Ultra's biggest (in my opinion) wasted potential is that they diden't made Double Stack mags, with traditional foam darts thats not Very pratical because they tend to deform with use and that can cause jams, but ultra darts are a Lot denser and don't deform a lot, so Double stacking them is a Lot more pratical
Me and a few friends ran a school wide Nerf War with point values for every ammo type. Your 50 cal and short darts worth one point, rival worth two, ultra and mega worth 3. With ultra being inaccurate as well as mega. We thought it was fair to make it worth more
Come for the Endless Bashing of Ultra, Stay for Coop Screaming like a Banshee when he has to Mention the Scream Machine. Great Overview Video as always!
Worth noting: the Amp has an Amazon exclusive reskin called the Focus, which has a red color scheme, stock, a 10 round magazine, and the Accustrike darts. If you wanna get an Amp, I’d say go for that. Obviously it’s more money tho.
I'm a sucker for dual wielding Ultra 2's and I love the Select even if you blow through both mags pretty fast. I'll have to try and track down a Pharaoh at some point. It looks like a ton of fun.
I find it funny how the only two blasters in this series that people care enough to mod are the pharaoh and the ultra 2 and the most popular mods for those two is to upgrade them to use full length or half length darts! The ultra darts suck THAT much for people to mod them out 🤣
I somehow managed to get my hands on Ultra Dorado (Scream Machine's non-US variant, which has the gold theme of the Ultra series) for free from one of my fellow mates at the Res college moved out, and I can't complain about it.
The Ultra series has some reskins including the Dorado, the Scream Machine's reskin and the Focus, AMP's reskin packaged with a new stock, a ten-round magazine, and Accustrike Ultra darts
I still wish this was Hasbro's version of Dart Zone's Pro line. Keep all the same designs and gimmicks, but give the high caliber performance and Half Dart ammo. If they did that, this would probably have been one of the best lines they ever made. The blasters all look fantastic, but they're all saddled with that awful gimmicky ammo type and the series as a whole suffers because of it.
The only downside of the Speed is that you can't tac-reload, since it's designed to just fire all rounds until the mag is empty, and load in a new one.
I think the select comes with accustrike and normal darts so you can use the normal when you’re closer to you opponent and the accustrike for when you’re not.
I know they're still terrible but I always loved the screen machines release and release of refill packs with the screech starts cuz those are always fun to mess around with cuz you can just hear this screech coming out of them as you fire it.
also these are some of my favorite vids on youtube. period. And i know if im intrigued on a certain blaster i can find ur longer vid and enjoy it just as much
Of all the ULTRA blasters, I find the ULTRA Speed probably the best for everything, like, 7 darts per second is incredible for a official nerf blaster. The only blaster surpassing this RoF is the Woozi.
Ultra 2 and Pharaoh are best since the conversion kits are everywhere for them, my Ultra 2 become Mega dart revolver meanwhile pharaoh become half length dart primary
I think Ultra might be the one series that I didn't want any of the blasters - Watching this overview, and yup, still don't want any. If I found the Pharaoh for a couple bucks at Goodwill I might pick it up and paint it, but it would just be a display piece.
Standard Ultra kinda sucks in Ultra blasters, but Accustrikes are pretty good, and they especially become useful in the few hobby springers that can use them, like the Little Rocket. Pretty much on par with short darts. The Ultra blasters are also crazy powerful once you convert them to LiPo and short darts. Fun torpedo dart that isn't necessarily accurate but flies far, and blasters that can be modded well with more standard ammo types. But the combination of the two sucks. Nerf moment.
I know this sounds weird but I personally think the ultra series is the best it's pretty interesting also most of the batterie powered guns how to get revved up a bit before having a average or above average range I personally own a ultra one and I really like it I like the idea of the sonic screamers but what I don't like is that it sometimes just steers away the bullet right before hitting the target
I bought the Ultra Two because it looks cool and I wanted to feel like a cowboy with a magnum revolver. Is it good? No. Is it practical? No. Does it feel really cool to use? Yes. Worth it
The only good ones are Two, Pharaoh and Amp, and all are only good when converted to short darts. Ultra still also has the problem that the darts are way too expensive and some of the blasters have physical locks to prevent you from using them.
Totally unrelated to the video, but just something I remembered happened: how's your eye doing? I remembered you had to get surgery several months ago and that it went well, and I hope your recovery was swift, full, and uneventful.
The Ultra Two is worth looking into even if you don't like Ultra, because there are aftermarket parts that convert it into a higher capacity Elite blaster.
The worst problem with Ultra is the ammo, my friend had a Ultra TWO, but all of his six darts are "broken" because their head fell off. What is that, third party waffle head darts?
