Few days ago, EA has shut down autolog servers of NFS The Run. As my way of saying goodbye, I will be uploading the entire campaign in Tier 6 Extreme Difficulty in the whole of September to show what the game could have been if EA had not rush this game! The full playlist walkthrough here as I add them throughout September: ru-vid.com/group/PLk8XQsXbhOZ57F1678YgYZFWYFUNEZwn4 Timeline: 0:00 - Stage 1 Prologue 4:27 - The Run 7:26 - Tier 6 Car Select 8:16 - Stage 1.2, Downtown San Francisco 12:21 - Stage 1.3, Altamond Pass RD 15:03 - Stage 1.4, Interstate 580
Oh that sucks but it is what it is, anyways I have a challenge for you try to beat the entire campaign in extreme difficulty and here's the catch you are not allowed to rewind or not crash (same thing) if you do crash you have to restart the campaign, of course you can do this after you're done with the tier 6 campaign walk-through or even at whatever time you want or not if you don't want the choice is yours not mine
Extreme was one of the most fun yet challenging difficulties I've ever played in any NFS game. Having to be so precise with your driving was exciting as hell.
I miss this game. Seriously, I do. Such a good game, even if it was rushed, my younger self loved, and still loves this game. Stories like this are something I like. But everyone has a different opinion and or taste.
I find ironic how most NFS UG1-2/MW 2005 retards finally started appreciating this game. But I'm sad that Black Box after NFS Pro Street got threated like shit not only by EA but the fanbase too.
A proper send off to one of my favorite games. Let me tell you, I was devastated when they announced that this game and 4 other nfs's were getting shutdown that on the very same day that the announcement came I bought a PS3, a limited edition copy of the run, and a Lan cable. And let me tell you, I haven't had that 'high' of being on edge in a LONG time. The game was so much fun to play that I started to feel.... sad. Sad that in a few short months the game will end... forever. After feeling that sadness I bought all the dlc available on ps3 and drove my ass off. I made a challenge to reach level 40 (level 35 in the end), wanted to redo extreme difficulty (never did), and complete all of the challenges (only did half of them). Most of my time spent on the game was online, because that's where I got that 'high' most of the time. The racing, INTENSE, the cars, FAST, the scenery, BEAUTIFUL. A perfect blend of what could've been more if blackbox were given more time. Seriously you should've been there, couldn't get anymore competitive anywhere else. But I knew time was running out, the 'high' couldn't last forever, so, on August 31, 2021, at 8:08 PM (EST), the servers for The Run, Shift, Shift 2, Undercover, and Carbon were all simultaneously shutdown.... It's heartbreaking to have something you love so much just disappear in a blink of an eye. I don't have a PC due to space issues, so I can't enjoy any mods or hacks in games. I wish I had one so I can try to make my own servers, to play it again, to enjoy it with other people, to let them know this is real racing. I'm hoping for future developers of need for speed titles to take a look back at what made the series what it is today. Sometimes you don't need customization to have a fun and thrilling experience, you just the pure adrenaline of racing.
I absolutely love the intro for this game Jack wakes up in a car only to realise he’s gonna get compacted and barely escapes. Hands down one of the darkest scenes in a NFS game.
@@aromaRR7 That's a weird reason to hate a game. I love the first scene, it's very well-paced and sets the dangerous mood for the rest of the game. Not to mention the incredible soundtrack.
@@aromaRR7 is the cutscene the reason why you especially hate the game this much kek besides, you have the option to wheel better porsches later in the game anyway not that the carrera 4s that you have to glitch to be able to drive looks good anyway, if anything its the opposite
@@exiles299 I know that Carrera 4S looks absolutely horrible when it's modded into the game, but at least it's a somewhat cool car irl And yes, the better Porsches later is true, but it still doesn't take away from the fact that this is the only NFS the Carrera 4S appears in and you never see it outside of the first 2 minutes. Do you know of any other games that have a car that you never see outside of the first 2 minutes, because I don't (no I'm not counting Mia's RX8)
The Run is, no doubt, the best cinematic experience that has ever blessed the series. I'd love to have it back alongside the things we have today (especially in Heat).
Ahhh, shame about the servers - I remember completing all challenges and getting all cars just in time. (Well, last summer, but quite close to the end, in the grand scheme of things.) I was surprised that we could still have some decent fields in multiplayer. (Some wreckers, but that's kind of expected.) It had such a great atmosphere.
@@h99gaming14 i think blackbox kind of manage to make good use of frostbite since it was hard to use by many devs and was never handled well if used for other than battlefield
12:50 This was funny to me at first, saying:" oh look two identical venoms, is the venom brothers" and then it hit me, from that day forward I created an entire story around this playthrough, about a community of drivers coming back to light with a bang, a big race where anyone can compete, even the mob that appears in this game with two objectives: Take out jack and win the race using a member called marcus (The final boss) and where you can bet money to say "Who will win the run" many betting on the best racer of the community, Jack "The Ripper" Rourke, now only known as jack, because he basically got the mob into racing and the community in trouble, I'd write more but my fingers are tired, maybe I'll explain my story in every stage video but idk, I plan on doing some kind of dub one day, maybe
Mob would've still noticed, even if it was further in the race. However, I've gotta wonder if it was the mob who organized the race. Seems likely since Marcus was involved and was one of the two still in the race at the end.
Literally just beat this game on extreme difficulty last night and now I wake up to this I wasn't even aware ea closed the servers I just wanted to play this game again haven't played it in years and now everyone's talking about i
Nice am currently doing hard difficulty because extreme was lock! And so far I’ve enjoyed myself besides the pc version been a bit laggy and autolog won’t connect for me instead it just freezes my game!
I got stuck on the hardest mode I forgot where I was but i had to choose between a gallardo and a 911 gt3 ..I feel like I chose the slower car ..and could never make it
Since I'm actually fucking sensible, I despise this game. Every version, not just the main one, because it's not as if the Wii/3DS versions were any better. They weren't.
If they do choose to remaster, I think they should add a freestyle mode where you can basically choose the tier of your car, the tiers of your opponent's cars and the weather as well as time of day. Although playing like this would mean no Autolog records, achievements or trophies, free modifications for your cars and lastly whatever good content was missing or cut when they rushed it would be included in the remaster. Who's with me?
I used to love this game but I do have a question. I never played the game on extreme difficulty so was having high end cars in the begging part of that or is it a mod you did to do that?
When I look at The Run I see Black Box trying to understand what made Hot Pursuit a success... and failing at that. The Run is okay, but that's it. It's still the third-best NFS game developed by them, though (which isn't saying much...).
@@alexiscardoso1413 No it fucking isn't, and I've owned the limited edition on 360 and checked several times. It doesn't fucking exist. Liar. The only way you can get that damn thing is via hacking on the PC version.
Yeah that's what made me absolutely fucking hate this game. One of the nicest cars in this game and you only see it in the first 2 minutes because BlackBox loves torturing Porsche enthusiasts.
@@aromaRR7 Blackbox never took advantage of the Porsche agreement, we should have gotten more Porsche's and not just 5 in Most games aside Hot Pursuit and World
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the cut he's racing for $2.5 million. That isn't really that much. Unless when she say "The purse is purse is $25 million" she implying that 100 racers have put up the same amount. Which means they'd be racing for a 2.5 billion dollar pot
And the even weird part is Sam is taking 22.5 million to fix Jack's problems and other for herself? So basically Jack just raced and risked his life for 2.5 million and Sam with no effort got 22.5 million. That is unfair.
What are things I like about the different modes in need for speed the run if you choose medium or hard the cut scenes in this one change cars if you notice the cars change where it looks different from the easy mode where the car is an Audi here it’s a Lamborghini
One thing about this game that never made any sense to is why you had to level up to earn the ability to use NOS and draft people. Seems like they just put that in to artificially extend the gameplay because they removed any real form and sense of customization aside from paint.
A whole load of shit never made sense about this game, such as WHY THE ABSOLUTE FUCK DOES BLACKBOX HATE PORSCHE ENTHUSIASTS? like seriously, they have the AUDACITY to destroy one just to put a curse on our lives.
this game has a good concept, fuck, literally if it had better writing and maybe a bit more freedom this would be an all time banger up there with carbon, underground and most wanted
I dont remember going from California to New York I thought that it was from New York to California and I don't remember any of these cars being on the game
I think he did an mw2012 hand cam where he played on kb, but you can also kinda see in this video how the car jitters when it turns, while with an analog input device you won't see that jitter at all
I got this game late as heck... Well 9 years later and i enjoyed this game both singleplayer and multiplayer, yes it has its problems but this is still one of the best looking and one of the most fun NFS games for the ps3. Especially when playing online
