Oh yeah I forgot, his old camera was heavy and caused a hernia. I'm sure Nelson would be amazed to how technology has advanced since his days. Being able to record with something that fits in the palm of your hand.

Nelson’s videos is by far THE BEST reality show ever!! It’s REAL reality and better than any of these scripted “ reality shows” where the cast gets paid to act a damn fool and make up beef and drama for views. Nelson didn’t have to do shit but be himself and he has nearly the world watching his retro videos! This was real raw authentic talent and to think he wasn’t paid a dime! Dang I hope you are looking down and can see the impact that you and your wonderful videos have made! Someone should REALLY do a documentary on Nelson of make a movie about his life! So much of it is detailed in his videos that there’s no way anyone could mess it up! But it would be great to hear Dick, Ru, Mike etc…. Speak on his life and share some special things they remember
This video had just about everything and more. What a viewing experience. I think my favorite part is the contrast of how Nelson is with his friends and how he is on the phone with his family. It really shows all sides to him as a person. And Nelson reminds me so much of my own family, especially when he is being so sharp about how they aren't getting the camera right. I always enjoy the videos where Nelson has a mustache, as he looks so distinguished (he also looks a bit like the guy in Manos Hands of Fate). Thank you.
I was graduating high school, May 1987.👩🏼🎓 I loved and lived the 80's ! Saw Prince live , listened to David Bowie. I listened to all genres of music. Yes. The big hair bands! Motley Crűe was one of them, mostly listened to them rolling down Panama City Beach, Florida. _Fantastic_ time to be young❗

hello, I want to express my feelings here. I am a Turk and I met Nelson Sullivan, the owner of these videos, on RU-vid 4 years ago. although he doesn't know me, he must feel in his grave that I admire him. I watch all of his videos and I spend most of my time on RU-vid with his videos. I understand that you may be surprised and find crazy about what I said, but it makes me feel good. As someone who loves nostalgia, I can say that I am not an American, but I remembered that I am a human being at a time when technology has developed so much. What we feel, our feelings, our love and longing have no language, religion or race. I enjoy watching his videos, it's like I'm on a life journey with him, I love you my friend. RIP🙏
“I hope they accept the charges” lol back when collect calls were a fortune to make! Mom would just pick up the phone and hear something like “You have a collect call from *insert name*. Do you accept the charges?” And hope to the good lord she does, otherwise you wouldn’t be able to reach her.
We used to go to great lengths to avoid the collect charges. I would call my mom collect, she would pretend it was a wrong number, then call me back. lol
and always hearing ... well this is long distance we better get off this phone. It was crazy expensive I remember gas was cheaper than 15 min phone call. Back when people used phones to speak with people! Those were the days... I’d go back in a blink

@@ChefLJo its not that bad. Surgery itself will be quick. Its the recovery time thats kinda a pain. Took 2 weeks for me to heal completely. It was hard to sleep/move but got through it

I winder why Nelson never released more if these before he died? Probably no time but it seemed like he knew he wasnt going to be around in the video of the day before his death. Rip
These videos had no place to be shown at that time. He gave copies mostly to friends featured in the videos, but it was not until RU-vid came along that they got to be seen by the masses. I think Nelson's plan was to use clips from these videos on the cable show that never came to be.
