Necromancer's Guide to 0-99% Zamorak, Lord of Chaos - Read Description

This guide is going to be less of a breakdown of what Zamorak does and more of a guide on how you can kill him smoothly and safely. This guide will not get you fast kills, but it will get you very simple kills. The 100% guide which will be coming out later in the week will focus more on what the boss actually does and how to deal with those mechanics, but if you follow this guide, you will be able to get consistent kills. The edict order that I do in the first kill is (if you are facing North, 1 is the far right edict and 6 is the far left edict) 1 2 6 4 5 3. The edict order I use for the second kill is 2 4 6 1 5 3. The second one is significantly safer and what I recommend you do if you are struggling with the first order. The first order will generate faster kills on average since you'll have less downtime waiting for cooldowns.

Bro this makes zammy so easy. Legit tried him for the first time today (brute forcing it with all the mechanics and using the correct defensives etc) and it was so fucking stressful. Managed to get 5 kills in about 2 hours with dying a few times. Im going to try this out tomorrow, legit seems like easy mode! THANK YOU❤

Congrats man, you are one of the few guides to explain when to charge the pads to your advantage to skip specials and burst at the right moment I recommend this to any beginner learning zammy.

it makes it way easier if you pre-command skeleton when pad is nearly done charging right before skulls, thats an extra ~30k burst damage with no cost

Amazing guide. I went from first kill, eating full Yak and inventory worth of food, to a no food kill and starting to add enrage in 5 kills!! Im a decent PVMer once I get the mechanics and efficiency down, which this guide helped a LOT with!

Excellent guide! I recently discovered your channel, and I am very impressed how you are able to simplify bosses. I feel like a lot of streamers get to technique which can add confusion. Also, I really enjoy your coaching videos as they are very insightful and offer lots of QOL. A question that I have was the use of Bloat prior to entering an edict. What's the main purpose of using Bloat? Take care dude!

the big reason to use bloat is that Zamorak's red health can't be overdamaged, meaning that if you hit a 6k on a 1 hp red shield, it will only do 1 damage. By using bloat and skeleton, you add a ton of hits together so that you can instantly clear red shield.

Is the activation of the pad what enables mechanics? Meaning if you don’t activate - Zammy just cycles between range and mage?

Does zamorak only use auto attacks when his health is grey? if so then does that mean bursting through his phases stops his special attacks?

You're exactly right! After doing a lot of off-stream testing, it was clear that you can get consistent mechanics skips up to like 600% enrage, so actually learning what Zamorak does becomes significantly less important if you have no intention of climbing post 500% enrage. I do have a tips and tricks video out for Zamorak to show what to do when you mess up mechanics skip, but generally you'll want to practice getting consistent skips.

Since summons no longer cost adrenaline, it is not necessary to match the specific timing.

Every time you charge an edict at Zamorak, you get 100% adrenaline!

If I don't want my ghost to cast, I usually just press my other abilities (mostly basic attack since that's the only one I have keybound).

Oh, that means I already used it (it costs 0 adrenaline if you use it with no active target) or I don't have enough adrenaline for it. I'm not great at always dropping target, but I try to time all of my resummons for when I kill the witch in Infernus.

If you have enough adren but you've already cast it, it'll still be grayed out, so that's not always the case. But generally, that is true.

spirit shields are only necessary at 900+ enrage when you can't skip mechanics anymore and have to take a ton of damage from his mechanics. Prior to 900%, there's no need for a spirit shield. Also greater bone shield is the best option for you.
