different people, they even have different voices.

nope he still slightly have some sort to do with his past though your last sentence is somewhat correct for dh to feel that way after all currently he have no sort of memories really (I don’t know if this should consider as a spoiler leak since it had mentioned a few times in the game) dh didn’t really get reincarnated but de-aged to when he was a baby again due to his sin as we already know ofc but dh doesn’t know yet since obviously if u’re a baby ur memories is foggy so dh think he actually reincarnated from df. just to be clear u don’t normally trust characters words if u’re reading from narrater perspective!
I actually like they did not repeat the bossfight & drop formula, and gave a cool scene on a seamingly random moment. I hope they keep being fresh like this on the cool music moments.
@@ivansciacca7810 well i think its because the big bossfight havent actually happened yet suprisingly. like i would count the phantylia fight as a you fought svarog in the underworld fight cause he was in the way, we are still not finished in the luofu arc like still many unanswered plot points like jingliu still not accounted for, same with luocha, whats gonna happen with jing yuan, the stellaron hasnt even been dealt with yet. like theres just a lot more to see.
11:20 Dan Hang is not trying to hide his identity. Den Fang died and when he was reborn as a new person, that person decided to call himself Dan Hang. They are two separate people.
But didn't Blade say that Dan Hang never even experienced death? I thought that he just considered his old self dead when he left and sealed his powers.
@@JVMarcos Dan Hang didn’t experience death, because he was born after Dan Fang died. That’s why Dan Hang keeps telling Jing Yuan that he isn’t the person Jing Yuan knew. Dan Hang also implies that he doesn’t even know why he was exiled on birth, so he doesn’t have the memories of Dan Fang. I’m guessing Blade’s comment is because he doesn’t think the punishment was harsh enough, or maybe because Dan Fang somehow started the reincarnation without being killed by someone.
all depend if you think a person is an Ego or a soul the ego of den fang isnt the same as den heng yes but its still the same soul its all relative to reincaranation

they do the splitting ocean same like they did when we fight cocolia after the mc gain the fire power, turning up the volume to boost the impact to the players, and I love it.

No matter who I watch play the new quest, it seems like nobody has paid attention to what the vidyadhara are and their reincarnation cycle 😂 maybe it's bc it's been a while, but it's very funny to see.

The character "trail" before they are even fully revealed definitely convinces me to look forward to pulling a character. Dan Heng - Lunae has such a nice animation for his skills. Looking forward to a full Imaginary team. XD
For anyone that wonder why Blade didn't go nuts and tried to kill Dan Heng I think because for blade he currently only follow elio plan and follow the flow of the story because I think he knew there will be a next time for He and Dan Heng to settle a score and because there also a stellaron problem which need to take care of immediately also I think why blade didn't want to fight dan heng seriously for now is because atm Dan Heng in a denial state of his past which make blade lose interest because Blade is aiming to take revenge against the old Dan Heng he know, the dan heng that turns him into immortal being not an astral express dan heng

He joined the stelleron hunters because Elio promised him the future he's looking for (he wants a true death) Kafka controls his crazy with her mind power so that he can follow the plan without losing control of his emotions. So yeah he knows now is not the time.
@@d0minican0milan0 I think the Mara makes them go a little mad. So Kafka helps control it. She can also control anyone it seems ("Listen to me"). And Jing Liu also seems to have the mara under control but showing hints of madness.
Also pretty sure Blade didn't know Dan heng did get reincarnated and literally forget his memories... The way he thought Dan heng just ran away. I have gut feeling Dan heng and Blade need to know the full story of the past especially for both of them stories
I have one complaint about this quest and I think everyone agree, it's too short and very cutshort in the end with just Black Screen with text, but I guess gonna wait for them to cook harder.
It's basically confirmed that we're getting more story in 1.3. Most likely, they just released everything they could get done so it didn't seem rushed, so it is a bit short. But we're finishing the Xianzhuo arc in 1.3, so hopefully everything gets answered.
Would've been better pacing if they moved the Dan Shu quests out of the Trailblaze Missions sooner and at least had the Xianzhou storyline end with Phantylia before introducing the Loufu. I wouldn't have mind if the waiting time was after Belobog's end at first imo All in all I'm quite satisfied, though I didn't like it as much as I did with Belobog because of all the stupid YT recommendation spoilers ON RELEASE
13:45 Creating a separate character that is an established character just later in the story, is very on brand for Hoyoverse games with Honkai in the title.
He's like Bailu, a Vidyadrahan. But he's like the BOSS boss of them. He's reincarnated over and over again like all dragon people which is why Blade said he hasn't experienced death yet. There was this thing from Jing Yuan or one of the Vidyadrahan spirits where something with Dan Heng's reincarnation ritual was different or something. Maybe the cause why he is insisting that he is Dan Heng, not Dan Feng (him in the previous reincarnation). Also, maybe the reason why he was reincarnated as a 4 star instead of a 5 star one. Lol. 😂
My Blade has become one of my best, almost on par with my Seele, and already a bit stronger than my Jing Yuan. He excels at sustainable damage, where the other two are great in bursts. I pulled for him because I didn't have a good Wind dps character. Dan Heng gets outclassed by Seele instantly, and I didn't have any tanky characters that deal damage. Only had March and Fire MC. Blade is REALLY underrated, not by damage, but by versatility and where he fits into certain team comps. And if you have Luocha + Blade, they should ALWAYS be paired together.
Interesting fact in Chinese names, the first (and some times second) character is normally the family name. What comes after that is the person's actual name. So someone from the family of Li, might have the full name of Li Hua. People of the same family or clan will have the same family name, and the family name is passed down from parent to child, like with surnames. With this in mind, one could say Dan Heng's family name is Dan, so his actual personal name is Heng. The reason why he might've kept the family name of Dan is a tribute or reminder to his previous reincarnation - a link from himself to Dan Feng. Whether this choice is an act in self-punishment or not...can be an interesting debate-
This is must the tip of what hoyo is capable to do For dan heng and dan heng IL both are separate characters which is why there will be a banner for him next patch (for context bronya in hi3 alone has 18 different version and all play a different role) There might also be another version of march 7 in the future when she finally unlocks her memories of the past For the story, thats just modern hoyo writing when they wrote a topic that theyre familiar with
@NecritTV i think dan heng is like bailu. he most likely went through a rebirth like bailu thats why he says i'm not dan feng since technically he is a new person with dan feng's memories. i think when jingyuan said the new high elder is a little kid he was talking about bailu
Yep, Bailu is the new high elder after Dan Feng, but because the elders fudged the reincarnation ritual she only got part of the power, and Dan Heng kept the rest
I feel like the MC not talking to Dan Heng perfectly shows that he was upset at him. He's always snarky and cracking jokes but he didn't say a single thing this time

The same way March was upset with Dan but she was loud about it, MC isolated himself away from everyone and didn't want to talk to Dan. He was mad exactly because he doesn't understand what happened, to them Dan just lied to his friends
Nah the Mc is like this. In March's Companion Mission. If you interact with the mc. At first they go silent. Until March ask to "Say Something" and the mc replied "Something" 😅
dan heng and dan Feng are the same character, dan Feng was the old person, "died", got reincarnated as dan heng. same characters, different persons, same body.
with dan feng having two playable version, i wonder if future characters would be like the same in honkai 3rd where characters have different battlesuits
@robinsailo5652 He's talking about characters having different forms, I brought up 3 characters that easily could have those second forms. Who gives a pom about their lore vs gameplay paths. Sampo is a Masked Fool, yet he's a Nihility unit.
I don't play the Game, I just watch the trailer for fun. at 6:55 Blade said "So familiar. Did she teach you? Then you deserve no mercy." Is he referring to Jing Liu? Could Jing Liu be the one that caused him to be mara-struck, or he her?
People complain about the amount of time of this quest and im like, Id rather have a two to three hour quest everyother patch than have a quest that is four to five hours long with a story that's not as good every patch.
@@bl00by_I'd rather have Paimon explaining over this. This quest had great cutscenes but it was average when looked story wise. It was like all show no substance. Reminded me of Inazuma which was also flashy but fucked up the story.
@@AJ-jy6jq wouldnt say it was bad we got vidyahadra lore and the reveal of a lord ravager and possibly what kafkas spirit whisper could do all in this 1 part of the story. the entirety of inazuma we just fixed the vision hunt decree,killed Signora without knowing her backstory and meet raiden

I can watch a several hour long unvoiced world quest which gives no clue about anything if it's presented well. I agree that It wasn't as bad as Inazuma but from what's released so far in HSR it definitely looked equivalent

Looks like Genshin needs to keep up the pace, but damn Hoyomix makes such peak performance. As for Dragon Dan Heng, ITs gonna be a separate character for sure, cuz I doubt they'll give a five star character in a form of a skin to a four star character. Also I dare the triple A companies get this level of quality of animation and music FOR A MOBILE GAME. Also: Canon names for the trailblazer is Caelus for Male and Stelle for Female.

To be fair xienzhou arc is not even finished yet. As welt said stelaron containment will take time. Not to mention jing liu and luocha still roaming around. Coco in otherhand is a arc ending.
I hope they don't skip the story in 1.3 patch like they did in 1.1, it kinda breaks the link of the story. These are lore heavy quests and it's not possible to retain everything with such huge gaps
Mihoyo managed to make the game cheaper yet fulfilling with a little trick. They don't need to make brand new characters because now they can just make variations of characters (destruction, nihillity, etc...) thus they don't need brand new models, brainstorming and outfits.
A thing that im personally not 100% with is the same method from Impact 3 of separate "skins" for characters in the pulls, this IS dan hang but now with other clothes and you can pull for him. 🤷♂️

@joshbrosh6626 and they've reworked a lot of the filler levels out in the earlier stages, and even added more CGs and newer models (Susannah and Alvitr for example) so its a lot easier to digest for a new player

I think its good in general(no pun intended) and in the main quest context, up till this point jing yuan keeps a lot of secrets, you should be wary of him. Tldr, he’s sus

Thats what happen when a medium game gets to much attention. Though as someone who had alot of time. I preciatte what it is in truth. Nothing 'big', nothing small.
Until you realize the reason why the game got good story was due to the lesson the dev got from Genshin….Things get better when you learn from your mistakes. Have you played HK? There was literally nothing in the first 6 part of campaign. So i would say Genshin got good at Sumeru which lead to Star Rail getting good story from the start. While i do like Star Rail more than Genshin, i also do like what they are trying to do with the later part of story.
