Not allowing EMT's to help save wounded K-9s makes no sense, even if you're going to consider those dogs as mere property. K-9s are paid for by the same taxpayers EMT'S are paid by and serve the same taxpayers in the same community. They cost in-between $20-30,000 each by the time they begin service. And yet so far, when they get shot or stabbed defending those taxpayers, they've been told to "take a cab." Who's side have these bureaucrats been on, and don't they know those dogs are keeping THEM safe, too? It goes beyond stupidity and ingratitude to a low-grade form of treason to deny K-9s human treatment when they should be getting hero treatment.
