It's official! You can now watch Netflix on your Echo Show devices!
UPDATE: The latest update, now allows ZOOM MEETINGS on the Show 8, (Sorry, it's not available for Show 5 yet). And if you pair your email with an official Zoom link, you only ave to say "Join the Meeting" and it will follow the link. Otherwise, say Open Zoom, and enter your credentials.
It's not just the New Echo Show 10 Amazon has been hyping since Prime Day, that will play Netflix, (not that Amazon is advertising this fact). LOL There are links below, for the items we've discussed. They don't cost you any more, but they do help out the channel if you use our links. Thanks for checking out another Smarthome Riggs video.
A new update has been quietly released in the past week, (to the Echo Show 5 first, and then the Show 8 devices. And now that we're up from 3035 to 3048, the Echo Show 5 and Echo Show 8 BOTH can leverage the Netflix app, as well as the Show 10s, (old and new).
So if you've been checking for updates on this as well, (since they announced the new Show 10 would do this) or asking regularly for your Echo Show to "play Netflix, (or selecting it from the Video menu, only to hear Alexa inform you "I can't do that on this device..."). Then your days of waiting are over. After my Echo Show 5 quietly got a new update, I noticed it had the option to see Netflix, but before I logged in, I thought "Let's make a video and spread the word..." Hope you enjoy...

I just purchased a echo show 5 third generation and it will not load nexflix or update to what I need

You can still pair the show with the firestick in the TV/Video section of the Alexa app (as described in the video) but if you ask the Show to play a video it will play on the firestick instead of the Show's built in display. I also like the option of selecting the controllers & Bluetooth > Other Bluetooth Devices > Add Bluetooth Devices, Then tell your Echo Show to "Pair with my device" and the Show will put itself in Bluetooth pairing mode and tell you what name to look for in the device list of your firestick. Select that device to pair it and then you can play the sound through the Show speaker instead of the TV speakers. I use this when it is late and I don't want to wake anyone. I play the sound at a lower volume from the show that is close to me instead of the TV that's across the room. If you have the FireTV Voice Remote Pro you can press the headphone button (upper right) and switch between any of your Bluetooth paired audio options. I currently have the 4 options for sound (TV, Bluetooth headphones, Show 8 or Echo Studio.) I hope this answers your question and gives you more options to make your smart home work for you. Asegúrese de que su software esté actualizado (Configuración > Opciones del dispositivo > Buscar actualizaciones de software). Deslícese hacia abajo desde la parte superior y seleccione "Video". Can I download Netflix on the 2nd generation echo show????? How or what can I do to get Netflix on mines????

If you tell your device to "Open Video Home" it should open a page and show you all video services that are available on your specific device. On the Gen 2 Show 5 that list should include FireTV Channels, Prime Video, Netflix, RU-vid, Bing, TikTok, Red Bull TV, and Tubi. I reset to factory settings on the device again just now. And now netflix is working!!! Number is 3050.

That’s awesome. Glad it’s working out. If you have the Show8, Zoom should also work for you. If you call up Zoom, (you can sign in if you ha e an account and join meetings). If you tie your Gmail calendar to Alexa, and have an official Zoom meeting on your calendar, you can just say “Join Meeting” and it will look at your calendar for the Zoom ID and password and just join.

I followed all the steps you mentioned apperantly the device can't be updated because has the latest version and still netflix is not working

Are you using the Silk Browser, it didn't work with Firefox when I first did it, but after changing to Silk it worked like a charm.

Is yours a Show 5 or Show 8? Because I have a both, (as well as ones I've got for family members). But like I was replying to Lesli earlier, 1 of them had an issue at first, but I reset it to factory settings and tried again, and it resolved the update issue and is working properly as well. Amazon Prime, Netflix, and RU-vid (and also Tubi) are available on the Show 5, but Hulu is not yet available for this device. They've teased that it might be in the future, but in the latest update, it's still not available. Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and comment on the this video. Checked today as I wanted to go the reset route nut the echo show 5 had already updated, netflix is working! We have one echo spot, sw level 5.5.4.3. No updates available for that one, netflix does not work on it. If it would work it must be quite painful to watch on the tiny screen 😲
