Been dreaming about this place ever since I discovered it on social media while being locked up at home in 2020 - this beautiful colorful Indonesian village by the volcano. The real thing is even more captivating that what I anticipated. Nestled in the dramatic folds of the slopes of Gunung Sumbing, about a three-hour drive from Yogyakarta, is one of my top travel experiences of the last decade.
