2:58 that's the illegal shortcut that Marcus used to pass player lol. Cant even imagine how dumb it was made to make players *think* they cant pass through.
Also the road on the left is fake cause it is an unfinished road. And even if you tried to go there the game will reset you, unless you use NFS The Run debug.
No, you can't. And here is why: Even with that glitch, if you turn left it will take you a reset, because like NFS UG1, this game has so many unfinished roads. But in NFS UG1 you couldn't fall out the map, while in NFS The Run is the opposite - you can fall off easily and being stuck. The game just prevents you go there, even though for some reason Black Box marked it as a road. Theoretically they wanted to make it driveable but never finish it because they ran out of time. That's why you can't.
@@mafia_trilogy_enjoyer well the first time I did it he veered off to the left and smashed into a wall before the race was over on the straight. The best part is i didnt even touch him he is just a terrible driver
Actually they were developing for 3 years because it was the first NFS that use a Dice's engine which was used for Battlefield mainly. And after NFS Carbon, they were split and stressed-out making 4 games at the same time so that's why even 3 years for this game weren't enough.
Thia game was supposed to be like you are watching a movie and that's why it is so scripted. Many people wished the NFS 2014 Movie was like that but we didn't get it sadly.
my theor y:maybe there trigger right behind the trigger cutscene to see if player already for cutscene and maybe blackbox forgot to made the reset trigger in that shortcut.

Well, there are mods that allows you to do that. But the reason why it is not open world because it is like NFS UG1 - it has so many unfinished roads that lead you to a dead end. But unlike NFS UG1 - the world had barriers so it was impossible to fall through, while in NFS The Run it is the exact opposite and you can sink through many not solid roads, damage your car and fall into an infinite void that it gets fixed if you exit the game.
Not surprising! Have you watched the videos "Making of NFS The Run?" When Black Box developed it, they followed a scripted scenario - like you see in a movie! I mean that game was supposed to be a movie, right? Despite we never got it in the NFS 2014 Movie.
