Japanese players will complain about Itazan. Everyone suffers when Zangief is good except Zangief players. Zangief was good for half a season in street fighter 5 and the complaints started flying out

It's literally his worst matchup, rushdown characters function even better than zoners versus Zangief which is why this is so impressive. He won a 7-3 or even an 8-2 matchup versus a top 3 character using a bottom 1 character by enforcing his neutral and making him respect the range.

@@AlexD-uc1kn really? anyone win a comp with dhalsim? a complicated chun li combo can be undone with one simple ryu/ken combo THEN throw spamming by these so called pros, sf has broken characters with broken tiers, this isn't tekken where even slow tier characters have fast launchers, sf3 didn't just have broken characters but urien was one of the rare characters that can juggle in a 2d game, and with cheap setups where you get hit on every side, able to block it? you get throw spammed which FORCES you to be launched into another juggle, so cheap people use it in sfv, yes, the combo didn't even need to change or evolve in the 20yrs gone. It was whs why itazans gief couldn't win and the stupid japanese player was like "why are you upset". Dude you are being cheap, with no mercy, gief has no projectile counter in sfv his parry eats hp. Whilst all the shotos/alex get the sf3 no damage parry that works on everything. Gief only has a CHANCE here due to drive rush, which he freaking needs just to get a combo

Because tier lists are dependent matchups and how easy it is to be successful with a particular character. That's why there's so many kens and very little Zangief. Not many people can play like this
