Headcannon: ASD cat DOESN'T ignore/register ADHD cat's actions. They are fully aware. They just didn't get the social cue to play/react towards them -thinking ADHD might just need attention/need to release energy. To not interrupt them, ASD cat waits. When ADHD stops, ASD happily hugs her to show "Yes. I love you too." Source: AuDHD me.

Hello Leroy, that's precisely what I intended to convey! Autistic inertia can be understood as a sensory delay. It's important to recognize that individuals with ASD are fully aware of their surroundings and what's happening. Thank you for highlighting this point!

That is very true. One of my autistic nonverbal grandsons very rarely engages with people, but once in a while, when I make kissy noises at him, he will roll his eyes and either let me kiss his head, or else he will hold out the back of his hand for me to kiss. 🤣❤️ I love him so much!

God, I hate how accurate this is. When I talk with my friends, I NEED them to react or comment to what I say, or else I am physically unable to continue with what I was talking about until they ask me to continue.
@PixiGags
@PixiGags 3 месяца назад
Dear Radiance, It's great to hear that you resonate with the personality of this character. Here's a fun fact: sometimes I freeze just like the other character. There are moments when someone talks to me for ten minutes, and the last two minutes seem to vanish from my memory. Then, as they look at me expectantly, I suddenly snap back to attention. I realize I need to respond, but it's like I've missed a part of the conversation. It's a bit like waking up from a daydream! I've learned to be more aware of these moments, and it's made a big difference in my interactions. ✌😺

I have Autism and I also feel the same. I'm tired of talking to my "friends" (I hate them now they're not real friends, especially my exes with "adhd") just for them to ignore me. I don't care if they're shy or dont know what to say, just saying "yeah", "okay", or changing the topic entirely is enough for me because i also change the topic randomly when i ramble for hours. :)

This was very eye-opening. I have ADHD and I have a friend who has ASD. I text them as much as I can remember to, and I always feel like I'm annoying them, especially when much isn't said in the reply. However they will tell me how much they enjoy my company and talking to me. This really helped me understand the communication style we have. Thank you. Now, I'll feel less nervous about texting them. (I know them saying they enjoy my company should've been enough, but my own self hatred wouldn't let me see that.)

No worries, Paw. Your story is truly inspiring, and I appreciate you sharing it. It's great to hear how my video helped you gain self-awareness. As someone with ASD, I love it when my friends text me randomly. I often have a hard time keeping in touch with people (because I'm also introverted) and I feel that it's easier to stay in touch with the friends who are more likely to message first. Also, it's nice to have someone check in on you now and again 💖

I personally have ASD and there is a lingering guilt from not responding to loved ones messages but some days its just hard to respond at all let alone with my actual thoughts. Thats why when I have good days for communication I make sure to tell them how much their messages and connection means to me. That even when I dont respond im never annoyed and appreciate what they share. Its pure bliss that my partner understands this so well. They can immediately tell when im in a slump and find it hard to exist while being perceived and will send even more stuff so when i feel more up for it I have a lot i can respond to with no pressure on when.

As someone who has ADHD and who has a younger brother with ASD, you've captured our relationship (especially when we were kids) pretty perfectly. We have about a 6 year age gap, but I was also trying to interact with him as a kid and he just wasn't budging. But I always knew that he appreciated the positive attention (our parents were hard on him due to his ASD) One day he told me that I was his best friend too, I'll never forget that day.

I've been diagnosed with ASD, and my mom said that the first sign that something was off about me is that I seemed to be in my own little world all the time. It was difficult getting my attention. He just talks all about it when I ask something minimal like "What was the most effective Tank in WW2" and he goes into mass detail, the ammo, armor thickness, speed etc. but I am interested into this, as I just am interested into things, universally, don't care what it is, but I am always interested. The history of the lemon, interested into that. How different guns effect the human body when it hits, interested. I have ADHD too and now I can't stop thinking about if Lemon is more sour than Lime and about how they grow different and why one is green and the other is yellow.... Also why are oranges called oranges but Lemons are not called yellows or Limes called Greens? Or is tomato a fruit? Pumpkin is too right? What even is celery it's like 98% water....🤔🤔
@teddy-behr
@teddy-behr 3 месяца назад
@@shyryTsr2k hi! An autistic here, I actually I can answer those questions: commercial limes are sold underripe. Fully ripened limes are yellow like lemons are! The color orange is named after the fruit, the fruit isn't named after the color. The fruit came first! Tomatoes and pumpkins are fruit but in cooking they're used the same as vegetables because they're savory instead of sweet. This goes for other savory fruits such as olives and avocados! Celery is a stalk of the Celery plant, a stem, which stems are the things that carry water through the plant. Hope I helped !!
@shyryTsr2k
@shyryTsr2k 3 месяца назад
@@teddy-behr Wooooah 😲 These facts are insane especially about the lemon/lime ones because I didn't think limes were underriped lemons! And wait so Oranges were grown before the color became a color? Rainbows have been around since forever haven't they? So wouldn't early humans know about the color before the fruits? Idk wild guess haha. Also what you're saying is savory fruits are USED as vegetables but are not vegetables? Also why not eat the whole plant instead of just the stem of the plant or is that already a thing I don't know about? Sorry if I'm overstimulating your brain lol just so many questions in the universe and not enough answers...

@shyryTsr2k ugh bro I was writing a response but RU-vid deleted it so this one isn't going to be as enthusiastic bc I'm annoyed now lol sorry, but anyway You're a little confused about the lime fact, they're still different fruits, limes are just sold unripe because.. uh I don't actually know why, besides that they want it to taste unripe? But yeah they're still different fruits, both are just yellow when ripe :) "The earliest uses of the word in English refer to the fruit, and the color was later named after the fruit. Before the English-speaking world was exposed to the fruit, the color was referred to as "yellow-red" (geoluread in Old English) or "red-yellow". - Wikipedia page for the word orange So the color totally existed but they didn't start calling it after the fruit until a LOT later Also, all parts of the Celery plant are edible! People just eat the stalks because that's.. what they do? Maybe it tastes better than the leafy parts, I don't like Celery personally lol so I can't confirm or deny this

I have Autism and apparently I'm very extroverted, I'm just silent when I'm not around people who talk about the things I do. I honestly doubt I'm extroverted, I'm always shy, fearing of being judged, silent, scared, and definitely wanting to stay away from people at all times unless they share an interest of mine... isn't that being introverted?
@RandomGuy0400
@RandomGuy0400 3 месяца назад
@@Someone-so4zy tbh I think treating introversion vs extroversion as a binary is kinda problematic... Like, I tend to act more extroverted around people I know and when interacting with their friend groups, but on my own, when I don't have a particular friend or shared interest to act as a sort of catalyst, I tend to be more quiet and usually avoid interacting with people unless they initiate the conversation... And I don't really hate being alone, but I don't hate being around people either... I need to have some human interaction to maintain my mental health, but at the same time, it can be draining to meet new people, try new things, and visit new places... I guess you could compare me to a capacitor in an electric circuit; I can store and output energy, but I'm not that useful without a larger power source to provide charge intermittently... I also don't like conflict and tend to try and smooth out discrepancies... Like how capacitors are sometimes used to even out an alternating power source to provide a more steady current (like in a diode bridge rectifier, for example, where a capacitor is used in combination with diodes and a resistor to convert AC power to DC power)

Wow man nice animation!! I really like the silhouettes of the characters and how you convey different emotions and gestures based only with them.Its like if you remove their eyes it will still have the same impact. Keep up the good work!!!!!

Can't stop watching this, mostly because I'm an animation nerd and this is so, so amazing, both visually and technically. I mean, this is an excellent example of contrast, shape language, simplification, design-based storytelling, expressiveness even with simplification, stylism, usage of eyes in expression, silhouettes, smear frames, lower framerates not necessarily meaning less smooth...

As an autist, this is how I show affection. Random touch. I don't like being near people in general, but I love the touch of people I like

I don't have either ASD or ADHD but I am introverted so I can definitely relate to the cat on the left. I can read social cues perfectly, but sometimes I'd rather just be left alone 😊

as a someone who's got referral for asd i agree this is how i react when someone interacts with me, it's not that i ignore them, it's that i don't know how to react
@PixiGags
@PixiGags 4 месяца назад
Exactly, M0LL, I totally understand where you're coming from! Average social cues and how neurotypicals interact can indeed be challenging to navigate. For instance, when I'm around people, I often notice everyone laughing all the time, and I struggle to comprehend why. It's not that I don't want to join in; sometimes, I just don't experience things in the same way.

This is really sweet. I can be either really high energy and talkative or really quiet and just want hugs, depending on the day. I like that people can talk openly about how it’s nice to pay attention to how other people think and communicate and what makes them comfortable and various ways of showing love. We are all different but similar too.

Dear Moxiesaturday, Thank you for sharing your thoughts! It's wonderful to hear that you can diversify your style. Indeed, we all have similar parts, but they're displayed in different ways, making each of us unique.
