WOW The Wither castle was filmed at my place in Ogrodzieniec! I have been there many times at this castle, I wish I had known about it before. Well done @Framestore

This is so incredible I have so much respect for fellow VFX Artists especially from Framestore, Well done guys on another amazing project.

Whoever scouted the locations of The Witcher did a fantastic job. They were beautiful! From Aretuza, to all of the scenery in episode 6, the location of Sodden Hill and that gorgeous desert scene with Yennefer and Queen Kalis. The special effects when Ciri is in the desert with that beautiful tree, Brokilon Forest. 😍❤️👌🏾

For a TV Series it was mind-blowing like what they can offer to viewers great work framestore and team

Check out each frames at 3:57; when he throws the sword. You can see the CG sword appears to be thrown from a lower portion than his wrist was.

I've heard this first season got a nice budget(around 80mln dollars), but the use of cgi and vfx is tremendous here, although they decided to use as less as possible to keep everything more realistic. Maybe the cgi is not the best on tv, but for a first season it's still impressive and they needed it because this is high fantasy, so they've wise on rationing. I'm sure Season 2 will have an even bigger budget, can't wait honestly.

Hello VFX Wizzards i have a question because I dont understand here something. At 3:24 there is a hdri sphere and the color palette. That sphere looks real, but the image of the tower still reflects on it? I dont understand. Thank you.

A lot of the vague ground smoke & haze makes otherwise excellent shots look much cheaper.

Oh my god! How shity is this sword fight scene. I thought Netflix gave it to Indian CG junior students. This blood effects with wrong lights, this Ae masking hands, this wrong directions of scars, this swords with lost tracking points... omg terrible. Боже ты мой! Какая же дерьмовая эта сцена боя на мечах. Я думал, что Netflix дал это индийским младшим студентам CG. Эта кровь с неправильном освещении, эти кривые маски в Ae на конечности, неправильные направления шрамов, эти мечи с потерянными трекингами... просто ужасно.

Who did the CGI? Was it the guys who did The Scorpion King, because I think the budget went to Cavil's pay cheque.

You can build an entire city, people desolving, and yet can't make one decent dragon. Probably because of time, money, and or bad directing/cinematography.

Сделать крутую графику, чтобы потом всё покрасить в чёрное и ни*уя не видно.

Some of the CGI effects in this series is straight out of a B rated movie like I can't forget that dragon scene and many more where it made me cringe of how fake and obvious it was.

Yuck, so much fckn CGI, amd it stuck out like a sore thumb. Might as well forget real actors, locations and sets, just throw some green paint on a wall and film it in your basement.
