Dante only called him Deadweight once, "ONCE" and Nero is acting like that's the nickname that Dante have bestowed upon him that now he's getting sick from being called that. 😅
@@leawright588 According to the lore I remember, Vergil had the same issue. He REALLY hated being called 'dead weight.' Nero having the same complex as his old man is a bit funny to me.
@@johnsmithfakename8422 yeah, i know that, but it has been a month after you were called like that dude, come on, besides Dante didnt meant it in that way
@@Pipsintheair But think about it. How would you feel if you somewhat looked up to somebody, and they gave you a sword that they entrusted to you, and then the next day, your arm got stolen, the sword is gone, and hell is being raised around you?
@@nathanevans1382 something being legendary isn't really something judge in the moment. You can't tell if somethings a legend if it hasn't had time to become one.
He was so salty about being called a deadweight once that he decides to save the world just to have that comeback at Dante at the end. He really acts like someone in their early 20s
keep in mind that Nero has an imposter syndrome and unresolved trauma that reinforces his self-loath for being "too weak" to save anyone so being called "dead weight" by no less than the person he looks up to and holding on to it for a month is actually realistic and understandable. I guess you could say it "triggered" the Devil in him.
@@fifth6150 A character's Devil Trigger is shaped by their internal perceptions because demons are innately malleable. That's why Dante and Vergil's Devil Triggers look different in each game, that's why Sparda can look differently at times, and that's why Nero's Devil Trigger looks remarkably like the giant Savior statue in DMC4.
@@Nyxlave So you're telling me, in some hypothetical timeline, there is legitimately a possibility of a devil trigger looking like Doomslayer's unicorn suit? Well I'll be damned.
Ever since Credo died, Nero has been insecure about his strength. No wonder Dante, the guy who Nero looked up to as his new guide, calling him Dead Weight made him so angry... I'm so glad he got the development and closure he deserved at the end of DMC6.
If you think about when vergil was v he was a good dad to nero, he told that it ain't true what dante said to him and that he's the only hope that he has alot of power and believe in nero to the bitter end until he came back!!
I didn’t even realize that Nero and Vergil both used the “I can still fight” line when fighting each other. Nero when being called deadweight and Vergil after getting spanked in R2 with his son.
@@legitimatefbr9714As much as funny as it can be, Nero can only be hurt if it comes from Dante. He's supposed to reflect his pettiness against Dante like Vergil. But unlike him, it's out of admiration for him. It hurt him because he likes Dante a lot.
Think the reason why Nero won’t let that nickname go is because he really felt like he was deadweight it ended up becoming a personal struggle, but he will overcome it.
Yes, this was the video I was looking for! Nero was very salty about that comment haha. And you can tell he was waiting the whole game just say that last line, he got his payback.
honestly this is the most realistic depicition of someone getting genuinely offended by a tiny insult the amount of pettiness in his voice when calling him deadweight in the end is so fukn funny
@@RAZONEbe_sep_aiii_0819 Nero is actually very caring and nice. His relationship with Kyrie and Niko is a proof. Then he even stops Dante and Vergil from killing each other. Yes he has a temper, but I know for sure he'd never hurt those he cares about no matter how angry he is.
@@kidprince8578 what your saying is not actually true, yeah Nero did saved Dante and Vergil from killing each other BUT before that he was totally lost that what he should do? IF it wasn't for Kyrie and that Magical telephone booth (magical because it was still working at that much high altitude above the ground) Tell me would Nero would have ever made that move? Ans: No because he is still naive in this type of situations he lacks maturity (Constantly whining about this Deadweight thing in this entire game, so shameful) and often let his anger get the best of him that also happened in DMC4 that's why he get absorbed in the saviour and fails to protect Kyrie. Dante is like Nero's soul because it was always him who saves Nero first (from Urizen two times in this game and also in DMC4) so you can't help it! you have to admit that Nero is just a deadweight without Dante on his side. His loving and caring nature is also mixed with his inferiority and that's his downside. Dante on the other hand suffered much more than Nero, from the death of his parents to the lost of his brother but he always had that humanity inside him (a SELF MOTIVATION which Nero lacks) which is why his character is so loved!, you can find hundreds of tribute videos on youtube just for him and very few for Nero and Vergil, he is also an ICONIC character who always get featured in other games in a separate story (eg MVCI, DMC POC, and the most recent Teppen) no other character in DMC has this level of achievement and never will be. So Dante is a far more better character than Nero, yeah Nero is good too but his inconsistency and inferiority is a bad thing.
@@RAZONEbe_sep_aiii_0819 I never said that Nero is better than Dante, I wholesome agree that Dante is better in almost every way, yet still I feel I can relate to Nero more. And, if he never found that phone and still went after brothers, he might have never recovered his arm, but if he still managed to beat Vergil, I don't think he'd have killed him. Like, I just get a feeling that he wouldn't have. But even if he did, so what? Dante intended to kill Vergil, his own brother, so why Nero can't do it?
I like how every single boss nero fights always talk shit to him and he doesnt give a fuck. Nero only cares when dante calls him a deadweight, and dante wasnt even trying to be mean, hes telling the truth.
Nero's dt awakened since he acknowledged and accepted he's a demon. Probably the reason why he couldnt dt in 4 because he believed only his arm was demon origin and not himself
At first this was very funny but now I feel bad for Nero, he really wanted to help Dante, someone he looks up to, only to get told deadweight by him. Well Dante wasn't wrong and he surely said that just to get Nero away from danger.
Y'know...Nero calling Dante dead weight is cool in the moment... but then you consider that Dante was the only one who beat Urizen, and fought Vergil first. Also considering DMC4 was basically "Dante goes on a wacky vacation."
Sorry but, "I'm baggin' this bitch!" followed immediately by Nero getting smacked like a fly into one of the walls (?) of the tree is fucking hilarious
