I went to school with Neil... he was always the greatest guy and one of the people I always have fond memories of from High School... always loved music and playing in a band. Glad to see he was so successful!
Neil sure has gone a long way! I remember seeing him at the Sahara Club in Willoughby. Also hearing about him winning the Guitar Wars in Cleveland back in the mid-eighties.
Playing guitar isn't about hitting every note like a robot. It's about being on stage and having fun playing this kind of stuff for the people who love it. You can tell Neil loves what he does :)
Only one word would describe this, Brilliance, this song is amazing. Neil Zaza is a great artist, give him credit for creating a rare masterpiece! I love the way he just smiles on the stage loving what he does thumbs up for his magnificence
I dream of a G3 tour with Neil, Satch and Eric Johnson all playing together. I think I would give up my house to see that tour. Love your music, keep putting your heart into it and I promise to keep spreading the message.
This version in particular of I'm Alright changed the trajectory of me playing guitar so much. Dedicating my time to learning this and Technical Difficulties at thirteen was a bold move, but it made me look at so much of what I did that made things harder on myself way earlier than I probably would have otherwise
this is the most relaxing song i've ever heard!!!! must have watched it about 50 times in the 2 days !!!!!!! LOVE THIS SONG ZAZA Should do a gig in the UK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like how he smiles when he plays...He gives the 'feel good' feeling to everyone with his song and his on stage performance. Yet I don't understand why most people credit JerryC more than him...
This is a legitimate question: Is instrumental rock popular in Asia? It just seems so weird to me that any time I pull up a video of an instrumental guitarist, it's either filmed from Japan or has Asian subtitles. In fact, I know that many people found out about Neil from JerryC's cover. Is it really that popular there? I find it hard to believe, because here in the US, it's about as popular as Disco (in 2015, I mean).
Neil was always a great guitar player. I watched him in Cleveland in the early 90's with ZaZa,and then into his solo stuff at the Cleveland Cafe. Always thought he deserved to make it.
When i heard this song, it took me one second to go upstairs grap my guitar search for taps and tried to learn it, just true perfection this song got it all, i cant stop listening to this song :''D
because of him i bought a cort kx-5 it rocks ive got a good epi les paul to play the warm bluesy tone and now a wonderful cort to give me that straty les paul mixed lead tone, prefect combo in my book
@Siqqen It was (I don't know if he still uses it because the video is from a few years ago) custom made by Colt, a Korean instrument manufacturer. As a Korean, I'm happy to see him playing it! Also, this live was taken place in Korea too! Cheers!
even though i play this song every time, i don't get bored even its repeated again and again... because its nice arrangement of the song.. and great composer.. worth listening for.. :)
I played this song in my school talent show! i made it past the auditions, callbacks, semi finals, and the finals and guess wat??? I WON!!!! Neil Zaza is a genious, this song is amazing
