I love how all these different companies (Good Smile, Bandai, Jakk's Pacific) are making these video game characters somehow all scale properly despite being made by different companies :D
great review , im rather impressed with this figure more so because of its magnetic hands and feet, ive not seen a figure like that before and im amazed i really am !!
Wow this is a really awesome figure. The way they executed his limbs are genius. These Nendroids are definitely a weird but interesting style of figure. I agree they are definitely on the pricey side. Some standard releases of popular characters can cost around sixty dollars. However I've seen some special or web or con exclusive figures sell for upwards of two hundred dollars. I get they are luxury items but those prices for such tiny figures are a little ridiculous. I have two Nendroids of the main protagonists in Kill La Kill and I definitely enjoy them and ill probably hunt down this Kirby. Thanks for this interesting review and I'll definitely be looking forward to the next.
Rapid Motion WRONG. I bought a fake kirby for that price. The fire stand and kirby stand broke, the sword is EXTREMELY sharp. The angry face is sideways. The star rod is terrible and barely fits in the hand. Speaking of that hand, the magnet for that hand falls off. The sword hat is poorly made and can barely fit, the fire hat is REALLY sharp as well, it also cannot fit at all with out adding the magnet that fell of from the hand. NEVER BUY THE FAKES.
This is a fun figure to own, I hope when Meta Knight goes in to production, that he includes extra accessories for Kirby, or at least he's designed similar so that Kirby can wield the Galaxia. As for the design this Kirby is closer to his Mass attack and triple deluxe counterpart
You can get Kirby to stand without the stand if you use the alternate hand as a tripod leg, it's not a perfect solution, but it works out ok when viewing from the front
Every review I've seen of this Kirby, everyone calls the star rod a wand, has anyone played Kirby's adventure for the NES, GBA, or 3ds remake? Either way good vid!
don't know. this was a long time ago. i think there was one similar in design to this one that came out a long time ago in japan but i might be making that up at this point.
Think you'll get the Nendoroid Wind Waker Link? It would be perfect as your Toon Link in the Smash collection. He's also another one of those "cutesy" figures that are actually supposed to look that way, which is why I bought him. I'm the same way as you haha
SH Figuarts need to make future gohan with alternate heads and interchangeable arms and faces and they should give him a kamehameha and a masenko keep up all the great work man.
This is the only action figure of Kirby we have but I have hopes tomy or the world of Nintendo will make a kirby figure and I hope both company's will make kirby plushies and I think sanei is the only plush people like
Will you get the Figma Link from A Link Between Worlds? I think it's the first Link figure to include the pot, a rupee and things like that which is great
This is a really nice looking figure, but the fact that it can get scuffed up so easily and can't stand on it's own is a deal breaker for me. Flatter feet would have been perfect to include, and while the soft texture is nice, it's not worth it if marks can't be cleaned off.
you can only really get them from second hand sellers like ebay now but they are absurdly priced sadly this figure is kinda old so he is sold out everywhere
ok but for the engineering, accessories, and quality, the price is fair. objectively speaking, it isnt over priced. it might be more than you want to pay but it isnt over priced.
I'm curious, how do you determine something like that? You say its objectively not overpriced because of accessories, but how? If you haven't made a video for that yet I think it'd be a real interesting one.
it's a collection of experiense and knowledge about the design process that allows me to determine if a company has put the effort into the figure to justify the prices. of course, there is some range... it's not like a science... but for instance, theres no way you could make this figure at this level of quality and have it cost less than it does. too many parts, too much engineering, too much quality,
