Actually, having a full set of crítical legendary coils is a really good way to del tons of damage to frozen enemies. With a godd shot, you could even do about 20k with a single shot in the thunder jaws heart.
Keep pushing you'll get better. I've been upgrading all the gear in the game after two complete playthroughs, I needed a new goal lol. I too still have much to learn I just got a surprising clean kill on an apex thunderjaw. Elite Acid trap, followed up with a braced shot to the heart from high ground. Knocked down both disc launchers and ran up to completely unloaded a bolt blaster point blank into it's face. It died as I drew up my bow for a final shot as it was still under the acid effect. Elite Acid trap Lights go yellow Iriv's Downfall (2)long-range damage +25% (2)stealth damage +25% (1)high ground damage +25 a single braced shot fired, using an elite precision arrow, to the heart The Emperors Reign, no coils resolving that now lol four single shots fired, using advanced hunter arrows to take down the disc launchers Lights turned red as i closed the distance to point blank Brawl breaker boltblaster (5)impact damage +12% Sustained burst, full magazine, 50 advanced bolts to the face! Lights out Aloy took 0 damage and was left standing there with a full charged bow and no target. No Valor surge used Never stop trying new things.
@anthonysmith3577 So true, since I made that post I have become so much better to the point I wish I recorded some awesome battle sequences. I've adopted a very aggressive playstyle that uses the electrical shredders on ancestors gauntlet to tear and shock machines. Once in a shocked state grapple strike them then follow up with carjas bane spread shots. Works well on 90% of machines.
@@sinoki4413Probably, but it's hard to tell. The Zeniths had no idea about Aloy until the Hades proving-lab, but Tilda later saw all the contents of Aloy's first focus. At a minimum, this means Tilda has seen Aloy take out stormbirds, corrupted thunderjaws, and hordes of deathbringers at Meridian, and *still* chose to FA&FO at the end lmao.

Weaknesses sniping, one-shotting is not for me. And it took a couple of tries actually several things went wrong like, gravity, Sunwing flying too high, component not broken off, etc . But yeah it was def fun😂
But you have it on easy mode. You cannot detach thunderjaw parts in less than 4 shots, the only way to get that is by getting an instant tear shot which is only 25% chance if you have to best coil for your bow. Meaning you are playing on easy mode, especially with how that thunderjaw hasn’t whipped his tail yet while you removed so much of his components. Cap
Is that a thunderjaw? I versed one in the main quest the heart of the Nora and it looks so much bigger then the forbidden west one (I play horizon zero dawn)
Finally someone using the sunwing and Whats that thing you did in the end when you used your pull caster and hit the thunderjaw with your spear never knew it existed how can i do it? In 0:52
Mounts become another target when facing more than one enemy. Not necessarily a good thing when the sunwing/waterwing will just orbit the area until they fall out of the sky, dead...
Brilliant. Definitely the 2 games are top 10 ever. What a brilliant beautiful experience it always is when you sit down and get buckled right in. Love when you start figuring out how to efficiently take down the big guys. So rewarding
And here i am... tongue out aiming using 80% of my concentration bar aiming at the biggest component and still miss... watching this is seriously frustrating 😂😂😂
I love how I will try double jump to get the glider but hook the mount. When I fall from a height and use the glider it depends on when or if it will pop.. The most irritating part of the game seems to be the sloppiness of the controls for me
