I have a feeling this is a in between voice who could train as tenor too. I think that because he sings dark and full but not really in front, like he artificially darkens everything. It's a a superb beautiful sound but he might have even more possibilities, I mean.
I agree, this sound reminds a little of a dramatic tenor sound. However, some true baritones really have those tenoral qualities and I find those have the most beautiful baritone voices. Thomas Hampson is another example of a singer with that kind of sound. The question to ask is how well would the singer feel, and be able to sustain, singing in a higher tessitura on daily basis.
