@Otneimica The issue there is you'd have to play many of the games to know some of this stuff. I had no idea about the Void thing, and I've played I think 4 different Kirby games to completion.
Yeah but it wasn't until the Nintendo64 that the story wasn't just in the instruction booklet. Every Game Boy, Nintendo, Super Nintendo Kirby game the story was mostly in the instruction booklet.

This gets deeper when Kirby finds himself in a post-apocalyptic world, meets a bunch of characters that looked like they came from "that side of the internet". And a cute little friend who is a part of an interdimensional entity.
This is why I love that Kirby was the only survivor at the beginning of The Smash Ultimate World of Light, not one of the other characters was as qualified to kill as many gods as Kirby.
Joker, Cloud, Bayonetta, Link, Sonic, Pit, Terry, some FE characters, and Zelda would like to have a word with you Also there could be more god slayers in the smash roster that I haven’t listed so let me know what I’m missing
@@no_0riginality937 I don't know about the fire emblem characters but zelda, link, pit without flight (which btw is only for 5 minutes),cloud isn't very powerful by his own. I don't know about sonic and joker .
"I hope a new game will clear this all up." New game: Makes Morpho Knight canon and basically confirms the existence of humanity in the Kirby universe, but still manages to make things even more confusing.
And shows the source of the Ancients having the ability to teleport. (SPOILER ALERT!!!) The source is none other than an alien kinda like Ghidorah (he destroys probably for fun). Specimen ID-F86, AKA, *Fecto Elfilis*
@@kwagz3314 Also, if we're being nitpicky (and I am), Morpho Knight and Galacta Knight were _technically_ canon before this, as in they existed. It's just that they hadn't made any canon appearances. This is still the case for Galacta Knight, though.
@@silviox8637 That's only b/c--in spite of all of that power--it's still just *Bowser*. He's the Dedede of the Mario meta. As we all know, Kirby is one of Nintendo’s mascot franchises. Even though it may not sell as well as the others, it is still beloved by many (and the sales still give enough support for HAL to continue making games). When Masahiro Sakurai left HAL, the Kirby series was in a slightly dark area of sorts (depending on your view of the games at the time). However, the Kirby series then received a new director: Shinya Kumazaki. With a new director came along a new twist... lore. Really, really deep and well-written lore. The new lore connected nearly everything in the series. Us Kirby fans LOVED the lore, and craved for more of it. With Star Allies being the most lore-heavy game to date, I decided to talk about all of Kirby lore as we know it. At least, all as of now. Lord help us when the next game releases. First off, let’s start with the most iconic lore characters: the ancients. The ancients, as their name implies, are people from long, long ago that are no longer around (or so we think). The ancients are iconic in the lore for being affiliated with almost everything. Let’s take a look at their history, shall we? The only planet confirmed to have been inhabited by the ancients is Halcandra, which is located in another dimension. Now, that’s not to say they didn’t inhabit Kirby’s dimension, as several of the ancients’ creations can be found there. Regardless, the ancients were highly advanced in science, as they created many legendary pieces of technology. According to Magolor, the Lor Starcutter, a ship that can traverse through space and time, was crafted by the ancients using an incredible power. He also states that they created “clockwork stars that soar the cosmos” using the same power. Many have presumed these stars to be Novas, clockwork cat faces that can grant wishes. This was seemingly proven in Kirby: Planet Robobot, where the final boss of the game, Star Dream, fused with the Access Ark, revealing it to actually be a Nova. According to Haltmann, his company analyzed the most advanced civilizations in the known universe and used blueprints they found in order to reactivate Star Dream. The Lor and the Novas were two examples of their skill in science, but they were also skilled in magic as well. Also according to Magolor, the ancients crafted “mysterious items that can bring dreams to life.” These are presumed to be the Star Rods, which power the Fountains of Dreams. Each fountain is responsible for giving every inhabitant in their respective planet good dreams. They also created the Master Crown, a crown that grants its wearer limitless power. However, the crown itself appears to be sentient, as it takes control of Magolor’s body and transforms him into a manifestation of itself. In this form, Magolor notably has an eye in his mouth. Many have thought the crown was Dark Matter because of this. While almost everyone else thought that wasn’t the case, those who said it was just might have been correct. We’ll get to that later. Anyway, those two are examples of the ancients’ skill in magic. Slightly off-topic, but since the ancients lived on Halcandra, it is likely that they made Egg Engines, and in turn, Metal General, which the Haltmann Works Company probably used the blueprints of in order to make the Security Force. The ancients also entrusted Landia, a four-headed dragon, in guarding the legendary treasures they made on that planet. However, that’s not even close to all the information about them... As Kirby Star Allies is the most lore-heavy game as of now, they wouldn’t dare to not include the ancients. As we all know, Hyness, the main antagonist of the game, dropped a lore bomb in the form of having a stroke and spouting it out at light speed. Given that the English localization butchered this lore bomb, we’ll take a look at the original Japanese version. According to Hyness, the people of his clan were powerful wielders of magic, and were friends with people who used the power of science. Hmm, sounds familiar. The people of his clan were also worshippers of a matter most dark. Anyway, one day, their science-using friends turned on them in fear of their power and banished them to the edge of the galaxy. As if that wasn’t enough, they then subsequently erased all but a sliver of their very existence from history itself. So yeah, most of them are dead. I think Hyness is like, a descendant from this sliver, but I have no idea since it’s totally unclear whether he’s the last survivor or a descendant. Anyway, he also states that his clan was responsible for stopping a galactic crisis of sorts. Why am I telling you about Hyness’s clan? Well, it’s been theorized that Hyness’s clan and these science-users WERE the ancients, and it kind of makes sense. Think of it this way, the science-users build the base of the creation (specifically the Lor and the Novas), and Hyness’s clan imbues them with the “incredible power,” in other words, magic. That would explain how the Lor can traverse space and time and how the Novas can grant wishes. The clan most likely also made the Star Rods and the FoD, which have more to do with magic than science. Now, moving on to the Master Crown. It is theorized that it has something to do with Dark Matter, right? Given that the clan were worshippers of a matter most dark, it could be possible that they made the crown using Dark Matter. That would explain why Void Termina, the final boss of Star Allies and the reincarnation of the implied ancestor of Dark Matter, uses a replica of it in his boss fight. Speaking of Void Termina, his normal self, simply known as Void, is reportedly spoken about in several books that were written by the ancients after witnessing his starlike radiance. One of these books is likely the book of legend, which basically called Void a god. This book is presumed to be written by Hyness’s clan, due to him saying that everyone else thought it was a fairytale. And so, that is all the information surrounding the ancients so far. This is...really long. Anyway, next time, we’ll be talking about our favorite one-eyed family that corrupts planets, as well as their baby-faced presumed ancestor. See you around! -Cuckoo Kirby Fan
I will just add, that since the ancients who used technology weren't banished and basically dominated the universe before something seemingly made them disappear, there is a chance that Haltmann; Susie, Magolor and the three mage sisters could be the descendants of this ancients. They all have been linked to powerful technology or magic and share a similar design. It's also possible, that the ancients were one specie separated in two categories instead of two different species. And that would explain why people like Magolor and Haltmann got access to this technology. In the same idea, Marx was the only one who seemed to know about Nova. And if you analyse him, it's design his pretty much the opposite of Magolor. Could Marx be the descendant of the ancients too ? Maybe a different kind of evolution, or the ancients were not actually a specie but a sort of cult. My point is that there may be very subtle foreshadowing; like for the butterfly. Pretty sure no one see it coming. But there is still a lot to uncover, like for example what kind of event had to happen to wipe out people literally able to control time and space and bend reality at their will ? The next game seems to be some kind of origin story about this, so we will see.
It all comes down to: they steal kirby's food and he ends up killing an antichrist / important person, but not before bullying the cousin of the deku tree
@@historiansayori2089 well death did come the closest to killing kirby, and the only reason he failed is because a literal manifestation of kirby's heart appeared and led kirby to safety. so death gets a B-

@@kirbydied2875 the butterfly seems to be the same butterfly that absorbs galacta knight(?) and turns into morpho knight which for reasons unknown he's existence confirms an afterlife and a day of judgement in the Kirby universe. U can see his info when u pause the screen on his boss fight in Kirby star allies. This butterfly also is the same butterfly that sits on Kirby at the start/end? of some Kirby games so there's a theory that the butterfly is trying to absorb Kirby but can't for some reason. I think that's it. Damn Kirby lore is complex for a kid's game
@@me-ree5185 I read somewhere that the butterfly can't absorb kirby because he's litteraly a beign of pure happiness, while galacta knight is a warrior with thirst for battle, so galacta knight isn't totally pure and it's corruptable (another reason why instances of dark matter can't corrupt kirby) PS: sorry if i made a typo somewhere, i'm not so good at english
Void soul is probably just one example of the kind of baby _thing/eldritch god_ that can grow up to become a Void or Kirby/Knight depending on emotional exposure. It can be another antagonist, or something in the shape of a friend. Galacta Knight and Morpho Knight are likely different characters, as we've now seen Morpho Knight step in for more than one fight. Meta Knight and Kirby are likely the same race as them.

weird to think that, at some point, Kirby would just've been pretty standard, with Dedede as their Bowser/Eggman/Wily/etc but then they introduced Dark Matter, then Nightmare, then Zero, and now it's real wacky lol like a vanity obsessed wasp queen, a genocidal super-computer/artificial god, and straight up Space Satan, who's also the primordial glob that created Kirby _and_ Dark Matter i love this
Also a Pseudo God Furry Gemini that may be the reason for the existence of an ancient civilisation's technological prowise Also an ancient Artifact corrupting an Apple and taking the form of the Tree of Life and being responsible for an Economy in a parallel universe
And Kirby's shown to be even stronger than they thought in his Death Battle analysis since then. Star Allies showed he could knock a falling meteor back into space with enough force that it travels 9999 light years, while breaking through multiple planets, before crashing into a UFO and getting destroyed, all in under a minute. Edit: Someone apparently did the math, and concluded that Kirby apparently hit the meteor so hard it was launched back into space at roughly 14 billion times the speed of light. No idea if this math is right, but it sounds believable.
@@heleno6917 Yep but I think there is a little something nobody think about. Everyone is bringing out random characters from various franchise who maybe could beat kirby, but nobody is thinking about what will happen once kirby is defeated. By that I mean killed, not just KO or magically poofed away from existence. I mean cut in half, exploded or something. Kirby has theorically a dimension inside him (not a portal to another dimension, a litteral infinite dimension) so if he is killed, this dimension will expand and destroy the whole multiverse, killing everything in the process. So unless you are omnipotent, you can't beat kirby without dying.
With the new information we have, my theory is that void was reborn as another kirby since defeating it gives you the original kirby design (you get this by beating the hardest difficulty in the boss rush) so this is most likely hinting towards it being reborn into another kirby.
Kirby lore in a nutshell: God said "i feel good" and made kirby, basically himself but happy, then god said "i dont feel so good" and made every enemy in the game
its saying something when in the list of not eldritch horror bad guys RATS are the most abnormal, the most common enemy in every game that can stuff em in somewhere and in kirby thats the weird one!
"I hope they clear up things in the next game" No, this isn't how they work, they will just throw a new bunch of information that makes the previous obsolete and make we deal with it
Sometimes the info clears things up. Like when we learned about "Aeon Hero", which was basically a confirmation that Galacta Knight was one of the heroes that sealed Void Termina.
