Music Played By: Miguel Sequeria Haywire RC Store: officialhaywir... Origins of this engine are unknown. Obviously neglected. I'm gonna take a shower now!
Damn bro I had one that was pretty tough to get out, so I know how you feel, but I am glad you got it. I can't wait to see it running. Great video. 🔥🔥👊
@@haywirercthanks man for those part numbers, I have an xxl with a new 454. Just trying to make sure I can keep it going, no electric conversion bs for me
A trick from back in the day was to place a pan of about 30% nitro on a hot stove coil and warm it up. Not boiling of course, but really warm. Drop the seized engine inside. Let it take a hot castor oil and nitro hot tub for a bit. We quit using the pan on the stove method and now use something much more deadly, but super effective. Heated ultrasonic bath, using 30% Nitro. Works the best for stuck and/or old engine restore. Get it away and back and outside from anything flammable. Don't put the lid on the ultrasonic bath, of course. Leave it open. You will loose a bit of wash fuel. Keep a close eye on it. If your doing something wrong, make sure you do it right. Strain your used wash fuel thru a cotton rag or ?? afterwards. It can be reused several times. Doing this since 1988-ish, when I started rebuilding old nitro aircraft motors.
👍always on the way inn. Late . Been a little sick. Here now. Awesome intro. 👍🔥🔥🔥💯💪🏼. Hows it???? Nice i love the 454 and the 427. Nice. Lst nitro. The Novarossi i got was seized. 😂😂gentle. Awesome. thats when people put the cars on the shelf after summer, without lube the engine properly. after saison i take my engines apart, lube it and put it back togeter. never had a stuck engine
@haywirerc OH ok lol. New ro the cameras and such. I just have 1 tripod and 1 of the ones that follow you from TicToc. My wife got me that one so it will follow me while I talk and assemble my engine. And I use my phone for videos. Been looking at Gopro cameras but they ate pricey!!! Lol.
Nice work bro it’s a pain when the sleave gets stuck glad you got it fixed and running decent ultra sonic clean an those parts would come up like new I’ve done few videos on it well done can’t wait to see it go bro 🤜💯🇦🇺
Sweet. I love my old engines. I had an old OS .15 that I freed up, thankfully not as bad as this engine, and gave it to my cousin. The little nitros are fun!
Hey Bud I use Spray Nine and boiling hot water to clean up dirty engines like that! Have to use a bit of elbow grease and perseverance, nut it works well!❤
Thanks for the comment! This is the second engine I've ever cleaned up. Really my first as i've never seen something this bad in my 2 years in the hobby.
@haywirerc No worries, I have seen many such engines, (some even from my own neglect! Lol) but an old toothbrush and some time will usually make it almost useable. Or at least surprise a person how much better than when they got the engine! You're doing great if you've only been into nitro for 2 years! KBN like the bug says!❤️🙂👍
Alot of the stuff seem to interchange. I have a 2 old Sportwerks Mayhem buggies. They have the Sportwerks .26 V2 engine. It's a Mach .26 with the S logo for Sportwerks. It's a pretty strong engine.
I usually don't record tough situations because of the highly descriptive adjectives I may use. So I wait till I am finish with the hard part. Roflmfao
