I have a dilemma. I'm finding shred that I'm able to haul to a scrap yard. Now I'm getting 3 cents per pound for shred. My dilemma is whether I should save shred up then cash in on it or if it worth my time for a few bucks here and there. I'm getting 15 cents per pound for transformers and I'm a micro Scrapper.
Crows walk, ravens jump. When they fly the difference is the crow’s tail is round like the bottom of an apron, raven’s tail is like a men’s tie. There is always the obvious raven nose bump.
Both are so amazingly intelligent! I’ve bonded with the group of crows that hang out in the green belt next to my home. It did take awhile. They’re very clever and interesting to watch. They have a culture and it’s recognizable after my 20+ years of watching them.

Hey Paul, just wondering, here where I live, they sell used appliances, when I pick up nice looking washers, dryers, stoves, usually even if the they have to repair them, they give me at least $25.00 for each one, quite a bit more than the scrap yard pays! Really enjoy your videos, God Bless and keep you safe!👍
Some of the appliance repair places sometimes will buy them if they are nice looking, no rust . Depends on brand and what might be wrong. Got $50 for a big double door fridge. Usually get $25/$30 for most. Here lately, just junk

🛻🛻🛻 hey Paul ! For a minute at the scrap yard I thought I saw Clifford and Blue together again lol. Perhaps it was cousins of theirs. Im laid out in bed sick as a Rufus and have not gotten any answers from my doctor's. I asked to come off my pain meds for my back and went through restless withdrawals last night, got zero sleep. I pray for God's healing.
@@ScrapPalletMan I took them responsibly most times as needed been on oxycodone since June 5 mg up to 4xs per day but mostly only twice per day the side effects really messed me up and now I have something seriously wrong with my digestive tract. I'm so weak it's not funny and it seems God's not hearing my cries for healing...I know he hears and I know it's for His reasons I can't lose I'll get better or I'll get the best.

Your explanation of attention deficit issues with having to do B and C before A and then D and E one day later is the most accurate I have ever heard. That is so true and relatable. Maybe an idea for a time saver when you have lots of tiny bits in the truck bed: big magnet in a bucket, hoover the bits up on the bottom of the bucket and then take the magnet out. Only works if you don't forget to bring your bucket though :)

I used to work at a used appliance shop we tested and repaired our appliances no it doesn't matter if there is hot or just cold water as long as the hoses are connected up to the water supply it can be cold or hot. A washing machine will only use warm or hot water when its selected via water settings otherwise it will not use the hot water so it can be hooked up to just one if you wanted it to be just make sure that one is off at the valve on the connection pipe but definitely a good idea have bother hoses hooked up.

Paul I love watching your videos, when you get front load washers, open the door and remove the inner glass , I have two and use them in my rock garden, and it helps to get plantings going as it works like terrarium, I also put little cars, figures ect. It's like a world under glass. I may load a huge load of scrap and road trip to see Michael.. It be cool to see you too. Recycle center that I use is not paying very well. Duct tape for refridgerator door = use it's power cord. Tie cord thru handle. Use 2nd power cord to tie fridge's two doors together. Yeah, armchair hindsight, but, offered on chance you might use it.
Yes you can hook up one hose to the washer but you have to plug off one of the parts of the washing machine hoses if you don't you're going to get water all over the floor so therefore if you're using Straight cold plug up your hot water side so you don't get water on the floor or you can put a y in and hook them both up and they both get cold water

Yes you can check it with just cold hook up your water hose and power but you can change the hose to both sides just to make sure the fill valve is good on both but thank you for the video my pops had a used appliance store for many years I did help out when I wasn't working in the winter with my union job commercial roofing
Hi Paul, fridges freezers air con units have to go to our local council recyclers here in the UK . Any scrapper caught get fined really harshly and could loose their truck or van , to the big scrap yard in the sky. People still leave them kerbside though Paul in the hopes they will be picked up for free. Scrap collectors and waste carriers are really under the microscope with huge fines. Also no scrap yard pays out in cash always direct to you bank and the H.M.R.C. ( Tax collectors ) monitor payments , used to be a bonus but not anymore. When I go out to get scrap I don't tie my refrigerators are washing machines down at all cuz they won't fly out the back of my truck cuz I have a one ton steak truck flatbed not pick up more stuff on the side of the curve to anything else
That was a great load . I hope prices go back up for you. That scrap yard does seem pretty fair compared to the other one you use to go to. Hope your washer works out for you. I would just hook to cold if that works probably both do. Or test one at a time. It possibly leaks . Mine needs repair right now as it sprung a leak. 4:06 those are really good leafblowers, however their design makes them cumbersome to use. Another question, how does the scrapyard calculate weight with different levels of fuel in tanks?
That's why you bring duct tape Paul I'm laughing because that's what I was thinking when you said you need a duct tape LOL Fruit that has been on the ground is more likely to be contaminated with e coli especially if there are deer in the neighborhood so be careful

You can test the washing machine with just a hose on the cold water. And I would test all the good appliances you pick up and sale them to a local appliance place that buy's used one's you will make more money. That's what me and my dad do if they don't want them then they go to the scrap yard. We been doing this for about 20 years. We test all of the appliances we pick up unless they are nasty on the inside like the one you just picked up. Wow that lawnmower works that's money in the bank brother. Wow Paul, talk about the old days of manhandling those appliances. It is almost evolutionary using the tail lift to assist you now. Seems barbaric the heavy lifting of the past! I appreciate your physical efforts to load & unload your scrap haul. The huffing and puffing keeps it genuine too. No easy task. Take care
Hey Philip. The liftgate saves on my shoulders and back. Also I like to do a little bit of lifting and pushing of heavy because it keeps me in better shape
Get a gardenhose Y - tee splitter and put it on your garden hose.(get a splitter with shut offs on it) put a set of washer hoses on it.(save a set of hoses from a scrap washer) Flash you have a test hose set.
