Hearing Nerd City trying to defend Dr. Disrespect AFTER the post came out was insane to listen to. I get playing devils advocate, but his take on this was almost as bad as Quarterings.
I feel like some people just hide behind the guise of “playing devil’s advocate” to defend their faves and are clearly heavily biased towards whoever they’re defending. Like a very disingenuous way to defend doc while still trying to appear neutral and unbiased.

NerdCity seems to just read whatever three tweets he first sees on a subject and then just build his own reality and opinion. Dude never seems to have any idea what he’s talking about but then speaks on it like he’s the ultimate authority.
I hate those “age of consent” arguments. Cos there’s so much fine print no one realizes or cares about. If the Age Of Consent is 16 parental/guardian permission is required just for the relationship, cos if they have sex you’ll still end up on a registry and charged with r*pe. The law is slightly different for every state but generally that’s how it is. Saying “age of consent is 16” argument isn’t an automatic out, just makes you look stupid and weird.
Also fun fact, because most of this would've been through the internet. The internet has its own consent laws where they can't consent if they are under 18.

I’m genuinely at a loss for words, like… if it was a “set up” that’s just a sting, Chris Hansen was doing stings for years, cops have been doing stings since forever, if you fall for a sting that’s because you genuinely have INTENT to “interact” with a literal MINOR!!! You fully intend on doing _something_ highly illegal and morally disgusting, so why should Disrespect get a pass? He’s literally saying “I wanted to do something with a minor”, so HOW, PRAY TELL, should he get a pass?! AND HOW IS THAT WOKE?!? God that’s the worst take I’ve heard in such a long time! The thing that makes docs situation worse than most predator call outs is the fact that people for YEARS thought he was a good guy to at god unjustly banned.
I don't get the point of this. He wasn't charged and no evidence has been released still. You have minors as an audience and you've said some "inappropriate" stuff. Why would we cancel someone over allegations? "Inappropriate" is subject and not a crime

There's no evidence the child was 17. Why wouldn't he say that? It could be a 13 year old. It. Would be a 14-15 year old. We don't know. Because he chose not to verify I think we assume worst case scenario

If he has done anything illegal Twitch would legally be obligated to report it all to the cops! So clearly NOTHING ILLEGAL happen. Just embarrassing for Twitch! So people can keep saying "child" but until we KNOW the age, there is no point in saying anything. The fact that no charges were filed PROVES the person was LEGAL but questionable! End of story!
