It's the closest one to a PC, because the architecture of the console is closer to a PC than to the PS3, that's also why the game never released on the PS3.
***** No they've said it somewhere that they were unable to code the game right for the PS3, remember how hard it was for companies releasing games on the PS3 back then compared to the XBOX360
***** It was More powerful, but the dev. kit that was given by Sony was too complicated at that time, the PS3 was leaps a head in terms or performance and features, but unfortunately the dev. kit that Sony released was way too overwhelming for companies to take the time to learn it when compared to a X360.
It looks better, those who said the pc version looks better its just because of resolution, but the game looks better on 360, it was launched later to show the power of the new generation of consoles.
@@ZoomerNostalgia The GC Versions' framerate is not locked to 30, the ps2/xbox versions are locked to 30. The GC version runs often at 40, but sometimes drops below 30.
Yeah, but the bad side is that when police heli is above you on x360 you cant see anything, unlike in other versions. It makes police chases a lot harder on 360.
You aren't going to get much of an improvement with ENB at all, infact it'll likely make it even worse. ENB tends to over saturate and adds far too much brightness, making it look really un-natural. There are much easier (and better) ways to improve the game's visual look on PC, my Mod Showcase series is an example of that.
HGCentral I actually sorta tweak it myself to make it look more alive and not the flashy "everythin looks waxed" deal. Though I will check that out. :)
The Gamecube version got the short end of the stick, and clearly the one that EA cared the least about. Its GPU is more capable of shaders than the Original Xbox, there is no excuse whatsoever for it to look graphically inferior to the Ps2 version other than it was a hashed porting job. Usually, the lazy third party games on Gamecube at least match their Ps2 counterpart.
***** Kind of weird that the graphical effects are less apparent than the Ps2 version, though. You'd think the Gamecube could at least do that much, it's not like lines of code take up huge amounts of information.
***** Indeed. Twilight Princess (In Snow Manor with the ice) actually shows that the Gamecube is capable of real-time reflections fairly easily. It had no trouble reflecting Link, enemies, and the environment. Imagine if Most Wanted had those on its cars.
I would like to see continue of this story. Like after 10 years Razor has escaped from the prison and he become famous racer in Rockoprt. His car like a Koenknight Agera R.
this is why nfs is shit nowadays. if you look at the boss cars in mw, you will notice they are all affordable cars that are modded, pure racing cars (like the bmw, and the db9), and some ocasional supercar like the mercedes, these are all cars that a person can relate to and work to get them irl, unlike a hypercar that costs more than you will ever earn working. the true essence of nfs is cool cars that everyone can see in the flesh at some point in theyr lives, not like a1/1000000000000 chance of doing so for hypercars.
i would like to see a sequel to this, but a sequel that combines the city of most wanted, undergroun 2, carbon and undercover, with the respective storylines, think of it as a gift package to the black box ea developers and fans alike. i know this if far fecthed, but instead of making the ghost studious do 4 diferent games, they could just do this remaster. if this cant work, then they could introduce a new character, that goes through the same citys, starting in bayview, and ending on the undercover one, this would combine the best of the old nfs, jdm tunning, european tunning, some supercars, cop chases, a sort of blacklist mechanic, i can see potencial in this formula, but as we know, ea doesnt give a shit.
I'm wondering if it's possible to port the GFX from the XBOX 360 version to the PC one. I mean I'm just way more used to the XBOX 360 GFX than I am with the PC GFX.
I remember when I first played this when I was I think 8-9. my dad's computer could barely handle it haha. We all thought the graphics were amazing back then. Funny to look back now on how much things have changed 🙂
I downloaded the Xbox 360 emulator for my pc now I'm trying to port the graphics from the Xbox 360 version to pc when I port it I will upload a link to it
It would be cool for someone to do that. Though, did you have any progress? I know the 360 emulator isn't even completed yet.. But, I hope RPCS3 and Xenia get good in the future.
I love how the slowdown caused by PCSX2(or maybe just a pc not good enough to do this at steady speeds) is making it look cooler, because everything is better in slow motion!
+HGCentral The emulation requires a specific plugin that helps with the emulation. The way EA did their games makes most of the NFS games run like crap on emulation.
The Xbox 360 version looks best. For some reason the PC version used an outdated version of DX9 along with lower res textures,. Sabotage or incompetence, who knows...
I think the Xbox 360 one looks the best and realistic. It has a nice gloomy weather and a yellowish hue to it. But there are some huge weather problems in the other versions. It looks like night in the PC and midday in the Xbox 360, it looks like afternoon in the PS2 and it looks like sunset in the Xporiginak Xbox version
One of the best games I’ve ever played!I loved the soundtrack and customization. I used to play this game back in 06 on an HP DV6000 laptop when I was still in high school. I’m very impressed at how the graphics look! I didn’t have a current gen console so I was completely oblivious to how they performed on other platforms. Now I know why PC gamers call themselves the master race lol.
HGCentral That's surprising! I tried this game in 4k earlier but it doesn't seem to scale too well so I might have to fiddle around with some settings. :/
Quick update: Using the ThirteenAG patch can support 4k surprisingly well - models are still very detailed. Mixing up texmodrpf2 and modern Rockport yields a brilliant looking game for the time. Also, that emulator makes ps2 look pretty damn good though it seems rather intensive. That's some serious anti aliasing there.
This game needs to be re-released we need a remaster 4k 60fps on current gen consoles PS4 pro and XB1X. Or just enhance it on the Xbox One X id literally buy a Xbox One X just for this game if they 4k enhanced it.
PS2 #1. I heard, not from firsthand experience, that the Xbox 360 version struggle with framerate flipping between 30 and 60. But graphically the 360 version is superior to all. Still kind of prefer the yellow Haze in the PS2 version, nostalgic reasons.
I hate when people say that PC is best for everything. No it isn't. For Most Wanted 05, the most reliable emulator (PCSX2) is incredibly slow and the graphics themselves aren't that great either. Xbox 360 is the actual best platform for this. As you can tell in this video, it has the best graphics and doesn't slow down like PCSX2. End of rant
Gamecube graphics aren't bad. (It's like 240p or 360p) PS2 graphics are bad. (It's like 144p) PC graphics are good. (It's like 720p) Original Xbox graphics are OK. (It's like 480p) Xbox 360 graphics are very good. (It's like 1080p)
the reason the ps2 version running on PCSX2 looks worse is because there are two renderer one that is more accurate to real hardware but needs beefier hardware to run fast and the default one that is faster and allows upscaling but loses some graphical fidelity (wich is the one used in the video) it's already slow on his pc so using the other renderer would barely get 1 or 2 fps
Quite a tidy comparison, are you gonna do one of the Underground games and Carbon too? PC will always look the best, unrestricted more or less but up to the developers or even the wicked modders to make it run well ; )
I can't recall what settings were on when I made this video, but when I can finally get some Gamecube footage, this will be remade, and all the footage will be re-recorded.
@@TorutheRedFox agreed but pc isnt garbage tho Xbox 360 has best Graphics Pc Has 2nd Best Graphics Those graphics are better than the other (not saying they all bad) The others are good tho
The Original Xbox And Xbox 360 Had Better graphics in my opinion I like the cop car reflection on the original Xbox also the 360 version got like some piss filter I once played most wanted on the ps2 emulator I wasn't sure if I played this but I grew up playing most wanted on the original Xbox I wanted to play it on the 360 but I don't have it I only play this on pc but I did add mods to it this vid was like 6 years ago I still loved this compared video
step 0.5: buy a 360 if you don't have one step one: buy the 360 version of the game step two: open the case and insert it into your 360 step three: turn on your 360 if you haven't already step four: launch the game EZ
+JJtoob That's what the old Resolution Changer essentially did. The Widescreen Patch by ThirteenAG is a proper widescreen mod. It's been updated since I made this video and the improvements have been even greater.
HGCentral --- I recently went back to play Rogue Squadron, and I don't remember if GOG.com added the widescreen functionality, or if I downloaded something to let it do that, but I was so disappointed in finding that it only stretches the picture to fit the wide format. To me that's uglier than having black bars on the sides. I'm glad this game has a proper fix for that. It's one of the best NFS games in my eyes.
Whoever says that Most wanted(2012) is better then every game of NFS Hes wrong!!!!,NFS UG2 and most wanted (2005) Are the most better games in the NFS history
