No kidding. If fat Nate Robinson showed up in a Harry Potter T and a egg mcmuffin I might believe it. But 6'6" slim dude with a Kansas City Jay Hawks looking hair cut? I'd pick him first and stack assists. I seen too many "nerds" with J'... I don't think I saw him hit rim once. Straight through, all net.
I can't believe that court of players were calling out a dude that just 360 dunked on the other court. I expected they could at least play... I was wrong.
What's the point of playing against weak players? Lol wouldn't you want to play against good people so you can get better? Talking about the ones in this video who said you had to have the bad ones on your team....
That's the way it is on every court, players make one basket and they think there on fire, swear there future NBA hall of famers.ive played against guy's that were more than a foot taller than me and I showed them. Don't ever judge a book by its cover
Wow what a prank. Who would have thought a couple of 6’7” guys in perfect physical shape, wearing basketball shoes, hanging at a famous basketball court could play basketball
being tall doesn t make you a good bb player de facto, neither being fit .....did you ever try to play BB with that type of trousers ??? i don t think so, it s almost impossible !!! i bet you were on this pitch and got your ass kicked but your ego suffered more than your bum .......i m so glad this guy got every others big mouth shut !
@@fivebooks8498 The term they were thinking of was probably just 'boy' by itself. Yes, it was and still is used in a negative fashion in the Southern United States. But it can also just be used as a means of an older person addressing a much younger male. It's a very complex word when used to get the attention of or address someone. It can have many meanings based on the tone of voice and context of a situation and conversation. Kind of like; It's time to eat, grandma. It's time to eat grandma. The same thing has different meanings except boy can be somewhat more complex. It is true that some people may associate it with racial prejudice, which I can't deny, I'm sure it had its overtones of racism when it was used against young black slaves. But it kinda gets nullified to some degree as, like I said, it was used against young white kids as well. It is very similar to the way people use kid these days. Sometimes it can just be to adress someone. But it can often times be used in a negative light. Especially online. As if to demean the other person so to speak. In either case. I could care less. I just rolled my eyes a little and thought I'd make a comment in jest as I thought his constant use of 'white boy' wasn't really respectful per say. But that was that. In the grand scheme of things, I wouldn't and don't let people get me worked up just by the things they say. People talk a lot of shit. And it's just that. Talk. Sound waves. Great thing about sound waves, is that you can ignore them and your life will go on.... Unless... It's like a car horn from a car that's about to hit you. For all you smart asses.
@@AJLapray the confidence comes from the fact that they USED TO BE ballers. Those dudes were trash lol I'm actually surprised their weren't better players there honestly.
For real though! They were all short to begin with and not even handles to compensate. No guys with any sort of playing or strong framed physiques. I feel like most dudes over 6'0 would have balled those dudes up on both courts. lol
there's a freaking crackhead walking across the court with a ball and that's supposed to be the main court? some of those jokers playing were dressed worse than the "nerds"-
Goin straight to the hole You aint got no game i'm wreckin ya out the frame comin through like a train Lookin to take over the whole world is my goal with my unstoppable crew takin all control
Great watching these guys. I would give anything to play one more game of full court. But at 65 y/ o with two bad knees I know my days on the court are over. Nice job everyone. Drop a three for me would you please.
So let me get this straight. The only two guys on the court whose physiques suggested that they've actually played serious level ball, convinced everyone else on the court that they were nerds who couldn't play? Forget it being obvious after the first three, it was obvious after the first behind the back crossover. Hell, before they even picked a team, based on build, I figured they were the only two ballers on the court.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing. The fact is, if you saw guys dressed like them, especially the white dude, jeans, basic shoes, in that hood, YOU would assume they couldn't play, just like everyone else there did.
now that i watch these types of videos, it’s insane how much time and effort players like you put into the sport to play at the level you do and how much better you are than normal people
Great video. Those street players have a bad attitude. Basketball is supposed to be a fun game, they're out there being jerks about it on a public court. Way to stick it to 'em.
Organized bball players win all the time because they are use to adapting to a team based on the needs. Park ballers play one way and that is their way.
bigdinlaca no. That’s called skill. Most organized players now days don’t have that unless they have a good coach. Organized players don’t pick up the same bad habits park players do. They make excuses on their game and never try to improve. They are stuck up. Just like you said about em
There‘s so many different levels. „Real organized players“ themselves stand no chance in the NBA, and the average NBA players stand no chance against the likes of Jordan and Magic.
Hey AJ you responded to one of my comments in your older videos regarding your college days, just wanted to let you know I have almost completed my journey of walking on a division one team, still making moves on practice squad, keep exposing fools man, inspiring.
From the looks of it, the guys you played against first should have been on the main-court (not that they were incredible), because it was all straight bums on that 2nd court. Looked like a Senior Citizen YMCA, with dudes who learned their shooting technique from Shawn Marion and Bill Cartwright.
Best boxer, football player, basketball player, hockey player and owner of the biggest dick on the planet are all white dudes bruh, you just the cheerleaders
At Venice Beach, the second court that they play on is where the best players play. That's why they were getting called out by those guys. It's normal to see guys this good there. I remember seeing a guy there hitting Steph Curry distance 3's and fadeaways in sandals. If you think that the guys they played against sucked, it's just the way the video is edited. There is no way that the guys on the 1st court were better... And the reason why they said it took too long and switched back to the 1st court is because there is always a lot of arguing on the second court.
They should have known something was up the minute the white dude split two defenders for the layup. Anyone can hit a lucky three once in a while, but that play made it clear that he'd balled somewhere in the past. Still hilarious though, if for nothing else than those khakis. I don't know how ANYONE can play hoops in those grape-smugglers.
Exactly. Ever wonder why professional players are tall as shit? The rim is closer. Even if he was "just some nerd", every inch they have on you is an inch they don't have to guess.
Venice is wayyy overrated. I used to ball there back in the day (Late 80's) They will play "Buddy Ball" meaning have me rebound and play D, while they take and miss nearly every shot. Memorial Park in Santa Monica was way more intense. College and JC players up there. Maybe still the Wooden Center too (UCLA)
You have to understand that during the winter time, a lot of good ballers from hs on to pros are playing for teams. In most cases, while they are playing for a team, they can't play any basketball outside of their practices or games unless the coaches are aware of it.
