been listening to these guys for about 10 years, yet still find everything they've made super solid and quite frankly impressive, be cool if they come back
I don't think its funny or sad. I thin Muhammed has a lot of interesting talents other than death metal. He produced two completely excellent albums and no bad or mediocre work at all. This man is an all around success story
couldn't agree more. They had 2 perfect albums, and when Mohammed thought he didn't have any more good ideas, he quit to become a BWM engineer. Absolute legnend.
completely wrong. Some of the audience was even singing along with the solos. It is very compelling music, but it's not quite as accessible as whatever rock slop you listen to.
I suspect he planned it the whole time. Music doesn't typically make much money and touring is a rough life! I like thinking he planned on releasing just 2 albums and tour on those, then tell us a new album is coming soon for a few years but never release it just so all the excitement is there for a while. He's a prankster! XD
Either way if they are done, they left a solid reputation most bands cant duplicate. There's always one album over the years in most cases that dont live up. And he does kind of have issues with his label. It is amazing how little money comes in from it, most come out of pocket in the end.
ken frazee Too many dipshits come to shows and don't really pay attention. Snare drum, fast beat, throw head around, r my tatts or dyed hair cool enough?
He says 2011 will be a great year for Necrophagist and hopes everyone is waiting for the NEW RECORD to come out. He mentioned that twice. Me sitting in 2015 and still waiting...
+Christian Jott I drink whiskey. I would never say this about Necrophagist when I'm drunk. They are a great band. I read that it took Suicmez 7 years to finalize the solo for Fermented Offal Discharge. He is probably perfecting the new album. It will be worth the wait. Until then we have two great albums to listen to!
For those who don't understand this interview. The key facts are or have been that Necrophagist wanted to release an album in 2011 and start a tour through Europe.... Wait I have a look at my clock....Oh dear, 2011 is almost done....Well did I miss something?!
Sounds like Sami had a cable going bad. I can hear his guitar coming in and out throughout the entire song on my headphones. Also, the gain drops dramatically on his tone on some parts almost like when you turn the signal down on the guitar's volume knob. Bummer... He still rocked the solos!
Yes it's very annoying, if it was a bad cable or something else it would probably annoy the hell out of him and he would stop playing and get it fixed? But he looks like he doesn't notice it. Maybe the mixing guy applied too much gate or something.
@OssianOtt Sounds rather like a gate issue since the quiet sweeping and tapping sections seem to be the only affected ones. If the cable was bad it'd either go completely dead at least for multiple seconds before getting back into proper position or crackle like hell. My bet would be on the gate. An amazing live clip nonetheless.
It’s 2024 and while there has been some great bands in the Tech Death genre it doesn’t hit like Necrophagist. Still hoping we get to hear that album that was never released…
7:38 Ouch That one hurt because it's been over a decade and we still don't know if they are ever going to release any new material. Just a few months ago Daath released some new songs and now they are touring in 2024. They are back to making music after over a decade. Maybe Necrophagist will do something similar in the near future. Maybe not.
Sami Raatikainen is one of the most brilliant metal composers around and his skill with the guitar exceeds that of most. Gather knowledge of the topic before you open your mouth.
@ the guitarist playing the solo from 2:46-3:17. That's one thing you learn as a performer. Good job dude! Never stop playing, never, never, never, even if your gear fucks up, or you happen to make a mistake (can't say which one's the case here) but good job!
Unknown? Even 12 years ago when you made this comment they were EXTREMELY well-known. Have you stopped smoking pot in the years between that comment and now?
@@user-lx5iv8vj7zWhy would a ticket for a metal show ever cost more than $50? I think the most I've ever paid was about $60, and that was to see Slayer, one of the biggest heavy metal bands of all time. They also played with a bunch of other big name acts (which I didn't watch because they suck balls, like Behemoth, Children of Bodom, Lamb of God, Marilyn Manson, and some other shitty deathcore band)
