Just received this machine. Makes great coffee. The above video shows a simple one handed locking of the machine. We need to use two hands and A LOT of force to close ours. Is there something wrong with ours? There’s no way an older person could use it!

Good luck calling them! I’ve called twice and been on hold over an hour. Last Tuesday they were going to call back within an hour....still waiting! Sometimes I don’t think the machine will ever open/close!

Purchased and I can say you get what you pay for; I am spoiled because I have had the Vertuo Plus which recently started leaking after 6 month purchase; got the "next" and it isn't the same at all. Locking needs a bit of muscle... loud...

Interesting the video doesn't show the actual flow of water going into their crema fill cup. My Nespresso Next is temperamental and the coffee has never been hot enough. About every 6th pod I need to run the clean cycle. This is probably because I reseal previously used Vertuo pods - as their decaf doesn't taste as good as my Peet's Mocha Java. I put 13gr of med/fine burr ground coffee into a Nespresso Fudge capsule. There's about 1/2 cup of water/coffee in the overflow/used pod reservoir after every use. Will try using 12gr and see if this eliminates the overflow into the bin. Or maybe it's time to invest in a 'real' espresso/coffee machine? (- ;

@@EmilyAnnShaheen dont but it tho. Buy the other version. Whenever you open the machine after use, the water that condenses are trapped in the lid and poors out on the table. I have had mine for a month. I hate it. :/

What's the point of the bluetooth and wifi? Can you start it remotely? Please tell me it's not as loud as the Vertuo dome top version.

Hi Mike, the technology allows you to run remote software updates via the Nespresso app, will alert you of operating issues, water tank levels and descaling reminders, features machine assistance videos, displays machine details like the serial number, allows for a factory reset via the app and provides the option to delete it if you dispose of the machine.

@@nespresso Can you at least remotely "warm it up" so when you get to it, it's ready to go? Also I noted that you didn't comment on the noise level. I would strongly recommend publishing decibel levels by machine .... going from the original capsule to the Vertuo, it's been one of the most disappointing parts of it. The sheer level of volume in the morning when others are trying to sleep.

Hi Mike, the Vertuo Next is not designed to start remotely. It will be similar in noise level to a Vertuo unless the Vertuo is having a technical issue. If you are concerned your machine is not operating correctly please call us at 1-800-562-1465 for troubleshooting assistance.

@@murattasdemir8976 I've had it for about 4 months now and it is significantly more quiet than the older version. I've never used the bluetooth/wifi features. Not needed. I am happy with it. Use it 4x per day at least

Mine just straight up doesn't work. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. (Yes -it's full of water, the light is solid, I have clicked the button five times within three seconds to 'reset it', tried new pots...) I just dk

Try spinning to centrofusion part with the sharp prongs on the inside of the top, every once and a while mine won’t brew and making sure it spins freely works every time to fix it

Mine stopped working after 15 month. We phoned the technical support line 3 times, not helpful at all, and asking $125 to fix. Be aware.

This was an impulse buy since I got tired of trying to figure out my new method of coffee and espresso making ... uggh .. not a fan .. the pods the extraction ... none of it is great except I love the aeroccino milk frother. Just what I needed a $200+ USD milk frother 🤯

This coffee is good but I am visiting a family member and this machine is quite complicated. The unlock is indeed hard and when your waking up, tired and just want a cup of coffee, simple is always best. The good ole pot, or pour over is fantastically easy. If you make it that simple you would have more customers of convenience. The cups are you money maker but surely you could make a simple inexpensive machine.

The head of the Vertuo Next is a bit lifted/angled after the capsule is ejected. Is this the correct way to leave it or should I close the head like when I have put in a capsule to brew a cup? In the videos it looks like the head locks 100% horizontally.

Incorrect amount of coffee comes out everytime (a very small amount) - have to push the button twice just to get the cup to below halfway (standard size mug). Any ideas how to fix this? I am using 230ml capsules...

I just got my machine recently, I’m in the US. It isn’t reading the correct code and brewing the wrong amount. For example, the double expresso is brewing 8 ounces. How do I fix this? Very frustrating. Also, how do I recycle the pods?

I just received this machine approximately two weeks now. I have yet to get a full cup of coffee from this machine. It is loud and very hard to use. The instruction are not very through and difficult to understand. What determines the amount of coffee that goes into the cup? I have wasted capsules trying to figure it out. I will be returning mine.

I got this machine a week ago and still trying to figure out how to put the right amount for my cup. I wish it's that simple. I don't mind following instructions but the instructions in the video only tells you to press the buttons if you want to top up which I've tried several times and didn't happen. So disappointing :(

So many negative reviews, wow. My wife just bought us the Next and I can see what all the complaining is about. Very complicated and not covered well in the manual. We're talking about returning it. I printed out the Next manual - they don't give you the specific manual for your version - and at least I was able to make a cup, but it wasn't nearly as much as I like to make with my Keurig. I held the button until it looked like only water was coming out. It tasted good, but it's too much work for so little coffee. I think the Virtuo designers made some major design mistakes. Jury is out until we can get everything working (wifey wants froth so I have to figure that out), but it's not looking good at this point. If I have to call customer service to figure this out, that's major bad and I refuse to wait long waits on the phone. We're just as happy to go back to Keurig because it works. What a shame.

@@nespresso I don't reach out to customer service when the product is this difficult and we can get a good cup of coffee from our Keurig. I'm in the USA. Maybe our expectations were too high. Is it true that we cannot get a 12oz cup of coffee from these pods? I held the button down this morning for about 1 minute on a medium size pod and not only was the coffee luke warm, but it was rather watered down. What is the machine good for?

Hi Thorne. For a longer pour, we recommend brewing your favorite selection. After the brew cycle is complete, press and release the button to add water, and press and release again once the desired volume is poured. @@nespresso Add water? Why would I do that? I want coffee, not diluted coffee. I don't think I understand your suggestion, or you don't understand my issue. I want the strong coffee these pods provide, but I want a 12-14oz strong coffee, not a weak coffee.

I bought this machine for my dad for Christmas and he loves the coffee, but the auto eject of the pods isn’t working. It doesn’t pick up the pod and dispose of it when opened. This isn’t a huge deal but for the price I would expect it to do so. Is there a simple fix that can be done?

Well..turns out this machine wouldn't work as the pod had been pierced ..so it worked only once I changed to another pod...

I just recently purchased this because my wife insisted she wanted it. I had a Keurig before and boy does this Nespresso SUCK in comparison! There is not a single this thing that I am satisfied with in comparison. No exaggeration It is about 3-4x’s louder, which is not good since that I wake up at 5 am. The coffee is terrible, it takes way too long, gets really confusing at times, the pods are more expensive and harder to find plus the unit itself was more expensive. I am genuinely dissatisfied with this purchase. Should’ve stuck with my Keurig.

Sorry but I can’t see that this is progress, it’s like going backwards compared to the Vertuo Plus. Seriously what coffee machine needs Bluetooth and WiFi to make a coffee? This machine requires full manual operation, where’s the sense in that.

Bought this machine for our caravan, our first pod machine. The coffees that came with it are at best a couple are drinkable the rest should be never made. The pods are expensive for what you get so I was really hoping for a better result. I am trying PodStar alternative but so far this has been less than satisfactory. I doubted these machines as they are cheep and now I know why, low cost low quality.

All these capsules and pods. First off, you guys only do that to make money off the consumer because now they have to buy the capsules only for this machine. Secondly, nobody who is enthusiastic about coffee will buy a machine that uses pods or capsules. Lastly, I’m thinking about buying a coffee maker that is recommended by the SCAA.

I don't see it that way and I don't think anyone who buys a machine does either. You only buy the machine if you want to drink Nespresso's extremely wide range of high quality coffee. If you don't want to drink their coffee you don't buy their machine. It's very simple. Also to get an amazing quality espresso shot with the finest (cafe/restaurant level) crema (the machines are 19-bars of pressure and consistently produce the finest crema, with no effort). Also, many people I know who are enthusiastic about coffee drink Nespresso coffee. As for the capsules, it's arguable whether Nespresso coffee being in capsules reduces the quality. First they start with very fresh coffee beans..and the coffee goes into the capsules immediately after grinding so it doesn't lose any freshness or aromas etc, and the capsules are vacuum sealed and hermetically sealed, sealing in the freshness and aromas. coffee you buy at a store is not in an airtight container so a lot of the freshness and aroma is lost. And even before packaging a lot of beans sit in warehouse for a long time and lose freshness. I guess it is just how you look at it. The capsules are 100% recyclable and they have a great program, but I'm sure a lot of people don't recycle so for me that's the only down side. I drink both brewed and Nespresso coffee, and I make sure to recycle. With that said, Nespresso's espresso is better than the coffee imo, and that's mostly what I use it for...to make cappuccinos, lattes, and mochas.

wow a bit bitter Sir, aren't we lol This is one of the best coffee's I have had in a very long time. Coming from Europe I have a big appreciation for good coffee . My last coffee I had in Europe came from an authentic Italian coffee /espresso maker and was authentic to this one. So, yes this is a great coffee maker and obviously anyone that understands about good coffee will agree.
