The baby boomers had the best time, the best music from 60's--90's. Freedom, great fashion.. Yes there was world issues like Vietnam, killings of the Kennedy's.. Neil Young was always his own person.. Australia
Saw Neil and Crazy Horse at the Seattle Coliseum. Rocked all nite. Brought down the house with a 10-15 min. version of Mr. Soul. Best experience I've ever had, and I saw Bob Marley!
I saw him there. Breaking guitar strings. Saw 4 way street tour July 9, 1974. My 20th birthday. Jesse Colin Young, 1 hour. 2 hours acoustic CSN&Y, 20 min break, 2 hours of electric rock. At the end, the house lights went up and we left. No encore. None wanted. We were wore out!😄
Suzanne, it is a great song but Buffalo Spring Field did it the best, in my opinion. Crosby Stills Nash and Young did it and that was great to, I think young needs to go back to canada and get over himself, after he retires.🤢🤮💩😆
Love this song and I’m here because of a Michael McDonald interview! He mentioned Crosby,Stills, Nash and Young and this popped into my head from years ago. I’d forgotten about it! I’m a 72 year old great grandmother now but I danced like a teenager for 3 minutes! Lol! ❤
This man is a legend, he was once with Crosby , Stills, Nash and Young. He's been solo with various bands he put together. Also, many consider Neal young to be the original punk..
The biggest thing missing here is Ralph Molina, Mr. Trustworthy when it comes to keeping Neil in line with the beat. He may not be a glamorous or flashy drummer, but he's the guy you want in a foxhole. Ask Neil.
“Actually", said Neil, "I just took the riff from Satisfaction, changed it a little bit and added a minor fifth harmony on top, which changed the sound…[“] Neil Young Hit Parader 1967-1968 (From a link in the Wikipedia entry on this song)
look at the master kill it..... great song.... my favorite cover of all time 1985 baby tomatoes mr soul. to b e too onsoooonn why don't you ask me...... I don't know... stick around for the trick of disaster\
He has lived most of his life in California therefore no matter what else he is Californian in old Spanish "El Californio" Del Sur Californio for sure.......
To repeat, “Actually", said Neil, "I just took the riff from Satisfaction, changed it a little bit and added a minor fifth harmony on top, which changed the sound…[“] Neil Young Hit Parader 1967-1968 (From a link in the Wikipedia entry on this song)
It's definitely Duck. Booker on keys. Neil took Booker T. & The MGs on tour (with Jim Keltner on drums) after they played together at the Bob Dylan 30th anniversary concert, mid-'90s. This lineup is a variation--different drummer and Pancho instead of the incredible Steve Cropper.
You can hear him drop the tuning on his low-E string to "D" - no tuner...just wham...,it's part of the show, kids...,deal with it.....,yeah...,NY gets that scowl on his face...,watch out...,
Yep i know about this. Id the largest contributers to 360,000 year fountain. 10% savings account. After the fact public done deal. Those are not disney youth villians. Too much work to do today. Maybe tommorrow work done also.
What are you talking about changing. Standard Ferrari heart shot oil change. Hallulia knights white satin spider new end. I thought everyone did stuff like that.
I dont know if these guys made the song but rush preforms it soooooo much better... Any one who likes this song should go check out the rush version because they turn this song to fucking AWESOME SAUCE!
Rush was honoring their Canadian compatriot and hero Neil Young with a tribute cover. I find it unlistenable but then I find all their stuff unlistenable, no disrespect to their fans who love them. I thought Buffalo Springfield was the music I’d been waiting to hear my whole life and I still think so. Go find the original.
