Great video! Thank you for the tips. Another cleaning tip: if the head with the needles is stuck and will not rotate, spray it with water and gently clean it with a toothbrush until it spins freely again and do a clear water brew.

Thanks for saving me time trying to figure out the purpose of Bluetooth connection. I was hoping it did a lot more and am disappointed but it’s not why I bought the machine.
The wifi purpose is probably to push software updates over time when needed. Lets say they add a new capsule format for example. Instead of buying a new machine, the one you have will be updated and you’ll be able to use those new coffee formats. I recently changed my nespresso because I wanted the carafe size capsules.
Hi, I have found your video and the accompanying text most helpful. In fact you give more information than Nespresso do !! I thought it was just me that found the Bluetooth facility useless but apparently not.
The WiFi and Bluetooth should be able to automate a coffee at a specific time provided a capsule and water / cup is present. Maybe a future smart feature? “Hey goodie make me a coffee”
yeah, exactly... should be easy to make a machine like this, especially with what is seemingly a microprocessor controlled device. (the button is a clue)
This is the fix I use all the time. I called Nespresso for help quite a few times. Now I just make sure the blades spin before every cup so I never get the orange light anymore.

I beg to differ about the Bluetooth. As I have head is that your vertuo machine firmware can be updated in the future via this setting . So there are specific features as to why Bluetooth is needed 👍

I agree - the app is useless. It's just a data grab for Nespresso - they want to know what you're drinking and when and how often and where. Helps them with ads. Doesn't make the coffee taste better. Would be cool if you could control the machine from a phone, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
u need connection to Wifi because if one day nespresso creatres a bew cspsule, with a new lenght and features, u can uodate the software and the vertuo machine will be able to read the new capsule....
Thanks for the info about cup settings. Even though my Nespresso branded cup is the right size for the lungo capsule, it flows over. I will attempt this and see if it solves this problem, instead of pushing the button to stop it every time I want coffee.
My daughter just bought me this machine and it has left us frustrated. Although we could pair the app with the coffee maker via Bluetooth and wi-fi there doesn't appear to be any additional screens on the app. We have tried resetting the machine and reloading the app but we have been unsuccessful. I'm find finding this machine unnecessarily complicated.
If there is a problem during the machine operation, the app shows the corresponding error code in your cellphone. Thats handy when trying to diagnose a problem.
Do you have a link to this? Because I don't think this is true. The big issue was the smoothness of the crema, this is the big factor that's still preventing me from buying Next vs Plus
Hiiii I have a question for you that you Might have an answer to! When I insert my pod and lock the lid, when I press the button to brew , it blinks orange twice and then goes back to a white steady light. I’m not sure why it does that. Any suggestions? 💕
Just open the lid and close it again, then press start. I’ve had that happen to me a number of times. IF that doesn’t work, it means you need to run a clean water brew. Hope that helps.

I dont have home internet so how do I use my phone bluetooth/hotspot to sync to the machine? When I click on venus it says app is needed for this device so what app do I need because I have the nespresso app
Did you ever find out if restoring the sizes had to be done individually? Or does pressing the button 5 times just retore ALL sizes back to their default setting?
can brew temperature be calibrated with the app ? firmware upgrade ? or does it need to be shipped to magimix factory ? my NEXT coffee is way to cold, below 60-65 Celsius on my new machine, how do i fix this ?
Can anyone help? I've got the same machine. First time use - tried to run the rinse mode and normal coffee run and I am getting the double orange blinking light. I've tried everything from lots of videos but no fix!!
My problem with connecting my machine with the App is that it pairs without problem, but can't get it to connect to my Wifi properly. I write down my password, and it says it's been connected succesfully. But when i go back, it says that it's not connected to Wifi. If i want to do the prosess over again, the app asks me to reset my machine. The cycle repeats indefinately.
No. But I have read reports that Nespresso is discontinuing that model due to all the problems with it. If you find one on deal, grab it, if it breaks within the warranty Nespresso will replace it with a different model.
It's possible it's not producing enough pressure to pump out the water, or there's a possible blockage preventing complete water flow... you may have to call Nespresso.
There’s not a refillable capsule that I know of, BUT you can refill these capsules time and time again. You just have to buy the little foil stickers for the top (really cheap) and once you’ve cut away the original foil and cleaned out the coffee, they are quite easy to fill, cover with a new foil stickers and bam - ready to reuse with the correct sku still on the bottom edge of the capsule. Such a money saver.
There is one on Amazon, but when I read the reviews people indicated that it only worked reliably on one size--the 7 oz. I believe. It's also pricey as it is metal.
Question,,, Thank you for the Video!! I like the idea of cleaning the machine. However when it starts a clear water flow, and I hit the stop button, instead of it still blinking for a few seconds and then stopping, it Stops Immediately, and this leaves water in the round pod holder??? Any Ideas??
ohh... i'm not really sure why it does that... unless,... are you pressing the button three times to indicate 'cleaning' ? If you're only pressing it once, then it's just running a normal brew, and pressing the button is just pausing/stopping the brew - perhaps? Sorry I can't be much help. I hope you figured it out.
The machine automatically turns off after 2 minutes. If you want to turn it off yourself immediately after using it, hold the button for 3 seconds. Hope it helps.
What bar is that machine we are looking for 19 bar machine because the more bar on the machine the better the coffee and the higher bar machine means you get the full pod to empty if you get a lot of coffee in the empty box part the mean you have a low bar machine no coffee in the empty box that good that means the machine is at lest 15 bar plus
Not exactly sure what you mean, but Nespresso pods are all different sizes, if you use a bigger pod size then the machine will 'read' it and empty all the pod, not just half or some of it. (unless you have programmed it like I showed in the video.) All of Nespresso pods have different level of strength and flavour.
@@daysofgrace2934 you got it, to make a coffee the pressure on the machine is important you need between 3 > 15 // bar, the the highest bar nespresso m.c is 19 bar on all the vertuo m.c. some of the pods ues 6bar and some pods ues 15bar it which flavour pod you like = a good coffee, so when buy your vertuo m.c look at the bar pressure on the m.c the higher bar the more expensive the m.c the cheapest mc have no pressure for a 19 bar vertuo mc will cost 190 and the gravity vertuo mc you can get for 39.00
@@johnmorley55ify TBH honest these machines Nespresso, Tassimo, Dolce Gusto they all will be a bit of a muchness. I also have Dolce Gusto. The problem with these is the coffee is not freshly roasted when it arrives in your hands - it's a couple of months old. For my La Pavoni I can buy coffee roasted that week from the Monmouth Coffee shop.
Hi, don't know if you manage to get it to work, but sometimes I notice that when I put the pod in and press start, nothing happens, and it's a white light. I have to open and close the lid and then press the button and it starts to work. Let us know if you got it to work!
I am already very disappointed with this machine and I have not made my first coffee yet. First machine was dead on arrival, spent hours troubleshooting Second machine, worked, Bluetooth refuses to connect Then I tried to make a coffee, turned on, open to invert pod, the pot prongs catch, so to insert the pod, I have to stick my fingers inside to move the latch... Stuff this, it will go back to the shop
