I’m so grateful for RU-vidrs like this who share tips on repairs for electrical goods. I hate how wasteful products have become with planned obsolescence built into the design. Should be illegal on grounds of ecology if nothing else

Thank you for sharing. I didn’t realise this was a regular issue. They charge you so much for these machines only to find it is all plastic inside. Might as well get the cheap machine and get a separate steamer. Your photos and explanation was extremely helpful!

Glad you found it useful. I asked a coffee repair man what machine he would recommend i.e. something that would last a lifetime. His advice was to go with something Italian and made of steel.

Thanks for helping me fixing a valve problem on a machine from 2019! 20 minutes of work (plug & play), one new Ceme 3 way 2 bar valve (reused a part of the old) and the price was 1/10 of a new machine!

Thanks for posting this guide. Ive previously paid for nespresso repair as the heater failed. Ive now had leaking from the base and steam coming out of the base. Followed your guide, thankfully it was loose pipes. All good now. 👍

Hi Enda. Thanks for doing this. It's the most informative overview of the cause of the leak in this machine. I will go check if it's the same component that is causing the leak in my machine.

Thank you for your help. Mine broke down with the same issue. , But like you said the cost of the machine made with plastic parts, losing customer confidence in buying Nespresso machines ever again.

Sounds like my machine might have a similar problem. Steam is coming out the bottom, and water is leaking. Thanks for the video . I'll have a go at opening the machine.

Damn this is a bummer mine just started leaking. This appears to be a quality issue with the Creatista, Nespresso needs to address this and offer replacement parts to the public at a minimum.

Unfortunately I suspect you will have to send it back and pay the repair fee. The component parts seem to have a lifespan on them. Nothing is built to last. Drop your video in the comments here. I would be curious to see how you get on. Best of luck with it

Driving me mad trying to find out why. Thanks for the video. My weird one is this seems to leak if I use L’Or but not Nespresso or Starbucks by Nespresso. This is actually with a nearly new machine. So going to go to Starbucks capsules as will not pay the crazy Swiss made Nespresso capsules. Again thanks for the heads up.
@endacarolan
@endacarolan Год назад
Hope you figure it out. The capsules just get pierced at the top in order to allow the water to interact with the coffee. If your one leaks with non Nespresso capsules I assume it's because they aren't built for the machine. The top might get pierced too much or not enough and the excess water might show up in places it shouldn't.

Hi I'm looking at buying this machine but the water is leaking into the pod collection holder. Is this an easy fix for a bargain? Thanks
@endacarolan
@endacarolan 4 месяца назад
I would guess the water pump is gone. You can't buy the parts yourself so you need to send it back to the manufacturer for them to look at it. Depending on where you are based the cost will vary. I would guess about ~$150 to sort it... Just a guess though

My brew head might be blocked, one time it will work fine then next time it leaks 30-40% into the pod tray. I have descaled & run cleaning pods through the machine, everytime I think I'm on a winner it stuffs up again, to me seems like a blockage & the water take the easy path into the pod tray

Mine died completely and ended up needing a new circuit board, I paid for Nespresso to fix it. It's now pooling water underneath, so I'm wondering if they fixed the board but didn't fix the cause of it dying in the first place...
@endacarolan
@endacarolan 8 месяцев назад
Yeah it sounds like your board died because of the water damage. That changed the board but didn't look at the cause of the damage. You should stop using it and give them a shout asap.

Hi Mate. Good video thanks. I haven't managed to get the base off yet though as, although the screws are out I am attempting a gently prise in an attempt to seperate the base but there's a lot of resistance and I stop, incase the clips you describe break. I can't see any good seperation happening and the clips seem to be grabbing firmly. Is there any chance you can tell me more about where the clips are and what side they release, and just generally how to go about the process a bit more please. Thanks a lot in advance.
@endacarolan
@endacarolan 2 года назад
Hi Paul, there is a bit of resistance in removing them. You are best off putting in two or three plastic levers at once at different sections of the base and gently moving all 3 of them at once in order to spread the strain on the plastic. You will hear a pop as one pops out. Manoeuver the levers to other parts of the base until you get resistance and do the same again. Unfortunately my machine is still out getting repaired so I can't shoot you a video of me taking it apart. Best of luck with it
@oshkosk

@@endacarolan Thanks a lot. I’ll attempt to get some of the levers you describe as I can’t imagine it’s possible with my small flat blade screwdriver. Cheers

You can also try to open the machine and check if the filter is full. I have removed the bottom part (some screws), then removed the side parts (just pull gently at the bottom and slide it up). Then pop the back using the 2x3 clamps. The front piece can be moved forward a little bit, by popping the two top clamps. Then you can pop the top by pushing the six clamps (three on both sides) of the transparant part. Then pry of the cover near the lever, so you can wiggle the top part over the lever the remove it. Then remove the 4 screws and pop the clip that holds the water-tube. This should allow you to take out the brewing part. Then remove the actual "filter". I need to twist it a bit and it popped out. You can then clean it and make sure all the holes are open. Thay may also help you out...

I can see a tube is loose on mine. I can't get the side panel off. How did you do that?
@danielconstant6218
@danielconstant6218 Год назад
I can get the base off fine.
@endacarolan
@endacarolan Год назад
It pops off with a little bit of coaxing. Use a number of levers at once to spread pressure on the side panel. Don't be afraid of breaking it. If the tube is loose it's already not working 👍

@@endacarolan thank you! I just called the nespresso support, which was superb! They’re having me send it back (sending me a box) and charged $65 USD - I’m not sure if that includes the repair, or if it’s just the intro cost to look at it. Either way I’m assuming it can’t be over 200 to fix which is still ok considering it’s a 600$ machine. I’ll report back when I’m done with the whole deal.
@Ripdizzle01
@Ripdizzle01 10 месяцев назад
They fixed my machine for $65, that included shipping to and from. No other charges- repaired the heating element due to leaking. Seems to work properly… They also cleaned the wand and were able to unstick the tip of the steamer, which was stuck for 2 years.
@endacarolan
@endacarolan 10 месяцев назад
@@Ripdizzle01 seems like a good result. I generally submerged the wand in hot water after a milk steam for about 10min. It shouldn't block if you use the pin provided with the machine and submerged it in water regularly.
@Ripdizzle01

Also one thing I’ll point out was this was Nespresso fixing, not Breville. I signed up for the Breville support, and they sent me to nespresso. The support was excellent.

Hi Ian, I am having the same issue. What I did is start running the coffee, and then slightly lift up the handle. I could see water squirting out the top of the part that goes over the cup. This then poured down into the cup holder. I'm going to try to open the machine to have a better look, and like enda send pictures to Nespresso to see if they can fix the machine. One of the signs I saw before I noticed the squirting water was that the part was covered in white scale on the top, I should have realised at that moment it was from the water leaking there.
@endacarolan
@endacarolan 2 года назад
@@icehzo you could get lucky when you open it up. There are cable ties holding some hoses in place. Hopefully one of those has come off and you can fix it yourself. If you need to return it then sending pictures and getting confirmation that they can fix it will give you peace of mind that's it's money well spent. If you don't hear from them after about 2 weeks then give them a shout and ask for a due date. I pressed them for a date and they have me a new machine as they had a parts supply chain issue.
