I have a grave yard of wav pumps. I don’t replace them when they die. I like the no plug and just one cable but they suck. I am only using gyres from now on.
I heard those where junk. I use OctoPulse 4 wave makers and run them through the APEX. I don’t get near the options in auto program and I would with the Neptune pumps, but I have had them for over a year.
It seems to me that Neptune’s stuff is really going downhill. I had an apex jr from them fail after 8 months. Customer service sent me a new one but I had to get angry with them after 2 weeks of no responses on the issue. It’s a shame because their stuff seems really awesome but not if it all fails after only a few months.
I've been lucky with mine. I have 4 and so far have lasted me 2+ years. They are bulky though so wouldn't get them again. Instead I'd get mp40, octos or the nero7 for my 310.
I lost one after 18 months. they are junk. neptune offered me replacement for half price but no stock on them and no estimate when they will be availible
Hey brother question can distilled water cause the red algae can’t get rid of it and I use that water for top offs and water changes the algae starts off kind of pink then goes deep red
Red algae or cyanobacteria is a bacteria imbalance and I don't think distilled water would cause it but id recommended moving over to rodi when you can and get yourself some chemiclean and take care of the cyano
MINE HAVE BEEN JUST FINE FOR OVER 2 YEARS. I CLEAN THEM EVERY OTHER WATER CHANGE CAUSE OF THE IMPELLER MAGNET GETTING GUNKED UP CAUSING LESS FLOW. TAKE IT APART AND PULL THE IMPELLER OUT AND INSPECT IT CLEAN IT AND RETRY IS WHAT I WOULD DO.
