Thank you for the information you’ve given in this video. I’m waiting for my pain dr to decide for me to have an MRI. Had cortisone shot for hip arthritis. Doing physical therapy but it’s not helping the left leg sciatic and low back pain. I would think an MRI would be the next step to see what is causing my pain. At 71 I’ve tried to deal with the pain but it’s very hard to do especially trying to sleep.
@@BestPracticeHealth Have one more PT day then back to see pain Dr.. PT guy said it’s probably up to pain dr. to decide if I get another round of PT or do an MRI. I definitely wouldn’t do any back shots until I know what an MRI shows. Thanks! 👍🏻
According to a couple IME doctors I have Ddd I was rear ended 3 1/2 years ago and pain is really bad same day’s even taking Gabapentin 300 ml 3 times a day I am considering an injection to get some relief and quit the pills but only 100 hours?
I completely understand your concerns when it comes to IME (Independent Medical Examination) doctors, especially in the context of workers' compensation cases. It's crucial to be cautious because not all IME physicians may prioritize your best interests. Therefore, being well-informed and advocating for what's best for your health is more important than ever. The fact that you are being prescribed Gabapentin is indeed a red flag. Gabapentin is rarely the appropriate treatment unless you've been diagnosed with neuropathic pain through an EMG (Electromyography) and there's no evidence of compression on an MRI scan. In most cases, gabapentin should not be considered as the right treatment for you.
