I'm not a course creator that will simply turn on the screen recording and ramble, then call that teaching. I meticulously plan _every_ module and lesson to _maximize the learning and value_ for the student. To that end, it takes me a while to put together courses. If I'm going to dedicate the time, resources, and energy to putting this full course together, I need to know that there is enough interest in the full course. I'm rating that by how wide a reach this series achieves. *If you are interested in seeing the full course developed, then the best way to bring that to fruition is to spread the word about this content* . By itself it already conveys _a lot_ of value. So sharing even just the 7 lessons (13 videos) in this series will surely help whoever you share it with. Plus ... many online communities would greatly benefit from these videos. Think of all the Internet points you could acquire if you shared this series (karma, likes, follows, etc.) 😉 Use this link to share the full series: ru-vid.com/group/PLIFyRwBY_4bRLmKfP1KnZA6rZbRHtxmXi Also, if you share it on Twitter or LinkedIn, please tag me =): twitter.com/ed_pracnet/ www.linkedin.com/in/eharmoush/
@@ishan1095 Yes! Well, sort of. Routers and Hosts are very similar. More details in the Router lesson: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AzXys5kxpAM.html
Your site says the first module is for free, what about other modules? if other modules/full course are paid, I would like to buy (i.e. in Udemy or directly from your site)
Man am a programmer and helps it sometimes when I watch your vids I realize how much I forgot over the years our jobs looks really easy but really tiny details makes hours of work disappear watching your videos makes me time travel to university for that I really want to thank you cus I felt that excitement and nervous feeling once more and it's verry easy to say when u work with computers servers etc everyday it's becoming boring but after I watch your video I become the teenager that has a big dreams tnx
I just completed the Networking Fundamentals course. I'm returning to video 1 to say this was a great course and I'm happy I took the time to go through it. Great teacher. Thank you.
I just wanted to dropped some love on this video! Ironically I am watching it on it’s one year anniversary for the 15th time! Every time I rewatch these videos I learn something new or at least I gain a different perspective of networking. Hands down this video series is definitely one of the best on RU-vid! THANKS 🙏🏾 1000x!
I am from development background and networks were always a mystery....after watching this one, I feel confident I have landed at right place. Thank You Very Much :)
Thank you you so much for compiling all the lessons and sharing them. I am looking for a career change and I am new to IT. I am currently taking to the Google IT Support Certification course. It is rather a challenge for a newcomer like myself. I feel like all the videos I watch are just scripted and the "instructor" is just reading what's been put in front of him. There really isn't much of an explanation or clear and concise understanding of whats going on. Your videos have been helping me understand these concepts further, esepcially your subnetting mastery videos! My google "instructor" was awful at explaining what subnetting is. You are the best! Thank you again!
Thank you for the kind note. =). I'm glad this content has helped w/ your Google Certification journey. Could you do me a favor? Do you mind sharing this video on Linked In, Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, or any other social media you use? As an independent creator, that would be an _enormous_ help, and I would appreciate it _greatly_ .
Bro I am also taking the google IT support for network and security certification. Small world. I'm also making a switch at 42 yrs old, lol. Good luck brother. Hope to see you in the field.
@PracticalNetworking I don't use social media, but I will definitely spread the word on your channel, subbed! Thank you for the videos. They are helping to better understand and at least get better prepared to help others in the field.
Although I'm not a network engineer, I'm a computer engineer with more than 30 years of exposure in the field (I started early when I was 16). I wanted a refresher on networks that would start from scratch. Thank you for these videos. This was what I was looking for. Keep up the excellent work!
I've come here after completing the whole playlist. I'm amazed by your teaching skills. You are really a great teacher. I've watched other networking videos are of awesome quality with huge number of views. But I've to admit that your videos are best of the best. I am really grateful to you. Thanks a ton for this comprehensive course and wonderful organizations of course materials.
I recently decided to go back into IT (Data communications and networking) being my Major back in college days, I must say your videos and lesson taught me all that my college lecturers failed to do for 4years. Job well done
I have gone through some of your videos and I have to admit that you are the best in explaining THIS task. I am studying for my CCNA exam. It would be great if you create a full course for CCNA. And I wish you were my teacher.
Hi again, FC, thank you for the kind words. Every few months I toy with the idea of doing a full CCNA course. Who knows =) In the mean time, I've compiled all of my CCNA related content at this link: www.practicalnetworking.net/index/ccna/ (I also have a couple suggestions for full CCNA courses at that link).
I am enrolled at WGU for Software Engineering. I know nothing about IT. Their intro to Networking and Security course work isn't the best. These videos are the only reason I understand the content. Thank you so much! Also the speed in which these video are made, are great for someone with ADHD because I can stay engaged.
Its always a joy when teachers of a discipline understand the common areas of confusion and navigate around them in their explanations Its like an art... well done!
I have studied philosophy and I recently decided to enroll in a retraining course in order to become a security officer, and these videos are brilliant. Many thanks!
You are a true legend. the way you makes this so interesting is out of this world, I've watched videos about networking and let me tell you anyone who misses your courses really is missing a lot. I'm a piping engineer had a Cisco CCNA couses in 2018 through netacademy and now wanted to return to networking, your courses are so Great and helpful ❤❤❤❤
This is truly amazing. Thorough and at the same time simple explanations. This is a rare combination and is very much appreciated. Possibly one of the best networking basics tutorials you can find right now.
I have come to find out that I am a visual learner, I am prepping for the ISC2 CC exam and got confused in this part .. everything I read seemed like gibberish .. Thank you for this video as its clearing up all that clouded my mind. I love you so much and Whatever you believe in bless you.
This course is a godsend! Im an engineering student taking network and security, your course helped me really understand the OSI & TCP/IP models. I passed my exam thanks to you. You’re an amazing teacher 🙌
this guy is the best teacher of anything I've ever come across on RU-vid, if would've had him for a regular instructor in the classroom I would have been so far ahead I'm sure.
I've majored in Geography and Environment but I've always been into networking so after graduation I've decided to prepare for CCNA. I've studied a little bit about networking in 12th but that's about it. Your videos are quite helpful, easy to catch.
Even with the first video I've played so far it is clear that they way you have presented the information with examples is helpful to understanding the information. Thank you.
I have no background in technology, and I would like to chance career. I have done some reading about networking and nobody explains like this guy. Amazing!
I am a software tester by profession. I wanted to switch into the networking field. I was very confused about where to start. Should I join any classes or something. Today my husband found your channel on RU-vid (he was also studying about the same) and sent me the link. And I have completed 2 videos as of now. But God it was very simple and easy to understand. Too good ❤ you probably save me some money 😂 we both have subscribed to your channel. Thank you so much ❤
One of the best videos on YT trust me I watch them all!!!! Very well put together and the way topics are explained, its great from beginners pre course training! Thank you!
ThankYOU sir, you make this course much easier to understand, i love the way that you break it down and make it simple... I've subscribed just by watching this one video, hope your channel grows ever more!
I was searching to understand networking fundamentals and I watched the first video. Simply it is short and definitive and can be easily learn. I thank the author of this very useful videos and I hope many more will be coming.😊😊😊
Glad you enjoyed it, Ciise. Don't forget to check out the rest of the videos in the Networking Fundamentals series: ru-vid.com/group/PLIFyRwBY_4bRLmKfP1KnZA6rZbRHtxmXi
This is unbelievably good. I cannot believe you are putting this up for free. My recommendation is to put some of this behind a paywall otherwise freeloaders will steal your content.
Thank you for the kind words. If I make a full Networking course, I'll put that behind a paywall. But I really want to be able to give away the basics for free, and show the world what high quality training can look like. =)
Just watched a single video here and i know ill like this, questioc: did you ever complete the full course? where can i purchase it? Does it prepare me for any network cert?
Are you preparing for CCNA? I've decided to start with these videos after that I'll just start some other CCNA playlists.(there's one with 118 videos I'll try that one)
Awesome, Raymond. Glad you enjoyed the video. Good luck w/ the CCNA. There are more free resources available here: www.practicalnetworking.net/index/ccna/
Great job! I wish I had found this resource earlier! I see everyone thanking him but the biggest thanks would be to sign up for the early course on his website in order to encourage him to complete the course or at least start releasing materials for those of us who have paid. I saw months back that he said he would start back working on the course, so I paid for it in hopes I could see the progress. I remain hopeful bc I love his teaching style!
Huge thank you for the effort and the extremely well-structured lectures. I had struggles understanding the material, and I am so happy to find you among all other tutors on RU-vid.🙏
Phenomenal video !! Nice breakdown of topics backed by good choice of key words to explain the basics and wonderful visuals with colors. Thank you for this tutorial bro !!
I do everything in PowerPoint, with the occasional box / highlight using my video editor. But mostly all the movement is done in PowerPoint. Glad you enjoyed it =)
