This is the second track from the album The Eye of every Storm.
Lyrics:
The water's deep here
The less of me I show to you
The more I get to get me through
The stain of my eyes
Burnt deep within
Who will fall?
I asked not to know
I'm sealed away, you can't touch me now
Wheel and fire return to me
Let them come
[ Find more Lyrics on www.mp3lyrics.org/gFR ]
Be my eyes, lead me on
Lift me out, tear me up, spark to fire
Whatever comes through me I will be
I had three signs thrown down on me
Fate frees my heart
Whatever comes through me I will be
Digging a hole so I can rest
No tears from no river to take me home
The seeds in my way, roots to the core
Of a rising sun falling through
the wind to the soil
As my body leaves me
I cling to a tree in a dream
I'm screaming to you
Whatever comes through me I will be

"The water's deep here." How he says it is hypnotic, dark and heavy yet somehow soft and poetic at the same time. This band is fucking awesome.

It's an awful shame what happened to the group. They are by far the most cathartic, and ingenuitive bands that I've ever existed.

It's a shame BUT. They had the chance of releasing stuff for almost 30 years straight. Few bands had such a long output with pretty much the same lineup and a steady consistency of quality. Bands like this or Converge are extremely few

There are no words in any human language that can ever possibly describe how much eye totally love this magical divine band, Neurosis. As words are 100% totally worthless and useless. Spiritual master Terence Mckenna said it best when he said- "Culture is not your friend. " Culture replaces authentic feeling with words. As an example of this, imagine an infant lying in its cradle, and the window is open, and into the room comes something, marvelous, mysterious, glittering, shedding light of many colors, movement, sound, a transformative hierophany of integrated perception and the child is enthralled !! And then the mother comes into the room and she says to the child, “that’s a bird, baby, that’s a bird, and instantly the complex wave of the angel peacock iridescent trans-formative mystery is collapsed, into the word. All mystery is gone, the child learns this is a bird, this is a bird, and by the time we’re five or six years old all the mystery of reality has been carefully tiled over with words. This is a bird, this is a house, this is the sky, and we seal (and imprison) ourselves in within a linguistic shell of dis-empowered perception.” - Terence McKenna, The World Could Be Anything (1990) .. :- )

@@leylaperdita5313 Eye can't stop laughing that LOADS of fantastic Rock bands told you since the beginning it's all about Entheogen plants (Alchemy) that take you deep within. For example, the first Metal band Black Sabbath's song titled ' Behind the Wall of sleep', to Bruce Dickinson of Maiden with his song titled ' The Alchemist', of which I have a video of the song on my channel. To Queensryche with their song titled ' Tribe', listen to tribe it's all about Shamanism and Entheogen plants. Heck, you can go to all genres of Rock, to prog rock, Isis for example has loads of spiritual experiences via Entheogen plants ( I spoke to the band), hence why the album cover to Isis' ' In the Absence of Truth', is a pot of Ayahuasca cooking. Also, Neurosis has loads of interviews of their experiences with entheogen plants ( alchemy), hence their powerful, deep, and beautiful music. Tool has loads of experiences with entheogen plants, hence the final minute of their ' Parabola' video being a montage of 7 - chakra activation along the spine to spiritual ascension. Iron Maiden's song ' Revelations' from 1983 states the exact same thing - 'Venom of the spine' for direct spiritual experiences. Bands like Epica had loads of entheogen plant experiences, as wrll as Blind guardian. Heck Blind Guardian's album cover for 1992's ' Somewhere Far Beyond' is an Ayahuasca circle with the Shaman sitting highest playing a flute with a condor bird on his shoulder. And it's not a secret Pink Floyd had Loads of Spiritual Experiences via Entheogen plants, hence the ground breaking fantastic music. The vast majority of the population have absolutely no clue what they're listening to in this magical spiritual music. The music is far too deep for their useless ego mind to understand.

This track is so beautiful. One of my favourite Neurosis songs. It cuts deep I will possibly never hear it live. As an Australian, with Neurosis having tour here for the first time ever in August this year I was bummed they did not play No River. Damn Good playlist though. What do you do when you have 20 or something years of songs all going for over 10 minutes and you are playing on our shores for the first time???? I guess you can't have everything......

Mate! They have been here twice no and absolutely no Eye of Every Storm. It's disappointing being my favourite album. They have at least played a track from every other album (sans for sovereign and pain of mind). I can't complain really. I did meet and shake both Steve Von Till's and Scott Kelly's hands. They are good blokes!

I did that years and years ago accompanied by 6 beers + Hash. LOL. Neurosis + Hash can break down anyone to the core. Honey oil hash with Neurosis is only for the bravest of the brave. It's definitely not at the powerful depths of Ayahuasca, but it's strong. Step by step by step by step, as we face all the lies of our thoughts. Add some good hash and Neurosis can totally deconstruct you nicely, did they not? LOL. . The only cures for pain is hidden perfectly deep within the pain (while everyone else in society avoids it). This is something they will never teach you in any school, or in any church, or in any psychiatry office.. Nothing is more liberating than fully facing all your darkness deep within that is far beyond the mind of thoughts. The only path to the light is by fully facing all the emptiness and darkness within. Infinite teachings of bliss and beauty far beyond any words and far beyond imagination ;-)

I've been through heaps of great and some not so great metal bands over the years, Fall of Efrafa, YOB, ISIS, Amenra, Dopethrone, Electric Wizard, Toadliquor, Eyehategod, Pallbearer, Acid Mothers Temple, Godspeed you black emperor, Bell Witch, Ufomammut, Light Bearer, Anopheli, Nadja, Burzum, Marilyn Manson, Saint Vitus, Black Sabbath, Metallica etc etc... and Neurosis are ALWAYS at the top of the list.
