i know i shouldn’t be listening. but this song fits so perfectly with everything i’m currently going through, i’m almost astounded i didn’t write it. Melanie has a way of writing exactly how i feel in a lot of her songs, particularly Void & this - but the lyrics are so unbelievably fitting to how i feel and every heartbreaking emotion i’m feeling right now, and she has no idea how much of a comfort it is to me. to be understood so deeply by someone who doesn’t know i exist. what a beautiful connection.

I had a friend that I had known since elementary school, and our friendship had been on and off because of fighting. This song deeply resonates because I had always thought me and this friend were spiritually connected, and I'm just very sad right now. I feel like I cant replicate the connection me and this person had, and it feels so wrong to abandon all the effort. 2:50 always gets me because it reminds me so much of my ex. she had messaged me telling me she lost feelings and didn't feel like the relationship was going anywhere.
