Capture the Flag is here! Well it's Capture the Conduit actually but it's here!
Planetside 2 is celebrating its 10-year anniversary this month and to commemorate the event, a new Capture the Flag mechanic iss added! In this video, I share some things you need to know to get ready for CTF!

I appreciate that! The painful part was matching the live server in-game time as much as possible for the lighting. And I missed it twice for AFKing 😫

I can't see a big difference in graphics settings yet, but the difference in lighting makes it hard to compare. I can see some textures are sharper than others, and I notice a difference in impact explosions, but tank explosions feel pretty similar. The reflections look amazing and I will be trying them out. CTF looks awesome and I look forward to that. Same with the Bastion changes. EDIT: I checked on other videos. I think your recording might not showcase it too well. You can see some differences after all, but I guess only way to know for sure is to download the PTS.

yeah, the shadows look like they're off even when they're on, they're super faint. (atleast in this video) i didn't think the graphics could get much worse, but DBG will always find a way to disappoint XD

I dropped about 5 frames on non-crazy fights with the same settings I have on live. I'm sure that'll improve!

I noticed quite impactful drops in framerate, everyone I played with did. I dont think the update has been optimized at all yet

well, with ny new pc i buildt this year with a 3080, it can not run this game unless i put everything to low, and still it has inputlaag. and it wont work right on a 4k 28" monitor, text are way to small and minimap is truly mini now. resolution scaling dont help much, but it sure destroys the image quality. i liked this game more on my old pc with a 1080ti at 1440p. and finally they put in AA options, but sadly they are mostly infective and huge 20% fps penalty at 4k.
